Premier League release official fixtures and initial TV schedule

The Premier League have released the first batch of official fixtures for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

The schedule they have provided so far falls in line with the order of games originally planned before the coronavirus suspension in March.

That means the matches originally scheduled to be played in Gameweek 30, will all take place on the weekend of June 20 and June 21.

They will combine with Sheffield United’s trip to Aston Villa and Manchester City’s hosting of Arsenal in what is expected to be a Double Gameweek.

Which means the Double Gameweek line-ups for those four teams look like this:

TeamMatch 1Match 2
ArsenalMan City (A)Brighton (A)
Aston VillaSheff United (H)Chelsea (H)
Man CityArsenal (H)Burnley (H)
Sheff UnitedAston Villa (A)Newcastle (A)

The Premier League has also released the television schedule for the two Gameweeks beyond what would have originally been Gameweek 30.

These correspond to what would have been Gameweek 31 (before the FA Cup postponements) and Gameweek 32.

However, the fixtures that would have comprised the rounds of action beyond Gameweek 33 have not yet been released by the Premier League.

Furthermore, we will have a more detailed analysis of the teams who have the best fixtures in the first three Gameweeks soon.

In the mean-time don’t forget to check out Neale’s excellent work identifying the best and worst fixtures from the remainder of the season as a full block. READ IT HERE.

We should just clarify that, even though the TV dates heavily imply where the Gameweeks fall, the official deadlines/boundaries of these Gameweeks has not yet been confirmed by Fantasy Premier League.

    I take it all back!

This article has been put together incredibly quickly. Well done, guys. Like the Jazz Drum teacher from Whiplash, I may be a disliked figure amongst some, but I help raise standards to the required level and push FFS to the pinnacle of FPL content.

If I allow the slightest let up, then it's only a matter of time before there is a hostile takeover of FFS by the Hub.

Like many of the great geniuses & trailblazers of history Virg, you are not yet fully appreciated by your contemporaries

Their minds are simply not yet ready to fathom that of which they cannot conceive

In time though I fully expect statues, libraries, museums, pictures on bank notes, perhaps even an entire currency in your honour

For it will only be in retrospect they realise that for a brief time they walked amidst true greatness

You are not disliked, quite the opposite. Occasionally funny but always self deprecating. Those are great traits to have.
I am not exactly sure how you raise the standards to the required level; but if you feel like you are doing so and that makes you happy, then that is also an admirable trait.

Your biggest problem is that you are awful at FPL and your obsessive following of the articles on here and other sites along with slavishly following podcasts and so-called elite players has been vey detrimental to your FPL playing.

You are far too cautious a manager and that is a fatal flaw. You opened your soul some time back as you were struggling to understand where you were going wrong with FPL. Myself and many others tried to advise you to ease off on the obssesiveness and try and play your own way and develop your on style but you never listened and until you do will always remain crap at FPL and nothing more than a light hearted FFS curiosity/ quasi-troll who provides occasional brevity for the proper players that use this site but comment infrequently.

"your obsessive following of the articles on here and other sites along with slavishly following podcasts and so-called elite players has been vey detrimental to your FPL playing."

Nailed it pal . Those who obsess over other players and belive anyone who happens to own a youtube account , has knack for creating rip off spreadsheets or the ability to brainwash somone that its a good idea to give up their cash to join a pointless patreon is actually superior to themselves and the fount of all knowledge will never get anywhere . It is the worse thing about the whole fpl community imo. People who follow these and make moves based on what they are told by these people can't class themselves as " good players " no matter where they finish and it will force them into a way of playing that doesn't sit with their own personality

No WC left. Only Hendo and KDB as current DGWers, so tempted to play my FH and field this XI

        Hendo
        TAA Lundstram Stevens
        Sterling KDB Grealish McGinn Pepe
        Auba Kun

... but if I knew we gonna get a big DGW further down the line Id save my FH.

I only have FH left with just KDB and Aubameyang. 100% playing it. I'll have Laporte over TAA and not McGinn. Prefer Samatta in a 3-4-3. Aguero is a concern having said they shouldn't play

I know, but Im not confident in Jesus (no pun intended).

Aguero will start one of those two games I think. Ive thought the same as you when I read his comments but... once they start playing again, he will smell goals to come and be his old silver fox self again, wont he?

I have Auba, Saka, KdB, and O’Connell, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be playing my FH. It’s risky with the teams involved, and being the first games back fitness will a massive factor, but with no other DGW likely, I don’t see a better time.

I don't have as much cash as you, but other than Egan in place of either Lunds or Stevens I intend having the same FH team for the restart.

Well! Seems like the PL and FPL is back.

So with that, what should I do about this team(I stupidly took out Auba during the break):

    Pope
    Maguire-TAA-Lund-(Catchcart-Taylor)
    Salah-Mane-Martial-Fernandes-(Dendo)
    Ings-Jimenez-DCL

I have 1.2itb and still have my FH, BB and WC.

    Any help is much appreciated.

I think I would personally play FH if I were you to get some City & Arsenal players.

Your team is set up quite nicely for following immediate GWs.

The big games like LIV/EVE & MUN/TOT are a bit unpredictable. No idea if they will be high or low scoring. Hard to say where the points will be at.

