Win a year’s membership by joining our FPL mini-league and raise money for the NHS

We have launched a new Fantasy Premier League classic mini-league to mark the resumption of the 2019/20 season, with scoring starting from Gameweek 30+.

Whether you’re currently ranked first in the world or closer to the seven-million mark, everyone is in with a chance of winning as all entrants start from zero.

Head to the FPL site via this link and use the code ‘i3lxye’ to sign up (full details are towards the bottom of this piece).

There’s not only pride at stake in this mini-league but the carrot of free annual memberships to the managers who finish in the top five places.

Don’t worry if you’re already subscribed for 2020/21 – we’ll refund your payment if your finish qualifies you for this prize.

Our new end-of-season mini-league is called the ‘The FFScout Charity Shield‘ and we’re also using this opportunity to try and raise money for the NHS.

We usually offer Amazon vouchers to those finishing in the podium places of our Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Scout Members leagues, and that remains the case in this stop-start season.

For ‘The FFScout Charity Shield’, we at Fantasy Football Scout are pledging the cash equivalent – £300 – to NHS Charities Together.

The selfless work that our National Health Service key workers carry out on a daily basis has been brought into sharp focus over the last three months.

We’re honoured to be donating money to such a worthwhile cause and we’re inviting you to do the same via our JustGiving page.

We should stress that a donation is not mandatory and anyone can enter ‘The FFScout Charity Shield’ whether they are able to make a financial contribution or not; we fully appreciate that these are tough, unprecedented times and some of you will perhaps not be in a position to do so.

If you are able to spare a bob or two, however, then you can do so by clicking on the below link.

Many thanks to anyone who donates to the fund and good luck for the rest of the season.

People keep posting their FH teams worrying about how they look. Given the shortage of DGW players they all look practically the same. City look like the only team that could get decent points the rest are not so good. Single GW players could easily score as much as the other 3 DGW teams. Arsenal, S UTD and AV are not great teams.

This is my current team (stupidly wild added gw28 what was supposed tkk ok be a dgw):
    Pope (Krul)
Taa Awb Doherty - Egan Taylor
    Salah Kdb Bruno Doucure -Saka
    Auba Jota Dcl

What would you guys do with FH and BB available?
    1) FH this week and get back to this team for GW31

    2) Finetune the current team and get smth like this for BB in GW30 (10DGW):
    Leno-Reina
    TAA-Egan-O'connell-Lascelles-Seiss
    Mahrez-KDB-Grealish-Saka-Bruno
    Auba-Kun-Jota

B is a solid pick but A is more explosive I feel. Don't know which one to go for.

5 subs is a benefit I think with city for FPL, at least your chosen assets have greater chance of game time and they can all score in 20mins of pitch time,

Surely Grealish is a better pick than DCL for the run-in? Talisman, everything goes through him and they will be fighting for their lives until the final game.

When I asked yesterday DCL was chosen unanimously. Am I missing something?

Lets see how they both perform after the restart. Right now I would say Grealish but DCL has been on fire since Ancelotti took over.

People who have all their chips intact & are playing their BB in GW 30 & WC in GW 31, will have a hard time with the rest of the season, purely looking at the fixtures.

When you have unlimited transfers for GW 30, that sounds worse.

GW32 is the problem I've encountered, so I'm using FH then.

Yip. Seems smarter to hold onto the WC a few GWs longer to see lineups settling a bit. And BB could be better used later too, some playing fodder could emerge.

      1. jason_ni
        • 8 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

Dont really agree on the wc one.. wait a few more weeks to see lineups? Its gw30, there are only 8 gws left. Longer you leave it, less time to take advantage of the remaining game weeks, that's my take anyways.
The lineups are gonna be screwed up for the remainder of the season, dont need to wait to see that will be the case.

        1. GreennRed
          • 12 Years
          3 years, 9 months ago

Lineups should settle down a bit even if we have only 7 or 8 nailed on per team. Just gonna use the unlimited transfers to have prob 6 doublers, plenty of fodder and try and have a 12 for a few GWs, TC Aguero. BB is gone so no definite plan for WC and FH.

