Fantasy Football Scout to partner with Football Index for the 2020/21 season

Sponsored by Football Index

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce that we’ll be joining forces with Football Index in the upcoming season.

We’ll be producing weekly articles throughout 2020/21, while there will also be regular segments on our Scoutcast and plenty more coverage besides.

If you’re new to Football Index, think of it as a revolutionary betting platform that works a bit like a virtual stock market.

Similar to player prices in Fantasy Premier League, the aim is to bet on the future value of the players when the price is low and then sell on when the value is high – the key difference here being that traders can profit from their ability to spot a bargain who is about to hit the big-time.

Fantasy managers can use their expertise to anticipate the on-field success of their assets in question, with dividends awarded for goals, clean sheets, assists and a whole host of underlying stats, from shots on target and accurate crosses to aerial duels won and tackles.

This is where the data in our Premium Members Area can really come into its own and give Fantasy Football Scout subscribers the heads up on which players could prosper on match days.

But that’s not all: along the way, traders win media dividends for positive headlines written about their players, so it’s worth keeping an eye on off-the-field events as well.

Like all betting platforms, the rules are fairly straightforward, and the nuances become more familiar with time.

We’ll be back over the weekend with a more detailed guide on how to play Football Index but head over to their website now for more information and tips on how to turn Fantasy prowess into a successful portfolio.

And don’t forget: this is trading with real money, so always gamble responsibly.

he can be gold but until now, not sure about his latest update

if he's fitted to start against FUL, interested to go with that route and WHU, doubling up with Auba

What do you think of this team
    McCarthy, nyland

Nyland to Button, AVL has 4 GK now, hard to pick the right 2nd keeper

Drop Justin cause LEI's defense outlook is bleak,
Drop van de beek, KDB, avoid corona threat and consider Son, Doherty, Havertz if feasible

Ziyech still doubtful, if Havertz in, he's probably the better pick as long as he's 8.5 or below

Son-Kane is too brave to start (or probably too much), Son-Doherty might be a balanced pick or Son-Alli if you favor the attacker

is Eze really a good pick ? Maybe Zaha is a better and proven asset if you want to go with CRY ?

Mitro is poor, it's better to play 5-4-1 with Doherty but if you drop Salah, your team will be better with 4-4-2

no way im going to drop salah. Greenwood playing in gw2 so I assume it's safe to play?

Then who is 4.5m def other than justin? I'm not going with double southampton.

Also double Spurs defence doherty + Dier? really?

        2. Nightrain_
          • 7 Years
          3 years, 7 months ago

Why not dropping Salah ? he's expensive and out of form, but if he got the form, you can put him in again in GW4. In the first three, not easy for him to score especially away

if you want to double def Spurs, i'll pick Lloris (no CS can get you save points) and Doherty (no CS can get you goal/assist)

Greenwood is still a doubt cause Sancho talks still in play and covid threat. No one is guaranteed fit now. Traore, Soucek, Neymar, etc, they all got the virus

Without Salah and Greenwood, you don't need to force yourself with 4.5, you can go Doherty and Robbo

GW2, if everybody fit, i think it's best to start trying United with Martial at home against CRY

Overthe last two seasons James Rodriguez has registered just 4 assists, but you have to remember he was only playing alongside Benzema and Lewandowski.
I'd expect to see those numbers improve once he starts playing with Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison....

In a few different minds here.
    1. Robbo, Adams + a 4.5m striker (fodder).
    2. 4.5m def + Adams + DCL (really fancy him now).
    3. 4.5m def + Ings + 4.5m striker.

    Ryan.
    TAA, Vinagre, KWP, 4.0m, _______.
    Auba, Son, Foden, Salah, 4.5m.
    ______, Werner, _______.
    11.5m left to spend.

We don’t know if Adams will be nailed, and whether Brewster goes on loan to Premier League club or not....if you expect both of these to happen, then nro.1. But nro.3 with Taylor looks good as well in all scenarios.

I expect Adams to be a starter and do really well.
Ings allows more flexibility if making a switch after a few gw's though- Martial/ Rich/Jimenez even Aguero. He is on pens too but is he going to be worth 2.5m over Adams- not sure.

