Last chance to get FFScout Premium Membership for pre-season price

Fantasy Football Scout Premium Memberships for the 2020/21 season are still available at the pre-season cost of £17.50 – but time is running out on this offer.

Subscriptions will rise to the regular season price of £19.99 after August 31 so, if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up before that point in order to secure the best-value rate.

The yearly fee of £17.50 works out at an equivalent of less than £1.50 a month as, instead of expiring on June 1 as was previously the case, these rolling annual subscriptions now cover a full 12-month period.

That’s better value than our rivals are offering for the equivalent all-access Premium Membership package.

SIGN UP FOR THE NEW SEASON HERE

If you prefer to dip your toe into the water rather than plunge right in, however, we are offering rolling monthly subscriptions for just £2.99 per month.

We’re continuing to reinvest resources into the site, building a team of talented contributors for the new season (from all of our Career Hall of Fame top three to the returning Mark Sutherns) and working on an exciting new design for the Premium Members Area, complete with new tools and features.

We’re also dishing out £2,500-worth of prizes in the 2020/21 campaign – more details of that available here.

Our video below runs down just some of the benefits that subscribers will enjoy in 2020/21 and previews what you can expect the Premium Members Area to look like after its makeover:

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?

Well, you’ll be joining legions of other Fantasy managers by signing up, including former Fantasy Premier League winners Adam Levy, Simon March and Tom Fenley.

Thousands upon thousands of FPL bosses take advantage of our subscriptions and sign up every year, using the stats and tools to aid their Gameweek planning.

PRO PUNDIT ARTICLES

You’ll get exclusive content from some of the best Fantasy managers in the business, including Hall of Fame top three Fábio Borges, Stephen Harrap and Darren Wiles, ex-champion Simon March, five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman, three-time top 200 finisher Lateriser and six-time top 5k finisher Zophar.

If that wasn’t enough, Fantasy Football Scout’s founding father, Mark Sutherns, is returning to the site to supply articles and video appearances throughout the season. Again, only Premium Members will get unrestricted access to Mark’s content.

RATE MY TEAM AND PROJECTIONS

Our Projections and Rate My Team tools are both live for the new season, so you can head over there now to start building your teams ahead of 2020/21 and see how many points our algorithm thinks you’ll score.

These features were both refined last year, with RMT’s Professor – aka Chris Atkinson – elaborating on the changes in a Hot Topic.

SEASON TICKER

Also live for the new season is our Season Ticker.

Premium Members can sort by fixture difficulty and find out which teams’ matches rotate well.

Disagree with the Fantasy Football Scout difficulty ratings? Add you own to customise your experience.

FLAT-TRACK BULLY TOOL

Our Flat-Track Bully tool was a new addition last season, with subscribers now able to identify Fantasy assets with good records against specific clubs.

This will help you pinpoint players who perhaps perform better against weaker opposition and even those who thrive against the top teams, like Raúl Jiménez famously did in 2018/19.

HEAD-TO-HEAD COMPARISONS

Compare both teams and players head to head, with over 100 key statistics to study side by side.

PLAYER AND TEAM STATS

There are hundreds upon hundreds of player and team statistics available, which can help guide your Fantasy transfer decisions.

MATCH ANALYSIS

Analysis of every Premier League match (going back to 2011/12!), together with charts which plot average positions and our collection of heatmaps for touches, shots and chances created, among other statistics.

CUSTOM STATS TABLES

Premium Members can also create custom tables based on the data available and share them with other subscribers.

Perhaps the most famous of these is Joe’s Goals Imminent table, which looks to predict which underperforming assets will find the net next.

TESTIMONIES

2018/19 Fantasy Premier League champion Adam Levy was a paid-up Premium Member of our site and he discussed what tools of ours he finds most useful in an interview after his triumph.

In previous seasons we’ve helped FPL winners Tom Fenley and Simon March, while in 2015/16 we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of that year’s Members’ League – finish third in the overall rankings.

In 2017/18, Paul Gee went one better. He won our Members’ League and finished second, losing out to champion Yusuf Sheikh by just eight points.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a Premium Member here. A full FAQ on our Premium Members’ Area is also available here.

