FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

The third round of our FFS Cup was played out in Gameweek 31+ and now just 64 Fantasy managers remain in contention.

There’s no respite for those involved as the fourth round takes place in Gameweek 32+, the deadline for which is at 11.30am BST on Saturday.

ALL RESULTS FROM THE THIRD ROUND CAN BE VIEWED HERE
THE FULL DRAW FOR THE FOURTH ROUND IS AVAILABLE TO VIEW HERE

Wild Rover is still flying the flag for our former winners, having seen off Euroalien – who had been inside the top 1k as of the Gameweek 31+ deadline – in the round-of-128.

It wasn’t a great week for managers lurking inside the top 1,000, with rdamjan and Forza, currently ranked at 30th and 643rd respectively, also exiting the competition.

billybly is our highest-ranked FPL boss left in the cup, with his score of 105 easily good enough to see off sirakhun and sufficient to move him up to 660th in the world.

Having scored 141 points in Gameweek 30+, stamfordbridge bowed out in unfortunate circumstances after a 60-60 draw with __simdy; the latter’s superior rank seeing them through to a last-64 tie with the aforementioned billybly.

Annie also lost out on a tie-breaker after a 78-all draw with Mighty Wings.

baingaboyz was arguably even more luckless, being edged out by two points despite racking up a triple-figure score of 103.

We’ve got an all-top 2k clash in the round-of-64, with Hellraisers facing Dial Square.

Every single one of our remaining 64 managers is ranked inside the top 300,000.

HOW DO THE CUP COMPETITIONS WORK?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round were randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a draw, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

WHAT IS THE GAMEWEEK SCHEDULE?

The FFS Cup competition will be played out according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule:

Fantasy Football Scout Cup Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 28

Round 1 – Gameweek 29
Round 2 – Gameweek 30+
Round 3 – Gameweek 31+
Round 4 – Gameweek 32+
Round 5 – Gameweek 33+
Round 6 – Gameweek 34+
Quarter-Final – Gameweek 35+
Semi-Finals – Gameweek 36+
Final and third-place play-off – Gameweek 37+

WHEN ARE THE FIXTURES RELEASED?

Where possible, the fixture list for each round will be published before each Gameweek deadline.

Just saw Mane only had 1 shot in the first 2 games, and considering they have City and then he will probably be benched in one of the next 2 maybe Pulisic can match him? He seems hungry for goals.

35 Kane v Arsenal, or maybe any pen taker v us, we still have to play Jimenez, Vardy etc

Son seems a bit overlooked as captain choice, SHU are struggling after the break and have already played one game more than Spurs. Also Spurs are now enjoying a 9-day rest until the game while Sheffield have to play in the FA Cup vs Arsenal tomorrow.
    Thoughts?

One game more played might be actually working in their favour after such long break, but on a whole I do agree that Son is as good captain this week as others - only worry Spurs looked really average against WHU.

    Martinez (Pope)
    TAA Aurier Lascelles (Holgate, Robinson)
    KDB Martial Bruno Saka (Foden)
    Kane Jimi Rashford

    A) G2G

I have done a bit of analysis on how many goals Brighton concede at home. Obviously you have to take this with a pinch of salt without fans but for any people considering to captain Rashford it is food for thought.....

Considering the 14 home games Brighton have played:

    - They have only conceded 2 goals in 4 of the games (28% of the games) - those teams were Southampton, Everton, Leicester and Wolves (none of the top 6!)

    - They have only conceded 1 goal in 8 of the games (57% of the games)

    - They have kept a clean sheet in 3 of the games (21% of the games)

So the chances of them actually conceding is high but according to these stats it is likely to be the only goal. Interestingly, they close off the big 6 at home better than we may think.

Good post, obviously the impact of no fans and man utds upturn in form can make a difference.

I look at rashfords stats away to help me make my mind up:
      12 starts
      4 goals
      3 assists
      1 haul

I think Brighton have overachieved and United the opposite so far. United are, let's be fair, much better than Brighton and could really find them out. I noticed Brighton were really feeling the physical side in second half v Leicester too, Dale Stephens (I know no-one has him, but he's important to them, and actually h's suspended isn't he?) was blowing out of his backside big time.

I thought they were tird, second half they were defending almost the whole time! And zero goal threat (first half a bit better, admittedly).

United could well drill them, but if not I'd personally budget on two goal minimum.