    Henderson
    TAA Egan O'Connell Targett
    KdB Pepe Grealish Mcginn
    Auba(c) Kun

    Ederson Soy Barnes Nketiah

    0.2 itb

Pukki the best option in here? 6.6m budget, unless you think I should rejig the team:

    Leno Reina
    TAA Laporte Lascelles Stevens Egan
    Mane KDB Grealish HBarnes Saka
    Aguero Jimenez ___

BB now, WC FH still available. Loathe to lose Mane with the diff I’d have to pay to buy back, even for Auba...

Pukki? Hmmm. That wouldn’t be great. What would you suggest? I could drop Mane to 7.5 (but lose a lot of value) and get Auba in. Or Nketiah 3rd striker and upgrade Saka. Or a similarly priced Pukki alternative

I like the team a lot. It's similar to my set up. If you have a lot of money tied up in mane and want him back dont waste it, he just ties up alot of the funds this week for me.

worth taking into account Saka's contract situation? I'm assuming he doesn't really want to play left back long term, and depending on Lacazette there is kind of an opening at LW for him...if Arteta doesn't play him and then he refuses to sign, it won't look good - does he almost have to play him there to keep Saka/fans on side?

What's the story with LB for Arsenal notlw that Tierney is back after injury? Bith getting gametime in friendlies.

yeah, back and looks good in training vids/played in friendlies - in my mind he is firmly first-choice LB, but obviously depends on fitness whether he starts two back-to-back, they definitely have a few options to rotate the whole back 4

Where else can Saka play, Aubameyang left in a front three rules that out?

that's why I mentioned Lacazette, I don't see it being unlikely that Auba just goes central (he is in contract talks too and I'm assuming he would rather be the no9)

Given how he's played so far, he makes Arsenal's best XI.

Not that it's that hard anyway.

I'm fairly sure it will be more about how much he's earning than where he's playing.

He's been placed in more advanced positions in friendlies.

LB for Arsenal or a winger for Man City, I know what I'd rather be

Anyone with the wildcard left not bench boosting this week? Currently underwhelmed looking at my GW30+ bench of Leno, Cantwell, Aarons & Saiss. Questioning whether I should hold the bench boost for after I have wildcarded and observed the form of players. Thoughts?

I’m also kinda tempted ... I just don’t know when else I’d use it. And having wildcard in my eyes enables you to revert and take some money off the bench and back into your squad after using BB

I'm FHing instead and saving the WC. I like my current team too much to rip it apart, so I'm happy for it to return in 31 after the FH.

"I'm FHing instead and saving the WC"

Just so I'm clear, cos I might be wrong...

The wildcard you're saving is your actual wildcard, yes?
We've all got unlimited transfers for this gameweek - it's not a wildcard.

It's just the way you phrased that suggests you think everyone is using a WC this week.

There is so much to read and recap on now Restart is happening. Apologies if this has already been discussed already....

There is just a couple of things that i am struggling to fully understand and I'd appreciate some assistance.

1.What is the likelihood of future double gameweeks given to condensed fixures and the F. A Cup..
    2. .and am I correct to understand there are no champions league fixtures that are likely interfere with Project Restart.

thanks, and I wish everyone good health and good luck with this unprecedented end to FPL

To all those loading up on DGW players with unlimited transfers and losing Salah, Mane and TAA are you not concerned about losing 1.0m in value on them to bring them back in gw31 or gw32 on WC

Keeping TAA and working out how to make sure I can afford to get them back using Transfers List View stats.

Yes so I’m likely going to FH this week, saves my TV, use BB later in the season when it feels right and WC 31 or 32

Mount - 2 Assists and 1 goal in 9 matches.

Is he really a good pick at 6.2?

You make it sound like 6.2 is expensive.

Decent pick this week, prefer Fleck this week and Barnes longer term

Up against one of the worst defences in the league this week so worth the punt. I don't really fancy him long term.

C if you fancy a punt, otherwise A. Probably worth seeing if there's any early team news on Wed for Lundy.
