Update on FFScout Memberships

In light of the Premier League’s recent announcement, Fantasy Football Scout would like to clarify the situation for our existing members.

The Premier League is now suspended until April 4, which means all Gameweek 30 and 31 fixtures have been postponed.

That, in turn, means there are no more matches of Fantasy relevance in the month of March.

While our Members’ tools remain open to use, and strategy-based articles will continue to be posted behind the paywall, we appreciate that, even as we all look forward to the return of the league, there is no immediate Gameweek to prepare for.

We would encourage you not to cancel your Scout membership as, once you do, you will immediately lose the benefits of access to the Members Area, data, tools and any articles we produce behind the paywall.

Instead, if you signed up for a rolling monthly subscription that has missed (or will in the future miss) a Gameweek due to the Premier League suspension, we are happy to offer a cancellation and partial refund for the relevant period. If so, get in touch withΒ support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Naturally, should further postponements occur in the Premier League, beyond April 4, then this policy will continue for that period, so you won’t be paying for Gameweeks that you miss.

What to do if you think you might have coronavirus*

If you think you might have coronavirus or you’ve been in close contact with someone who has it:

  • stay at home and avoid close contact with other people
  • do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital
  • use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do next

The 111 coronavirus service will tell you if you need to continue to stay at home (self-isolate) or if you need medical help.

Last Man Standing Update (279 teams)

    No eliminations this GW.
7 teams took hits which will be counted at the next GW with games unless they WC.
If any of the 7 use FH, the hits will count in the GW after unless they WC.
    No eliminations in GW31 also.
% out will increase on the standard numbers depending on when FPL resumes but would probably need to start by GW35 to make it plausible.
The next % is likely to be minimum 50% out.

why not just complete the season whenever football can restart. Its only 9 more games. If changes need to be made make them to the next season, scrap replays in the Fa cup postpone the euros. Scrap pre season if needed, scrap the international breaks during the next season also if needed and just complete this season whenever possible.

Making it null and void after 75% of the season is done and starting a new season with 22 makes no sense nor does starting earlier etc to accomadate 22 teams.

Again just finish the remaining 9 games whenever football can restart even if they play 2 games a week to finish it off faster.

Im reading so many options that make no sense. The most logical is to just finish this season first and then move forward.

It does make sense and I’d agree in principle. But what if there is no availability until say September? Do you then damage the integrity of the 2020/21 season? Or simply void 2019/20 and start again afresh?
Outside of team loyalties and bias, I’m not sure what the right move is. Obviously to try and complete the remaining 9-11 matches across the leagues is the priority, but probably not at the risk of damage to a second season. So I’d probably agree with Karen Brady (eeek).

Even so. They shouldn't delay next season to finish this one.

we are in an unprecedented situation and some compromises will have to be made but handing Liverpool the title or voiding the season seem like unfair decisions. As do keeping the table as it is or extrapolating points based on past performances.

The 22 team option - adding Leeds and West Brom seems like it harms the integrity of the competition way more than delaying the season next year and/or scraping the replays, IBs and preseason. Not to mention the trickle down effect that will have on all the lower leagues.

So I think the best and most logical option is to just finish these 9 games as soon as football can resume and compromise in the cups and international football next season.

              • 14 Years
              4 years, 14 days ago

It's the possible domino effect to everything. How will they get back on track if they delay everything. It isnt fair on Liverpool at all i get that. It could skew everything for a long time though. Not even sure they would let that happen.

Funny enough they are saying the Olympics are going ahead. UEFA could suprise us yet and not postpone EURO 2020 then the season has to end

              1. ZimZalabim
                • 7 Years
                4 years, 14 days ago

The problem is that every solution will leave someone unhappy but if that happens in a solution where it is the most fair to the most teams/organisations then its fine.

The delays would have to be managed by doing away with most of preseason and replays and at least one or two of the international breaks, there isn't another way I can see.

Voiding the season means no relegation and the same teams as last year play European football. That also means that the UCL and UEL have to be voided. Thats unfair to so many teams not just Liverpool both in the Prem but also in the Chmampionship.

All other options including delaying the start of next season to complete this leave someone or the other unhappy and in a potentially unfair situation.

But like you are saying with the Euro 2020 situation there is still so much that isn't clear and at this point we just have to wait and see what is decided.

Agree, why would you start a new season when you haven’t finished the last one. It takes as long as it takes it should be finished if you can start a new one you can finish this one. Everyone is thinking about Liverpool and they shouldn’t be robbed but there is another 10 teams getting robbed of promotion in the football league too. I’m sure the people making the decisions will see it that way, they have the imagination to understand that lines in the sand can be moved regarding the start of a new season. Football in this country would lose integrity built pretending all this season didn’t happen. You can’t rob season ticket holders of all this time and expect them to be ok with it all being for nothing

Think I’m going to have to go and find an all night toilet roll store.

But I’m pleased to know it wasn’t you who raided my local shop for pasta.

I assumed that like Corona beer, people would avoid pasta, as a famously Italian food.

If miraculously GW 32 is on, is there a chance this could become a DGW? πŸ™‚

Will all FPL cup games go to coin toss (assuming no hits/transfers)?
13 consecutive wins to go to a coin toss seems odd.

Does anyone know an easy way to check how many teams have the same score as you and also check the number of transfers each of those teams has made?

I believe Seinfeld is on All4 atm, sitcom GOAT and the perfect thing for putting all this crap happening outside to the back of your mind for a while. If you're not in the mood for comedy, All4 also has The Shield right now.

        TV Series:
Watchmen is worth a watch & The Leftovers is outstanding - both by Damon Lindelof who has really developed since doing Lost (which was great in parts, particularly early on - but ended disappointingly)

Movies: Children of Men is fantastic & quite topical given current events - based on a brilliant book as well that’s hard to put down once you’ve started

Yeah, Apocalypto was a proper fix to a day without football. The film is not to short and neither too long.

On to the next classic. And no, it will not include any Fast n Furious editions. What a waste of time those are πŸ˜‰