Early days, of course, but here's an actual FPL transfer question:

    Pope
    TAA / Doherty / AWB
    Salah / KDB / Fernandes / Barnes
    Aubameyang / Jiminez / DCL

    Button // Egan / Dendoncker / Rico

Assuming I still have my 2FT, for the DGW
    A) Salah/DCL > Aguero/Grealish (+ bench AWB)
    B) Leave as-is, bench DCL for Egan
    C) Leave as-is, bench AWB for Egan

Alternatively I could use my FH. Thing is, most of my players fixtures are pretty decent aside from the MUN/TOT & LIV/EVE game. Pope has City and Henderson obviously better, but would my FH even be drastically different?

    1. JBG
      • 5 Years

Not sure about bringing in Aguero.. We all know about Peps love of rotation, will probably rotate despite not having CL, so annoying. And Liverpool loves playing against Everton, so Salah can easily get a high score.

So C.. Hard to say tbh.

Is anyone else worried about players who typically score well at home? Given that only 20% of Bundesliga games since the restart have seen a home win, is the home advantage still a thing? If not, should we be worried about, say, Salah, who has only 2(!) away goals all season. On the other hand, does Firmino become an option given that he has 8 away goals this season (none at Anfield).

My thoughts are that no fans is a plus to the 'bigger' teams. I think the 'smaller' sides really rely on their home backing to give them the energy and belief till the end (Villa and Sheff U are two that spring to mind). Though granted I think we have all seen some teams panic when the panic seems to transfer from fans to players, so there would be less of that.

If we get unlimited transfers, which chip is better for someone who has both FH and TC left for GW39?

I would probably TC Kdb/Aguero/Mahrez OR FH around 8 DGW players in.

Because the games are planned so that the cup games are already set aside for separate gw's and CL for after the Prem ends. The only thing that could cause any other dgw's are unforeseen postponements.

It could hardly be clearer. From FPL site

‘Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal on 17 June and the full match round that follows from 19 June will constitute the first full Gameweek.’

Because the fixtures will result in no DGWs.

Only have 2 dgwers and if thats the only dgw we'll have have to use the BB

I was talking to a mate who works on the FPL servers and he told he's working tirelessly on bringing in unlimited transfers, should go live at about 4am UK time was his estimate.

With 7m+ teams he'll never get it done in that time. Agree with the 4am but I think it'll be Monday.

What would you do in this case?

    Have FH & BB left.
Already have triple Shu defence and KDB for DGW

    A. Play BB gw 39, adding maybe Grealish and Kun
    B. Play FH

If FH isn't the best option for you, there is no pressure to play it.

It could come in handy in a few GWs time. We've seen how there is an increase in injuries, and any player could have to quarantine at a latter date.

Or maybe, once we know the remaining fixtures, there is a tricky GW upcoming for your team to maneuver, which it could be useful for.

See above but I have Doherty, Jimenez & Barnes. I could FH then out but they have good fixture for the DGW alongside my already DGW players. Just a decision we'll have to make.

Told two 'pre-season friendlies' likely to take place are West Ham v QPR and Crystal Palace v Charlton. Clubs can start playing friendlies from tomorrow.

    So, here's a thought.
If we restart with unlimited transfers, will we be able to use our free hit chip. If not, I'll be well peed off.

If you play your Free Hit, any transfers you make will be part of that Free Hit.
      It's a trap!

We should be, as it is not a WC.

Closest to that situation would be GW1 in which we have unlimited transfers and able to use BB.

You can’t FH in GW1, so I assume the same would happen IF we got unlimited transfers, but I personally don’t think we’ll get unlimited transfers.

Assuming the first GW will be the only DGW, is my below conclusion correct as a FH, BB and WC owner with only a couple of DGWers (KDB abd Stevens)?

    - BB, if we are given unlimited transfer
    - FH, if not

  25. Tinkermania

Of course you will be able to use it at some point. Is that what you are asking?

With this squad going into week 29 I am not sure if I should play FH as no WC left. Got BB and 3.2 m in bank but I think post 29 this is an OK squad (will probably get rid of Lundstram for Egan, perhaps and only holding 2 playing keeper until I BB).
    So either I

    A FH
B Take - 4 for Jimenez to Aguero or Aubameyang, Barnes to Grealish and Doherty to Baldock giving me 6 DGW players.

    Leno Pope
    TAA Doherty Maguire Lundstram Fernandez
    Salah KDB Fernandes Barnes Cantwell
    Jimenez Jota DCL

Everyone was gonna play the FH when there were limited games. Now I don't see the need. Don't take a hit, and don't transfer out Wolve's best two players. IMO GL

So is everyone back bar Kante?

    1. HamezMace

Officially I think Kante is the only player who’s not playing.
I wonder if some players have privately asked not to be involved.
Especially those in teams with nothing to play for, or players who are looking to move this summer (I mentioned Ryan Fraser in this category) Lyle Taylor at Charlton has said he won’t play as he’s looking at a big transfer away this summer.

Teams back and 2 free transfers if you didn't make any in Wk38 would be the norm and in accordance with the rules. Anything else will be a marketing ploy by fpl to increase traffic to the site. They don't owe us a wildcard or unlimited transfers.
