Update on FFScout Memberships

In light of the Premier League’s recent announcement, Fantasy Football Scout would like to clarify the situation for our existing members.

The Premier League is now suspended until April 4, which means all Gameweek 30 and 31 fixtures have been postponed.

That, in turn, means there are no more matches of Fantasy relevance in the month of March.

While our Members’ tools remain open to use, and strategy-based articles will continue to be posted behind the paywall, we appreciate that, even as we all look forward to the return of the league, there is no immediate Gameweek to prepare for.

We would encourage you not to cancel your Scout membership as, once you do, you will immediately lose the benefits of access to the Members Area, data, tools and any articles we produce behind the paywall.

Instead, if you signed up for a rolling monthly subscription that has missed (or will in the future miss) a Gameweek due to the Premier League suspension, we are happy to offer a cancellation and partial refund for the relevant period. If so, get in touch with support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Naturally, should further postponements occur in the Premier League, beyond April 4, then this policy will continue for that period, so you won’t be paying for Gameweeks that you miss.

What to do if you think you might have coronavirus*

If you think you might have coronavirus or you’ve been in close contact with someone who has it:

  • stay at home and avoid close contact with other people
  • do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital
  • use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do next

The 111 coronavirus service will tell you if you need to continue to stay at home (self-isolate) or if you need medical help.

    So I'm reading reports now saying that it is highly likely that the premier league season will not be completed at all and will be declared null and void.

    As a Liverpool fan who was at Anfield when they last clinched the league and has had to wait 30yrs for the next title, this is just utterly sickening. Whilst they may still be given the league what a dreadful way to win it when it was not mathematically over.

    Was looking forward to the title clinching game. But now what do we have? Absolutely nothing! No on field celebrations and probably no trophy parade. Just beyond depressing.

    Why they can't play the matches behind closed doors is beyond me.

          I think the clubs like United Pool Arsenal Barca Munich spend from earned revenue without ruining FFP unlike PSG/City.

            Maybe . Bruno is a good player and he totally makes the difference. The thing is most top teams have been poor this year so it's hard to say. You would expect them all to step up

            I am not a fan of FFP. Why should Liverpool and UTD be the ones who can spend loads . If it wasn't for oil money UTD would be untouchable. It's good for competition. I only care about the football side of it though

              Your point is very good though regarding untouchability.

              This season has been very different. I hope United can spend more ££ now & buy some good players.

              Regarding teams being poor yeah, inconsistency of Leicester Chelsea & City made this season different.

              The reason i like FFP bdw is post Neymar transfer market has been pathetic & it should limit the clubs spending more than they actually earn/ can bring prices down for players. I mean Maguire 90m/Stones 50m/Kaku 70m/Kepa 70m/Pogba 90m ......

                They need to find a way to sort it that is equally fair on all teams. Not sure how, maybe a spending cap? I guess that would stop the best players coming to the prem though. There must be a better way. Having all the good players in the prem and many teams who could compete for the title is good for the game and our entertainment, which is the most important part as that's what we watch it for

              I would counter your argument, that the money side of it becomes an issue when you start having state run clubs, that are backed by unlimited wealth, there is a massive difference between Oil money(ie Abramovich) and the likes or City, or whoever ends up getting bought over by the Saudis. The latter will be beyond reach of everyone else without some sort of FFP.

                I haven't got answers to any of it really. I just think without it, it's back to advantage UTD, pool , Barca. How are other teams meant to grow commercially and their brand throughout the world if it's only the teams that are already massive globally that are allowed to grow

            They might be spending from earned revenue now, but it wasn't always the case, the Spanish clubs especially reached that position by going into debt before there was FFP to prevent that. How was this any better than what is/was happening with PSG and City?

            FFP is a good idea but the way it has been implemented is ridiculous and just guarantees the same clubs stay at the top. Let's not pretend it is there to maintain equity.

    Not easy to say at this point but assume GW32 will go as planned. Most of us have 2 FT and wise thing is to wait till last moment before deadline.

    Its all well and good for ex players to come out and say scrap the cups, to get the league finished, but when your already at the QF stage, as a club who are still in it, and its your best chance of getting some silverware, why would you want to to cancel scrap that as a priority to get the league finished.

    All well and good for Liverpool, who are out of the remaining cups, to be like, yeah scrap the cups, lets get the league finished.

    I know the league has to be finished, but the fa cup is an extra 3 rounds of games.

    In my head 2 head league that has an odd number of teams, each week a team plays against the Average. This is going to be an automatic win, right? as long as that team doesn’t take a hit. The Average will most likely be less than 0. —so this team gets a free 3 points basically and moves up the table while all other teams in that league most likely get the 1 point draw.

    I was just watching yesterday's podcast with Joe and David and I honestly don't understand why there is no point in using a second FT. Most people either brought in players targeting BGW31 (who they would not want in their team in the long run) or targeting fixture swings (who they would not have wanted for the season run-in anyway). Surely if you have a transfer to spare you sell one of them for any player you might otherwise have wanted for the remaining fixtures. And unless you are losing value in them it doesn't change anything as far as the eventual GW32 (or later) transfer is concerned.

    A > B > C with two FTs and A > C with one FT and one wasted FT are the same worst case scenario.
