Scoutcast team discuss future of Vardy party and Double Gameweek 24

Join us for the latest episode of the Scoutcast on our YouTube channel tonight.

We will be live from 20:00 GMT to 21:00 GMT discussing the latest hot topics in Fantasy Premier League.

Joe will be joined by both halves of FPL Family Sam and Lee ahead of Gameweeks 23 and 24.

Jamie Vardy (£10.0m) is the player up for discussion after he was restricted to no shots in the box against Southampton.

Meanwhile, Southampton and Watford threaten to dethrone Wolves and Aston Villa as the home of mid-price and budget differentials.

Finally, with Double Gameweek 24 around the corner, Joe, Lee and Sam debate which three Liverpool players should be in our squads.

Why are people calling Kun a punt? He's the best striker in the prem when fit. Period. He will always be essential

Not really. If you're spending that much on a player the one who steps in when he doesn't start is generally cheap fodder.

He was hurt for a good portion that he didn't start? So pull those weeks out. Last year he played 80% of PL games at least. There's no long slate showing anything to prove he's rotated regularly.

Who to bench/start between Grealish & Traore?

    Analysis of stats shows:
    - Grealish more goal threat
    - Traore more assist threat
    - Similar mins per chance created
    - Grealish more shots especially inside box
    - Traore much more touches in final 3rd (Grealish drops deep to receive ball where as Traore remains advanced on RW)
    - Grealish on corners and fk (but not pens apparently after last gw)

    Conclusion....

Leaning towards Grealish but very close

I think it's fair to say Brighton are stronger defensively so drop Grealish and apologies now for when he hauls 🙁

Well IMO I'm leaning towards a Brighton cleanie but then again I am struggling this season so maybe my judgement isn't great and I'm bias with Ryan as my keeper 🙂

I have Foster - McCarthy rotation, Sarr and Ings in my XI, Mooy as bench fodder. Thinking of doubling up on either WAT or SOU def next for a club triple-up because they have both been so convincing. BHA def is not bad, mind you, just not as good as WAT or SOU currently.

    2. Karhumies
      • 11 Years
      4 years, 3 months ago

SOU: conceded 3 goals in the last 5, 2CS, complete shutdown of Vardy, second best DEF in the league currently after Liverpool.

BHA: conceded 5 goals in the last 5, 1 CS, OK def but not top of the charts.

Which one would you rather send an attacking player against?

What's the best use of 3 ft over over the next 2 weeks?
    2ft, 0.3itb

    1) Rico Grealish Jimenez-> ROBBO Fleck Maupay(will be rotating Fleck and Maupay)
    2) Grealish Jimi -> FIRMINO Hayden, gw25: Firmino Alli -> SALAH Ayew
    3) Grealish Jimi Rico -> GOMEZ Martial Ayew (and have 5 power mids for gw 24)- that power 5mid is really tempting
    4) Rico Alli Grealish -> ROBBO Hayden Martial

    Ramsdale

    Ryan
    Soy Lundstram TAA
    Salah Martial Mane KDB

    Button Rico Kelly Dendo
    1.0 itb 0ft

Anything worth a hit? Lots of tough games...
    A. Stick for now
    B. Upgrade Rico to Holgate/Stephens/other (would like to replace both medium term)
    C. Martial to Mahrez for the 'jerk'
    D. Upgrade Dendo to Cantwell

That move by laterisers or whatever his name is to bring Aguero in for Vardy may have worked out this week but he now has a rotation risk expensive striker and no Vardy who could erase a lot of those points over the next few games.

Kun is quality regardless of rotation (practically guaranteed a goal every 100 on-pitch minutes), and some Vardy regression is underway. It's a good choice if he wants a differential.

What do you guys think about Jiménez perspectives?

I’m aware Wolves are known for liking difficult fixtures, but after Southampton they are really tricky. Further, they’ll have EL from mid-late February and fixtures congestion.

Does it a sound move to move Jiménez either for Maupay/Ayew or upgrade to Firmino?

Specifically I’m choosing between those options:
    1) ROBBO Alli Maupay
    2) Kelly Alli FIRMINO
    3) GOMEZ Martial Alli
    4) ROBBO Martial Jiménez
