Scoutcast crew debate whether to Wildcard after Double Gameweek 24

Fresh from, what was for many, a disastrous outcome of the Triple Captain, the Scoutcast are moving onto the next chip: the second Wildcard.

The Fantasy Premier League community has been debating the best time to press the overhaul button and we’ll bring you our thoughts tonight.

Join Joe, Az and Lee for the latest episode of the Scoutcast at 20:00 GMT on our YouTube channel.

The three pundits will give their views on the Wildcard as well as what to do with the injured Sadio Mané (£12.4m).

The Liverpool man, heavily backed for the Triple Captaincy in Double Gameweek 24, has already been ruled out of the game against West Ham and is a major doubt for Gameweek 25 too.

Is now the time to sell or hold Mané? Joe, Az and Lee will discuss that in some depth.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa and Leicester will be going head-to-head in their EFL Cup semi-final second leg so we will do our best to bring you updates from that game.

      Have been looking at VVD vs Robertson as a replacement for Mane. Benching Mane for GW25 and plan to transfer him out for one of the two defenders for GW26. Not sure Firmino is as good an option given all his returns have been in away matches plus at 9.6m, I think going with Robertson or VVD offers better value.

      Leaning toward getting VVD atm since I think he is least likely to be rested even after Liverpool secures the league title.

          Your're welcome. It was a toss up between VVD & Robertson but when I saw Robertson had 3 matches where he did not play 90 minutes vs VVD playing 90 in every match makes me think VVD is the one to have going forward.
          Looks like Mane's injury may create a shift back to having premium defenders even with some good budget defender options available. By GW26 will have TAA, VVD & Laporte as my premium defenders as well as switching from a 3-5-2 to a 3-4-4 formation. Good luck navigating these blank and double gameweeks.

        Vardy is going nowhere. Him not blanking in GW 28 is a good surprise.

        Re Son, yes I'm worried about Spurs overall form. Was on Aguero Traore instead of Jimenez Son previously .... Not sure about it ..

          Jim / Son is definitely free of rotation risk ... Aguero can score massive but I do worry having him - its a captain fail waiting to happen. Hopefully Lo Celso in and Eriksen gone frees up the Spurs a bit ..

          I think he is playing better whereas Perez is only performing in Vardy's absence which wont be the case in future.

          On the other hand, I have read that Perez performs well at end of the season.

          If you like Perez, then stick. Not much difference in them.

      Use the FT to replace Mane only.
      Keep Vardy. I would be inclined to consider a replacing Dilva (to Grealish perhaps?) before any other move.

      A future move of Soy or Kelly to a Robertson/VVD would also be a solid one

      He is an insanely good player, pens and attacking focal point of an attacking team

    Is Firmino(9.6) better option than Auba and Kun ?

    Im actually think he is based on his form,stats,fixtures and price.

      Depends on your defender strategy. I have Firmino and with Mane out I will hold for a couple of weeks. I want Auba if no Barcelona. Kun will drive me mad with captaincy.

    On -12 and will be taking some hits for GW26 after WC went tits up.

    Waiting to see how much Bruno Fernandes will be loaded at. Hoping around the 7.5m mark. Doubt will be less than that but want to jump on early pending his price.

        Got rid of Vardy, Mane and Mahrez.

        Sometimes hits hurt like a mofo but other times they pay off.

        Also going for players which are not too highly owned so more hits to come...

          I have Mane TC, Salah, TAA
          But i tried to play differential in my minileague as all around me was on salah tc based on recency bias.. i really thought Mane would never blank for another time... gutted...