If you’ve any feedback or suggestions of content that you’d like to see added to the Premium Members’ Area, then please feel free to drop us a line at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Your wrong that he is attacking. With the front 4 Southampton attack with their fullbacks are not required to get in offensive positions.

Why not go for the double up. It’s worth a gamble I think.
I like this draft a lot - all 15 are players I am considering.
This best bit about it is the 4 - mids plus 8.0 mids this could work this year. It allows you to move to Greenwood Pulisic and maybe Havertz - just some examples or if you save .5 on Auba after a week or 2 you can get to Rashford.
      Why Johnson over say Mitchell?

Even though Alli is a risk, I like it. Mourinho raved about him as a second striker when he first arrived and he certainly has potential to score well. Not keen on ASM and I rather soucek, .5 extra you reinvest in defence

Form over fixtures haha...nah, i just think he's a better fpl assest. For my team, he'll rotate with mitro or a Def. Could be good to wait to pick him up cheaper in a few gws and maybe his price will drop?

With big names likely to join the prem that are not yet official ie. Messi, Sancho, Havertz... Current FPL teams could change 3/4 players.
Something to think about for those considering their teams as GTG.

Possibly to start the season yes. But long term I intend have a defence like this.
VVD to a 4.5 defender allows me to turn one of the 5.5 mids into Greenwood and bench him for GW 1 . Then I would also need to change Taylor out as he blanks.

I wouldn’t be spreading the cash that thin.
I don’t know what formation this will be. Narrow it down to one or 2 possible formations and create one more fodder bench player while upgrading another, you very rarely need to get 2 or 3 off the bench.

I’m confused, why so much love for spurs attack? Ok they have good fixtures, but City, United, Liverpool and Chelsea will all line to score tons of goals while Spurs will go for 1-0 maybe 2. Why are Kane and Son I’m so many teams? Just placeholders?

      I have Davies currently.
      That extra mil helps.
Look at it this way for example: (not that I want to double up on Spurs defence)
      Instead Doherty + 4.0

    Case for Dele Alli

Just hear me out before you come out with your pitchforks just because he's not a Son or Kane

Last season he was involved in 14 goals in 21 starts (8g 6a). Not bad at all

I believe he's primed for a good season under Jose now that he has put the injury woes aside and having good preseason behind his back

Not to forget he's a Mourinho favorite and will play just behind Kane. Personally think he's gonna thrive in spurs great run of fixtures

Its not the end of the world if the punt fails due to good price point You can easily downgrade to Greenwood or jump on Ziyech if he settles in Chelsea
    nicely

Interesting you say this.. I had Ziyech in my team and I've just changed him for Ali- good price point at 9m- and I'm only looking to keep for one week then I'll move him on for GW2 (for most likely greenwood)

Was previously on Ziyech but i think he will take a little while to settle in. Sprayed some fantastic passes versus Brighton yesterday but i think id start with Werner only

Feel like Pulisic will be big miss for opening two games..when he returns we;'ll see much better chelsea attack

If he can get close to 150-160 season points then 8.0m is good price but just not sure he can stay healthy for a season.
not the worst idea to start with him and see how he goes

If you watched the games last season under Mourinho. Dele Alli at times was literally the Striker with Kane dropping back often. If starting regularly i see him offering better value than Son.

Arsenal Fans.. what's your opinion on Martinez starting? Think he'll keep his spot through the season? From an outsiders standpoint after that performance in the community shield surely he's gotta nail down his spot after that.. could be the buy of the season at 4.5 and that tighter looking arsenal defence

How does this look? The plan is to play 5-3-2 and 4-4-2. I think Antonio's first 5 fixtures aren't as bad as they look, but considering moving to Mitrovic. Auba will most likely become KDB after the first 2 rounds.

    Johnstone
    Doherty, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Lascelles, Walker-Peters
    Salah, Aubameyang, Saka
    Antonio, Werner
Button- Greenwood - Davis - Bissouma

    b) Ziyech + Jimi + 2m to upgrade def/mid

    Team currently:
    McCarthy
    TAA Vinagre Egan
    Auba Mane Son* ASM Soucek

Sure. It's possible. I've gone on Ings over Jimi at this stage, based on opening fixtures. Not possible to have all three!

