As ever there’s a mix of questions on Fantasy returns and notable events, which vary in difficulty from the straightforward to the nigh-on impossible.

The multi-choice format at least ensures you have a 25% chance of getting each one of them right…

Could work! Norwich have conceded 11.74% of their Attacks Against (213). The worst record in the league. Wishing I'd done TC Salah now too...

Watching Boris on TV here in the States (he's talking about the way forward) and, surprisingly to me, he's making some sense! Keep preaching caution, sir...cannot afford a second wave or spike.

What you need from a leader during a pandemic is clear language.

Not phrases which mean one thing for one person and a different thing for another person.

Hopefully the economy can be wound back up without causing a second wave.

If this goes on any longer there will be no jobs to go back to.

Considering he's half a loon, and I am a political junkie, you bet your arse it is. He's easy to criticize...now isn't one of those times. If anyone needs more specific 'guidance', wait for the NHS folks to speak up.

If there's a time to criticise your leader, it's during a pandemic.

He's failed the NHS completely and his ambiguous statements today risk a second wave - he's opened the door for a large number of people to spend the whole day in the park. There's a few on here who work for the NHS, let them tell you their first hand experience about PPE shortages. I feel for them most.

What is confusing about this? Jesus, dont argue just for the sake of it.
            -------------------
U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a modest easing of the country’s coronavirus lockdown Sunday and outlined his government’s road map for further lifting restrictions in the coming months.

In a televised address to the nation, Johnson said people in Britain who can’t work from home, such as those in construction or manufacturing jobs, “should be actively encouraged to go to work” this week.

However, he said they should not travel by public transport and should abide with social distancing guidelines when at work.

Johnson said that starting Wednesday, a restriction limiting outdoor exercise to once a day will be lifted and that people will be able to take “unlimited amounts.”

He said people will be able to sunbathe, drive to other destinations and resume playing sports, but only with members of the same household.
The prime minister, who spent a week in the hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19, stressed that everyone must carry on abiding by social-distancing rules when out in public and that fines for flouting them will be increased.

Johnson said his government was able make some changes in the lockdown conditions it set because coronavirus-related deaths in the U.K. are declining along with hospital admissions of patients with the virus. But he said it would be “madness now to throw away that achievement by allowing a second spike.”

Johnson also laid out a “conditional plan” for relaxing other lockdown restrictions in the coming months, including the possible return to school for some younger children on June 1.

He said he hoped some of the hospitality industry and more public places can reopen a month later, provided they are safe and enforce social distancing. can reopen a month later.

The prime minister said he wanted to provide a “sense of the way ahead, and when and how and on what basis we will take the decisions to proceed.”

Do you agree that the phrase 'Stay Alert' may mean one thing for one person and another thing for a different person?

Do you agree that allowing unlimited outdoor activity in parks will lead to congregations of large numbers and risk a second wave?

How does one get to work without public transport? Not everyone can cycle to work, not everyone can afford taxis to work.

That’s the whole point of it, how you react should be based on your circumstances. If you need to go to work, then do so. If you don’t really need to go and don’t have a safe way of doing so, then don’t.

The whole country can’t just stay at home until a vaccine is found so lockdown will have to be slowly eased to keep the economy alive.

My nephews wife works as an A+E nurse in London and she was saying that they are actually being well supplied with PPE and traffic in her determent at least is well down on normal levels.

The only people i seen saying that there was a shortage of ppe on the ground was a bunch of political hacks on a BBC panorama show last week which has been totally debunked.

            1. goriuanx

I hope that's true and good on her if so, but it's not a reflection of the majority of NHS staff.

There's staff who are sharing masks because of a lack of PPE. There's staff who don't have PPE at all.

Yet Boris has given the public free reign to congregate in parks for as long as they like.

I hope they are being well taken care of too and it's possible she was saying that so as not to be getting the rest of the family overly worried.

I would have to hear that with from someone on the ground with no political axe to grind before i would believe it and you can imagine i am quite skeptical of the media after that stunt by BBC panorama which made members of my family quite worried about the welfare of my nephew and niece in-law.

The show presented the guests on the show as just normal NHS workers on the ground but failed to mention that they were all political activists for the Labour party and the story they told did not match up with others working in the same buildings.

Meant to say department instead of determent in the post above, sorry for the spell check fail.

Shanghai Shenhua expect Odion Ighalo to return from his loan spell at Manchester United in time for the start of the new Chinese Super League season in July [Sky Sports]

Tricky legal situation - I guess if the two leagues follow similar calendars then players remain at the club they were loaned to, but if the calendars don't align (ie PL and Chinese Super League) the player returns to the parent club?

Ready to hear your ‘counter argument’ any time you like, particularly the ‘safe’ return part...

No-one’s heard your argument either. Unless the Daily Mail’s argument is your argument.

I would have thought my opinion on this was obvious when I shared Robson’s thoughts with the comment ‘...speaking sense’. But anyway I made my argument on here in a long discussion a few days ago.

              It’s in this thread:

But if you don’t want to read that then the short version is - Robson’s argument is my argument.

Seems like you got some very valid counter arguments. I think your concerns are valid but you have to accept that many clubs are going to fall out of existence altogether before football can restart with no risk. If any survive at all.

Ouch. Was kind of hoping to see the 1st argument for cancelling the season that didn’t involve a big dose of self-interest.

It is a valid argument if you plan not to restart football at all until a vaccine is found. However that would also mean most clubs going bankrupt and closing down.

The point of the lockdown is to ease the burden on the health services during the peak. When the peak is over, it makes sense to take as much precaution as possible and restart the season. This applies not just to football but other sports and other industries as well. Very few organisations would be a going concern in a scenario where lockdown goes on until a vaccine is found, which is at least a year away. And you should also take into account that an effective vaccine might not even be found in the foreseeable future.

We need some sort of middle ground where Gentle Turks gets his bad FPL rank expunged but hundreds of thousands of people don’t lose their jobs due to clubs falling out of existence.

In real FPL, would you rather have Auba or Jimi?

Jimi. Auba plays on the wing and has to backtrack a lot. He'll probably still score well (if the season restarts) but Jimi is better value.
