I see most people on here (including myself) torn between KDB & Vardy for the captaincy but I wonder if we are unfairly overlooking the Liv mids.

Mane & Salah may have only scored 1 goal between them against Utd but remember it has only been 5 PL games since they joined, and their record for this home fixture is:
    Salah: 2 games, no returns.
    Mane: 2 games, 1 goal.

This isn’t great but I don’t think it’s enough to say they have an ‘awful record’ against Utd, especially considering ‘pool are playing better than ever before.

    Thoughts?

I just cant help think UTD will keep it tight and that will be there main focus. Liverpool always seem to be cagey against them every time

ManU will surely park the bus.
Unlikely fo me to give armband in these type of matches.
But an early goal can change everything and likely be a goal galore.

Worth taking a 1 week punt on Kun? 2 FT and 1M itb, the plan is:

Rash + Martial to Kun + Doucoure
next week, Kun + Rico to Rash + Robbo

    current team for this GW:
    Hendo
    TAA Lunds Dunk
    MAne KDB Grealish Cantwell Martial
    Ings Vardy

    Button, Rash, Rico, Cathcart

Why not Martial to Doucoure this week & Rico to Robinson next week?
      No hits required!
Aguero’s not essential & may be rested or have his minutes managed - Sterling will definitely play against his former club & will have to be squeezed in - you just cannot trust Pep’s roulette

Solid team... I’d be nervous with Lundstram on the bench but I’m not sure who he would play over... a well drilled SHU could do well v ARS

no need to use the FT

captain, intrigued to know why KDB over Vardy, or is it literally 50/50?

I’m happy just having Henderson for this game. Lundstram looked a bit out of sort in recent games.

      KDB.

Vardy has only 3 goals in 9 starts vs Burnley in PL. Might be something about the way they set up that stifles him. But admittedly they are on terrible form right now.

I’ve got 0.9 to spare now and my plan is Jimi Rich -> Ings Salah next week. So cash is not a problem. Taking a hit to get Ings now would be to get his price rise tonight and if he gets more points than Jimi this week. The points are what matters most though. Do you think Ings will outscore Jimi by more than 4 points this week?

guess it is to fund Salah? But you can get him next week by the same transfer? if so, i would possibly wait as that game is pretty even, and i fancy Saints to be good in it but not sure Ings outscores Jimi with 4.

    Current team
    Pope Button
    Taa Gomez Sidibie Lundy Kelly
    Mane KDB Rich Moura Grealish
    Ings Vardy Maupay
    1FT 3.0itb

    Gw23 save FT
    Gw24 Gomez - Robbo
Gw25 can easily get Salah in if he fires via Moura Grealish and Gomez for a -4

This allows me to have Moura and Grealish for their goodish fixtures before shipping out.

Ryan & McCarthy’s fixtures are great at the mo but later during DGWs both have poor fixtures so maybe best to pick McCarthy for now & Pope or Henderson for later & run in to end of season - that way you won’t have to change both.

I’d would probably shift martial out.
Rashford is unlikely to start also. So Lundstram will come on regardless.

Kdb captain is what I’ve gone with also

    McCarthy - Button
    TAA - Kelly - Lund - Rico - Soy
    Salah - KDB - Martial - Perez
    - Grealish
    Vardy - Abraham - Ings

    A) Abraham + martial ----> mane + greenwood
    B) Abraham + perez -----> firmino + doucoure/Sarr

I might do it this gw or NEXT gw depending on price changes

If you look at the betting odds, they have very similar chances of scoring, so the expected points suggest no. Just do the transfer next GW.

Sarr is my super differential. Playing a team in disarray, for a team in form. But no reason to get him in if you don't already have him

he won´t, played something like five games for Udinese, this is a classic Watford transfer (that Pozzo family who also owns Udinese), Sarr is a star in the making so competition from a substitute for Udinese seems like no competition to me. Shaqiri also competition for Salah, but it very rarely affects his play time.

Agree but if they do play and haul it's a massive ranking drop due to EO. If you're chasing however then there is value in going Firmino or double def

I thought same but I've gone Soy over Lund (playing Sidibe) as Burnley recent stats are awful for chances created and Barnes also out for hernia op. Lund definitely has the higher pts ceiling though if you're chasing

Not certain how much I believe in Spurs but if Son shows this week he certainly has two tasty ones and that midfield and attack 🙂

    Son and Sarr (-4)
    Martial and Moura/Dilva

    Ryan
    TAA Lund Holgate
    Mane Mo KdB Martial Maddison
    Vardy Ings

        It’d be a minus 4 in 24 if I went there.

Maddison out is what I’m thinking. Have these choices

        Dilva
        Rich
        Sarr
        Moura
Son minus 4 with Martial out too

What’s wrong with saving the FT this week so you don’t need a -4 next week, or am I missing something?

      1. pingissimus
        • 5 Years
        4 years, 2 months ago

I’ve used two FTs to get Ings from Jim and Holgate to avoid Kelly Rico Kiko heaven!!!!

Dilva is what I’m really thinking next time. I’m expecting City to explode goals. City against anyone is better than Spurs imo right now. Also KdB Dilva feels good

Got 2 FT. What to do with this lot?

    Ramsdale*
    TAA, Kiko*, Robertson, Soy, Holgate
    Salah, Moura, KDB, Martial, Sarr
    Vardy, Ings, Greenwood

Thinking Ramsdale ----> McCarthy. Also wondering if I need Mane, rather than double Pool defence?

Thats close to a wild card.
