FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

The draws for the sixth round of the FFS Members Cup and the seventh round of the FFS Cup have taken place following the completion of Gameweek 21.

We’re down to the final 16 Fantasy managers in both tournaments after the New Year’s Day round of fixtures.

FFS CUP

The results from the sixth round of the open-to-all 2019/20 FFS Cup are available by clicking here.

The seventh round draw in full can be accessed here.

Our highest-ranked manager in round six (more of whom below) made it through to the round of 16.

Teddy Brewski, still chasing a cup double, beat robharr to progress to the next stage.

He will play TOMYG84 in round seven.

Our only all-top 10k clash in Gameweek 22 sees Mataatti take on Leggend2: this is the former’s third successive meeting with a manager inside the top 10,000 at the point of the tie.

Our only two remaining site users who lie outside the top 100k and who remain in the FFS Cup, stamfordbridge and A Team Has No Name, meet each other in the last 16.

FFS MEMBERS CUP

The scores from the fifth round of the 2019/20 FFS Members Cup are available by clicking here.

The sixth round draw in full can be accessed here.

An impressive four of our remaining 16 managers – including the aforementioned Teddy Brewski – are currently inside the top 1k.

Our highest-ranked entrant left in either competition remains at 14th in the world after Gameweek 21.

frankiem, who first entered the top 1k four months ago, defeated Emm7980 and will meet prbaker1980 in the sixth round.

ActorJeff and BeckerCallSaul, who have overall ranks of 388th and 586th respectively, also progressed.

The aforementioned TeddyBrewski saw off moderator TorresMagic in the first Gameweek of 2020 and will next play robharr – who he coincidentally defeated in round six of the FFS Cup.

At the million mark now in this dreadful season, squad looks decent for the weekend with a Lundstram / Alli toss up, save FT?

    Henderson
    Trent Pereira Doherty Lundstram
    KDB Martial Richarlison
    Vardy Rashford Jimenez
    (Pope, Alli, Rico, Dendoncker)
    1FT
    0.3

Honestly think I prefer Sarr or Perez to Madi. Didn't realise he'd blanked last 4 of 5 gws. Hmmm, lots of money saved aswell to upgrade maupay if he aint cutting it. And allows me to keep Perreira instead of switching to Soy which is kinda sideways

2FT 0.1itb. No idea what I’ll do ahead of next game week...

    One of the following?
    Kelly -> Balbuena or Holgate
    Ramsdale -> McCarthy
    Maupay -> DCL

What would you consider doing ahead of deadline?

    Henderson
    TAA Lundstram Soyuncu
    Mane Salah KDB Grealish
    Rashford Vardy Maupay

    Ramsdale Rico Kelly Elneny

      To score
      Maupay 3.4
      DCL 2.63

Maupay to DCL means increase in expected pts, other moves improve bench.

Quite similar to mine. Instead of Rash, Graelish and Elneny I have Martial, Ings and Dendo. I also did early Maupay to DCL to catch .1 price rise.

Thanks all. Glad I’m not the only one scratching my head.

McCarthy move would just free up funds for a rainy day. He rotated well with Dubravka so that’s combo could be an option on wildcard.

Kelly to Holgate would help strengthen my bench ahead Everton’s more favourable run of fixtures.

I’m also not sure on the Maupay to DCL move. DCL is having more shots but Maupay’s shots are of a higher quality.

MCI may not be free scoring away and goals are divided between many players. Betting on Salah to score his 2nd(?!?) away goal vs Spurs is not for me. Martial I don't trust.

I have had too many C fails in a row and don't own Sterling. He has also failed for me as C this season too often. No assists this year. Good punt though, but Vardy could easily be involved with 2 goals or maybe he wants hattie to celebrate newborn daughter 🙂

But yes, Sterling can over score Vardy easily should they both score just one. To score:
          Vardy 1.63
          Sterling 1.98

So according to bookies Vardy is likely to score and Sterling probably won't score (they make profit).

TAA has 112 points with 3 double digit hauls.
Mane has 140 points with 6 double digit hauls.

People got carried away with the Leicester game. TAA is a great player but he doesn't compare to an in-form premium attacking mid.

get your point on captaincy, no debate that the mids are far superior armband options!

Yes value is great, but this is a conversation about captain. Captain your highest scoring player, not your best value player. Half price is still pretty exaggerated as well, 7.5 (15) v 12.3.

I get all the arguments and captain should simply be who scores the most. My luck I get Mane and Salah and choose the wrong C. There is no certain way of getting the right Pool so choose according to your pocket. It is still 2 away games in a DGW and in the big scheme of things will have little material affect on overall position by season end.
I am going by my gut and having Salah/Mane with TAA and VVD. Who knows what will turn out right.

You're right at the end of the day anything can happen. I've doubled on Salah+Mane with TAA, not sure who I'll captain in the double or if I'll TC yet.

Watching Everton for the first time in ages, I can honestly say it was the worst second half performance I have seen in over 50 years supporting them. I got Sidibe due to the reviews and cannot help but think this is a major mistake. Pool youngsters destroyed Everton.

Tired legs versus fresh youth. Having survived the first half Liverpool were always going to have the upper hand as time went on. But Liverpool were magnificent second half, my worries about not having back ups to TAA and Robbo have disappeared.

Think Newcastle will survive but it's going to be some fight, Burnley need to start upping their game or they could be in real trouble!
Norwich don't have the funds to strengthen properly, something Villa will likely do! Bournemouth are truly dreadful of late!
