€320,000 in prize pools as FanTeam celebrates Premier League return

As the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait.

Well the long wait for the return of Premier League football is almost over, and FanTeam are going big on marking this joyous occasion.

Europe’s largest daily Fantasy Football provider is guaranteeing a whopping €320,000 in prize pools for the first Gameweek of top-flight English football’s return, with a host of different games to cover the matches running from Wednesday 17th to Monday 22nd June.

The main event will be the €100,000 GPP contest involving the four Premier League games being played on Saturday.

FanTeam are offering a huge €20,000 prize for the winner of the seven-a-side contest. The action will kick off with the Watford vs. Leicester City fixture at 13:30 CET.

For those FPL purists who like to test their skills across a full slate of fixtures, FanTeam have created a €25,000 GPP Premier League Full Round contest.

The event will cover all of Gameweek 30’s matches, with a cool €5K first place prize up for grabs.

The usual single-match games, involving various modes, will be available as well, and FanTeam have also unveiled some great offers to tempt players back into the Premier League action.

There’s a New User Deposit Bonus – deposit €20 and receive a free €20 Ticket to FanTeam‘s 100K Event mentioned above.

And two other offers involve rewards that can be used in FanTeam‘s sportsbook which details all major leagues and has unique features such as the player matchup, where you can select which player will score the most fantasy points.

FanTeam are running both a new user 100% bonus of up to €500 and a Welcome Back Bonus involving a 100% Bonus of up to €200.

It’s going to be a busy time for Fantasy fans now that football is back and raring to go.

With FanTeam, you just might make it a profitable one too.

Literally first time logged in for a couple of months and done transfers. Thoughts on my BB team?

    Hendo (Reina)
    Laporte - Doherty - Egan - O'Connell - Targett
    KDB - Pepe - Grealish - Saka - McCarthy
    Auba - Kun - Abraham

    Cheers!

See where you're coming from. Might get 4 points each from them across the two games just for starts. I would take that.

If you have no second WC is the consensus to play FH to get 11 DGW and just fix your team with FTs until the end of the season?

    I have:

    Pope. Duvravka.
    TAA. Doh. WanBiz. Stevens. Lascelles.
    Salah. KDB. Fernandez. Barnes. Richarlison.
    Jimmy. Jota. DCL.

OK, I think I'm down to two choices:

    A) Ederson, McGinn, Martial (who I have already, 0.2 to lose)
    B) Reina, Mahrez, Mount

    Rest of the team
    Leno ---
    TAA, Stevens, Egan, Basham, Saiss
    KdB, Grealish, --- , ---, Cantwell
    Aguero Auba Jimenez

    What do you think?

Probably difficult to answer this one, but having a shot!

    Henderson / Leno
    TAA / x / x / x / x
    KDB / Mahrez / Grealish / x / x
    Aguero / Jimenez / x

Rest of team would be above, but ignoring that - best of the rest?

    A) Aubameyang, Fleck, Saka, O'Connell, Doherty, Fernandez, Targett
    B) Aubameyang, Fleck, Saka, O'Connell, Alonso, Saiss, Targett
    C) Abraham, Barnes, Saka, Alonso, Doherty, Stevens, O'Connell
    D) Abraham, Barnes, Mount, Alonso, Saiss, Stevens, Lundstram

    E) Aubameyang, Fleck, Saka, O'Connell, Saiss, Fernandez, Targett

Does anyone else think the 5 subs per game might work in favour of some budget defenders?

For example, Brandon Williams has played in 7 out of Man Utd's last 10 PL games, but was substituted after 60+ minutes in 3 of them. With United's favourable fixtures, he looks good for CS points to me.

    1. Rainer
      • 7 Years
      3 years, 9 months ago

      For banking CS’, yes.

The problem being with extra subs comes more freedom for managers and less need to hold onto them just in case. We could see more subbed before 60’ headaches than you could imagine over the next few weeks.

Think it might be the opposite, lots of fringe players/non regulars might come on for a one pointer and block bench points

I'm by no means an expert, but I have a couple of top 10k finishes and am currently around 12k. Here's my thoughts...

If you don't have a second wildcard and your team is a mess for gw31+ onward, then you should use the unlimited transfers to build a team longer term, including dgw30+ players who have strong fixtures in gw31+/32+ etc. (for example, Auba might be a better option than Aguero and Villa assets might be worth leaving alone)

If you don't have a second wildcard but your team is in good shape and you have solid players with good fixtures from gw31+ onward, then you should ignore the unlimited transfers and FH this week

If you have a second wildcard your best option is to use the unlimited transfers to build a team with dgw players in gw30+, with a view to wildcarding in gw31+. The only caveat here is if you have a lot value tied up in single gameweek players like Salah, TAA etc. You may want some of them back further down the line and should consider if you can afford them. To do this, work out the total selling value of your entire 15 man squad, and then build a wc team for gw31+ based on this value.

I'm thinking of going for a Sako/Cantwell rotation combo for my 4th midfield position. At a total cost of 9.4, they offer this fixture run:

bbgw30+ (mci+bha/SOU) followed by (sou, NOR, BHA, wat, WHU, *che*, avl, WAT)

Any suggestions to improve this BB Team chaps? 0.6M spare.

    Henderson*
    O'Connell*, Baldock*, Walker*, TAA
    KDB*, Grealish*, Luiz*, Salah
    Aguero*, Aubameyang*

    McCarthy, Saka*, Ings, Ward

Don't have WC left so settling with 2 Villa and 2 Arsenal and will likely FH next week.

    Cheers

Cheers. Would you prefer Ings & Saiss or Abraham & Ward?

Leaning towards Aubameyang due to his poor record away from home & against big sides, thoughts?

        Not so sure.

Everton under Ancellotti are defensive numpties and home away advantage is negated. Also less than certain that anyone much will see 180 minutes in a week 1 DGW with no effective preseason

I’ve done 99 drafts with Auba, currently on 100th with Sterling and liking it