No, no. I meant frontline of Werner, Ings and Jimenez by dropping Son to 4.5m player.

Agreeably, he's not a standout pick. He just seems the best option in that price range. I fancy him to get more points than ASM, Armstrong, jwp etc. I'll have him as rotating 3rd striker, so hopefully he'll be okay. I do have reservations though as he seems slow as an ox

All about price points and team 'efficiency' apparently, and justified by talismen status.

130 points is miserable for a 0.6. If he doesn't hit the ground running he'll be dropped like a stone and those precious transfers will have to be used drafting in exciting players like Chris Wood, who go whole half seasons without scoring. Mitro plays for Fulham, they play possession football, they're awful to watch, it's not going to work, and it's going to be miserable to watch happen

Best case scenario for me is that he proves to be acceptable. Not for me when there are far less risky players in the mid priced bracket

      1. Andy_Social
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 7 months ago

I'd rather go with Wood even with him sitting out GW1. If, as you suggest, he doesn't fire, it's easier to switch to another mid-price striker costing between 6-7m than it is to upgrade a 6m who's falling in price.

        1. Pacer.
          • 9 Years
          3 years, 7 months ago

It's easier to just start with mid price strikers and have the option of sideways or dropping down than to start with budget and be forced into sideways, taking hits or waiting for transfers to accrue so you can then release value from another player (another headache) to step up

A few people have mentioned it's about efficiency. It doesn't seem like an efficient starting strategy

Think your calculator is broken mate 🙂
130 is not miserable from 6 mil forward.
Let me remind you - last season
        Just few forwards
        Firmino 9.5 155
        Abraham 7.5 153
        Jesus 9.5 146
Goalies were good value for that money but you can have only one.
Few decent defenders and midfielders but no forwards...Ayew for 132 I think and he is also 6 now.

        1. Pacer.
          • 9 Years

Why are you comparing him to poor value players, players who dried up or players who are bit part players

Analysing whole seasons is not going to provide any meaningful data in their cases and nobody in their right mind is considering owning firmino or Abraham this year

Why aren't you comparing him to actual options like ings, martial or jiminez

Indeed. And that's what's at the heart of it for me. Beyond a couple of essential captain options, MF offers the worst value of all at the top end of the point scoring scale. I think going with a budget upfront to fund additional mids is a mistake this year that people have been fooled into because of reclassification and the glut of options.

Unless you're freeing up money for VdV or potentially Doherty or a City defender, in which case, I think that's a good move

Doherty is in as second Premium Defender yeah ..
                But he's expendable ...

I really like Adams & Wood Actually. Not sure about Mitro though.

You're right in saying catching their form runs is pain in the ass

I'm very interested in Adams if Southampton did go to a two up front, but it would likely mean owning two saints strikers, or not owning ings. And I'm not sure I can stomach either. Ings just hasn't stopped for a year. Was the first name on my squad

I don't know about you guys, but does it not seem madness players being allowed to travel abroad on holidays?
The strict protocols put in place so we could see football again, is about to be wasted.
The disruption of training and self isolation of players will have an impact on form, and more seriously can result in postponements.
I am at a total loss on why all the hard work has been wasted.

Me too, and I think the way to mitigate against that is to maintain a full active bench. If Brewster gets a loan that solves one bench asset, if a 4m defender can get him self nailed, that would be great. But if neither happen, I'll try to park a trio of 4.5s who are regular starters. There's even a case for Ryan/Button as security although I won't go that far.

How sensible is it to have a team that doesn’t include much in the way of bench fodder, so you have the flexibility to swap players in and out rather than be tempted to join the transfer bandwagon and lose points with hits, which is what I tend to do? So think of this as more of a set and forget lineup:

    McCarthy/Ryan
    TAA/Laport/Vinagre/Egan (Mitchell)
    Soucek/Son/Ziyech (Foden/Greenwood)
    Ings/Vardy /Werner

Is the lineup sensible or should I go for more recognised big hitters and fodder?
