Fantasy Football Scout to partner with Football Index for the 2020/21 season

Sponsored by Football Index

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce that we’ll be joining forces with Football Index in the upcoming season.

We’ll be producing weekly articles throughout 2020/21, while there will also be regular segments on our Scoutcast and plenty more coverage besides.

If you’re new to Football Index, think of it as a revolutionary betting platform that works a bit like a virtual stock market.

Similar to player prices in Fantasy Premier League, the aim is to bet on the future value of the players when the price is low and then sell on when the value is high – the key difference here being that traders can profit from their ability to spot a bargain who is about to hit the big-time.

Fantasy managers can use their expertise to anticipate the on-field success of their assets in question, with dividends awarded for goals, clean sheets, assists and a whole host of underlying stats, from shots on target and accurate crosses to aerial duels won and tackles.

This is where the data in our Premium Members Area can really come into its own and give Fantasy Football Scout subscribers the heads up on which players could prosper on match days.

But that’s not all: along the way, traders win media dividends for positive headlines written about their players, so it’s worth keeping an eye on off-the-field events as well.

Like all betting platforms, the rules are fairly straightforward, and the nuances become more familiar with time.

We’ll be back over the weekend with a more detailed guide on how to play Football Index but head over to their website now for more information and tips on how to turn Fantasy prowess into a successful portfolio.

And don’t forget: this is trading with real money, so always gamble responsibly.

Saliba, Pereira, Saka and Eze all too punty for me.

I'd personally just keep Saka and look at other options for the remaining 3.

    Morning

Anyone considering Dallas or Ayling for one of your rotating 4.5 defs? (Obviously not for GW1).

    Whats peoples thoughts on Foden?
Value at 6.5, but wont be starting week in week out, means i could put McNeil in at 6.0 and save 0.5.
    Thoughts?

Needs a solid couple of bench options but could provide immense value. He’s in my GW2 WC

          McCarthy 4.0
          TAA Laporte Boly Vinagre 4.0
          KDB Bruno Greenwood Foden Soucek
          Werner Martial 4.5

          Something like that

Literally nearly identical to mine, but I’m rotating captaincy between KDB and martial.

Ive got Armstrong over greenwood and then use the spare 3m on upgrading bolt and vinagre to Robertson and Doherty.

I’m not BBing GW1 anymore, couldn’t get happy with my team unfortunately. Did it last year though and it was great fun, best of luck!

If he starts every other game then he'll be a bargain. Just make sure you have a decent sub.

Thanks both of you, im more thinking of him coming on for 1pt cameos, making ym sub redundant. Where as constant games by McNeil could prove more.
I agree is worth it, but those cameos would be soooooooooo frustrating, plus B Silva seems to be the one to replace D Silva more

At the end of the season I would expect Foden to outscore McNeil and by some too.

McNeil was ok before injury, was out for a long time too and still had good points, granted 16 of those were clean sheets
But for 0.5 more i think youre right, the problem is me now having a good sub just in case haha

Well at least the three subs rule has been maintained, so it lessens (slightly) the chance of a cameo. Very much on the list of possibles. I like McNeil too - could be an excellent choice after GW2

My current plan is to get him in in GW3.

His price rise will probably foil my plan, but that's my plan.

I think that he will get a lot more minutes this term.

Anyone thinking Chelsea might struggle away to Brighton?

I just don’t know who’s actually going to make it on the pitch - lamps has to bring some of the players in slowly

Brighton love to play out from the back and with Chelsea's high press, I can see them scoring 2 or 3.

I don't think so and on the contrary, Brighton might be in trouble to handle Chelsea attack

Last season, Chelsea manage to score 10 goals in their last 5 away games so they have average of 2 goals. I think Chelsea gonna win 2-0

            This.

Arteta specifically said that Martinez played the CS because he gave the Arsenal the FA Cup.

As good as Martinez has been, people have forgotten how good Leno was.

I'm not saying Martinez won't start in the prem. They will share the 4 competitions, though.

Leno should be ahead, better pick another GK cause you probably have non-playing GK as backup

Avoid Leno/Martinez unless concrete news is given - not worth the risk and plenty of other nailed keepers to choose from.

I'm thinking about having both Leno AND Martinez. Arsenal defense has improved but not too strong. That means save points as well. I can downgrade Martinez once Leno starts games.

I think part of the problem is that a lot of people can't see past the first game week.

If Leeds had Fulham at home in GW1 instead of GW2, he'd be more highly picked.

Football Index has been relatively easy to make money from so far because volumes have been increasing rapidly. As long as volumes keep going up quickly then a sizeable minority will make a profit (even if small like 5%) and most will only lose a little money at worst. But as soon as volumes start to increase at a lower rate, that is when it will become hard to profit.

      • 6 Years

I think it’s important to highlight that it’s a gambling tool.

“Making money” from it means someone loses.

All these big boys on Twitter showing off ££££ means other people have lost ££££.

      1. diesel001
        • 7 Years
        3 years, 6 months ago

It is gambling. But it isn't traditional gambling where you put a stake down, if it comes in you get your profit and stake back and if it doesn't come in you lose your stake.

The difference, IMO, is that, early on, it is a little like a pyramid scheme. The early adopters would have made a good returns because they got in with low stakes and as volumes (numbers) went up, everything went up so they were making money regardless (even after commissions / spread). Those early adopters were basically making money from the sheer amount of new money being poured into the market (and we may be in the early adoption stage now if volumes are rising rapidly, but I don't know)

As those volumes stop growing as rapidly it becomes harder to make money as then you are basically in the close-to-zero-sum game where if you win, someone loses because it becomes about the trade rather than just more money being poured into the market.

        1. Marmalade Forest
          • 6 Years

It is a zero sum game.
Less even once FI take their commission.
