Leicester and Liverpool at full-strength for final Boxing Day game

Leicester and Liverpool have both named full-strength sides as the 2019 Boxing Day extravaganza comes to a close.

The King Power Stadium clash could prove a highly decisive one in this season’s title race and it’s clear each manager, Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp are taking it seriously.

Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) naturally leads Leicester’s line supported by James Maddison (£7.8m), Youri Tielemans (£6.5m), Harvey Barnes (£5.9m) and Dennis Praet (£5.3m) in midfield.

As ever, the settled back-four of Ben Chilwell (£5.8m), Çaglar Söyüncü (£5.1m), Jonny Evans (£5.2m) and Ricardo Pereira (£6.5m) all keep their places.

Liverpool’s potent front-three of Mohamed Salah (£12.2m), Sadio Mané (£12.2m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.2m) are all involved.

Meanwhile, both Andrew Robertson (£7.0m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m) start in defence.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel; Chilwell, Söyüncü, Evans, R Pereira; Ndidi, Praet; Maddison, Tielemans, H Barnes; Vardy.

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Robertson, van Dijk, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold; Keïta, Wijnaldum, Henderson; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

      Watch the City game first. Not convinced Jimenez is worth getting rid of. The fixtures are decent after Liverpool as well. ManU has been all over the place all season so Martial is a risk as well. For -4 I probably wouldn't do it unless Jimenez gets injured or whatnot.

            In his last ten gameweeks (since gameweek 9) TAA scores were as follows -

            Plus the irony is not lost on me that I got slated for capataining TAA with treble pool defence gw1.
            Now I am slated for benching him? 😀

              3. He's world class.

              4. He gets loads of crosses in.

              5. He takes free kicks and corners.

              6. He's capable of getting 10+ points in any game.

              7. There's no better fpl defender option.

              8. I haven't got the stats but i doubt anyone in the top 10k who owned him benched him.

                Just saw this now - I did not hear number1-8 said in the previous 9 gamweeks or more - prior to TAA hitting double digits
                Most of the chat was if LFC defenders were worth it ?lack of clean sheets etc

                9) I probably will bench TAA if I think there are better options in my team

                10) It only looks like a mistake in hindsight - if TAA got 2 points or 1 point v leicester would people have been surprised?
                It would be pointed out that TAA is not translating to the 'underlying stats' - leicester have the best defence in the league etc etc

    To think we used to get excited about creative attacking midfielders on set pieces getting 15 assists in a season, like that was a massive achievement. TAA does it in his sleep as a defender.

        Only ridculous in hindsight it also depends on the individuals team and who they would have to leave out.

            Maybe so, but he was not getting the points previously and I was sure liverpool would concede. Was more convinced of double Shef United and Palace defences. Oh and thought Moura would do well v Brighton.
            The way I play is everyone is benchable unless they are in top form or have a nice fixture.