I do think DCL will do very well complicating matters more.
I think that Brewster stays where he is @ Liv. Also- I have no issues with a 4.5m fodder 3rd striker anyway.

If you look at the numbers for the last season, per game numbers were: Alli xG 0,3 xA 0,1 vs. Son xG 0,3 xA 0,1....Son of course did better in reality, and played more.

Hello peeps. My proposed team for opening 2 gameweeks before wildcarding in gameweek 2 ready for gameweek 3 and beyond. What do you all think?
    Matt Ryan (GK)
    Robertson, Soyuncu, Justin, Tierney
Saint Maximin, Aubameyang (C), Willian, Son
    Ings, Vardy

    Subs: Button, Pereira, Bamford, Dallas

But it's a good chance to accumulate some team value. Bound to be some early season hitters in form that I don't have that everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

What do you think to me starting Vardy instead of Werner, and doubling up on Leicester defence and doubling up on Aubameyang and Willian?

        1. Nightrain_
          • 7 Years
          3 years, 7 months ago

agree that early WC is good for TV but GW2 for me is too early cause probability is you only need 1 FT to grab Martial or Bruno. I think the best time and earliest is the first IB around GW5

For me, Werner all the way and not Vardy, he's too expensive and probably no Maddison to supply him. If they gonna get goal, will be from the unlikely players like Barnes or Perez

          1. jopabemu
            • 3 Years
            3 years, 7 months ago

Thanks Nighttrain. I think you could be right about Vardy (also thinking it could be risky to go with leicester defence with their poor end to the season). Tomorrow's friendly against blackburn will tell us a lot. I was put off by Werner based on the liverpool gameweek 2 fixture but I think his form last season in Bundesliga is too good to ignore. I'm leaning towards this now with 0.5 mil in the bank:
            Ryan
            Robertson, Vinagre, Tierney
            Saint-Maximin, Aubameyang (C), Willian, Son
            Werner, Ings, Antonio

            Subs: Button, Pereira, Justin, Dallas

            What do you think?

            1. Nightrain_
              • 7 Years
              3 years, 7 months ago

Yes, would love to see tomorrow but i'm quite convinced Leicester defense will be bleak. Justin for me is a no go

Werner can score against anybody and I'm predicting Liv - Che probably end up 1-1 and could be Werner's their goalscorer

I like Willian too, but i'm not sure about his condition now, maybe last minute will tell. I'm prepare to switch to Havertz or Ziyech.

Triple ARS is too much I guess, so maybe try tinkering with TAA/Robbo/Doherty and drop Antonio cause GW2-4 will probably be tough for him

So every 4.0 keeper is now risky
    Every 4.0 defender roughly
4.5 forwards are ruled out if Brewster stays
And nailed 4.5 mids are all defensive minded.
Along with quarantine stuff much to ponder

Thanks. A straight swap from Vardy to Werner when the time comes. I guess he won't explode vs. Brighton away and Liverpool next.
        thanks for the bissouma tip.

I’ve been asked to join a draft league. Never done it before, if I don’t make a watch list will my team just pick itself based on the standard priority of rank?

May as well leave it as it ?

Yeah - the priority rank isn’t too bad but can’t remember if it has new additions in appropriate places (e.g. Werner high up)

Would want to look 'n' see first. Could be many happy to jump off Mitro and Adams if he does look sharp.

Would you double up with Soucek(4th mid) and Antonio?
If not, which one would you pick?

Can stretch 4th mid to upto 5.5m.

West Ham have decent fixtures in the first two.

    Thanks.

Have Antonio currently. No Soucek. Will jump on the Soucek wagon if there is one.

He should miss GW1 due to quarantine.
GW2 on fixtures are horrible. Take your time!

Definitely no, especially with Soucek in quarantine, and the next three after NEW is bad for attackers. Last season, they only manage 3 goals on that 6 fixtures

If you really want WHU, make decision on last minute's presser to see if Soucek is fit. He's cheap and good for that price

    352 w/ Ziyech or
    343 w/ Ings

(difference in 0.5 is made up by the bench)
