bet365 to be Fantasy Football Scout’s official sportsbook partner

We’ll again be combining Fantasy Football with a flutter in 2020/21 but this season we will be doing so in the company of our friends at bet365.

We are pleased to announce that bet365 will be our official sportsbook partner in the campaign to come, so expect to see regular articles covering the latest odds and special offers from the world’s favourite online sports betting company.

Each week we will be trying to harness our Fantasy know-how and the data in our Premium Members Area to pick out a few punts ahead of the upcoming action, to see if we can get one over on the bookies.

From baseball to trotting (us neither), bet365 offer a whole host of betting opportunities for those in the mood for a sensible flutter.

It’s good old association football that we’ll be focusing on in 2020/21, however, with the bread and butter of the Premier League our primary focus.

From first goalscorers to total corners, we’ll be seeing if we can pick out some value bets in the run-up to the weekend’s action.

We’ll be back with our first selection ahead of Gameweek 1 but, in the meantime, head on over to the bet365 site to check out the latest odds on the UEFA Nations League, the Premier League title race and anything else that takes your fancy.

For all the latest Premier League odds, visit bet365 and build your personalised football bet.

They could definitely do with being spread out a bit. I guess a lot of them are announcements and the frequency of regular articles of this sort will be pretty low now. Not a great look if you visit the site for the first time now though.

I'd prefer to be poisoned a little at a time and hopefully build up an immunity rather than have it all shoved down my throat at once I guess.

I'd rather there were no gambling affiliations but I suspect they're considered a necessary evil for the overall good of the site. Don't know if I agree or not but seems to be where we are.

A lot of links to gambling alternatives over the last few days. The number of money-related articles far outnumber the ones about FPL just recently. Having to pick through it to get to the good content...hope this is just temporary just ahead of the new season...

Wouldn't consider this a new thing, for years there was a Paddy Power partnership and there have often been ties in with daily fantasy sports (Totel Football, Yahoo Daily, Fanduel, etc.)

Not something I like particularly but it's a natural fit and it's probably a big source of income to allow them to develop the site further.

Not saying I like it but it isn't new.

Understand the site needs income, and it seems to me that general opinion in UK is more liberal on gambling then here in Norway, where there are stricter regulations. But I do'nt particularly approve of site articles with aggressive betting marketing. It's kind of one step further from normal advertising links on the side panel.

I'm not a fan either - I don't have a problem with gambling per se and I've placed a few bets over the years myself but I know it can destroy lives so I always cringe a bit when I see these kind of articles. I was only pointing out it's been the case for years.

Yeah, I recognize there have been a bunch of these lately.

There are a few new partnerships and they've all kind of come through at the same time. We'll make sure the balance is better going forward

Yeah, that was a point I made above - scrolling down the recent articles doesn't give the impression you (probably) want to give to a new visitor.

From memory there have always been betting company partnerships and articles promoting gambling money on daily fantasy sports though.

Good to hear, and basically addresses my overall point.

To be brutally honest (hopefully constructive feedback), I treat these articles as rubbish and don't read a word, as I have to make a concerted effort o limit my gambling. I'm a fairly sensible person, but I see an offer on one of those websites (50/1 on harry kane to score first if it's your first time bet) and I get suckered in. I already pay £20 to enter a couple of fantasy leagues at the start of the season, and have made very little profit, even with the expert help of this forum.

These articles are probably not that bad, but I tend to skip past them for this reason. So when there are a few consecutive articles it begins to feel like the actual FPL content is diluted.

not every gambler, ridiculous comment ive gambled since i was 12 ,gives an added interest,i tell you right now i couldnt give a stuff about overall ranking the absolute point of FPL is to beat my mates,£20 over a season ,hardly a reason to jump off the ledge, same with golf and IPL even NFL ,who cares as a neutral who wins ,if youve had a wager it means something ,good on FFS for promoting these type of people ,they are providing rescources for one of the greatest sites on the internet, sure gambling does harm ,but not to the huge majority who use it as a mechanism to increase their sporting interest, let me do my bollocks in peace ,cheers.

That you've been gambling since you were 12 and have to have to gamble to get any enjoyment perhaps proves the point that there shouldn't be advertising for gambling on a site used by kids. Maybe link up with some alcohol and tobacco companies too to get kids enjoying themselves properly at 12?

I can't even access the Sky game since I'm outside of the UK due to gambling advertisement yet anybody can go to Scout?

Guys, need some help please. Need a £5.0 midfielder (I know, it has come to this...)

    McCarthy • Nyland
    TAA • Doherty* • Saiss • Vinagre • Mitchell
    Auba • Son • Ziyech • Bruno Fernandes • 5.0*
    Werner • Mitrovic • Brewster

Originally, had Dier instead of Doherty and the 5.0 midfileder was Armstrong + 0.5 left itb for bandwagons after GW1. I am quite tempted now by the set-and-forget back 3 of TAA • Doherty • Saiss.

Any thoughts on my best bet for the mid? Narrowed it down to Ritchie, Noble, and Norwood. Dire situation...

Soucek is best option i think, seen Ritchie at Newcastle in some drafts also

Soucek was my go to, but with him a risk now for GW1 I can't consider him as I do need the 5.0 to play that first GW

I'm slightly confused at the enthusiasm for Soucek, his fixtures are a nightmare. Unless he's just a bit better bench option than the 4.5s?

Key player for Leicester but not a great FPL asset I don't think. The only thing the 5.0 mids have going on for them is the fact that some of them are on pens, corners, and free kicks. That's why I have narrowed it down to Ritchie, Noble, and Norwood.

The thing is - how long are you realistically going to hold on to your 5.0 choice? Soucek was fine but if he's missing from GW1 then I'll probably switch to a 4.5 and rule out any thoughts of 4-5-1 or 3-5-2 for the time being. Maybe we'll get some clarification next week.

Was really keen on playing 3-5-2 but who knows. May start off with 4-4-2 and change to a 3-5-2 later down the line after I wildcard.

Could drop Doherty to Davies, or Saiss to any 4.5 and you can get Armstrong back.

I 100% would support no new teams being able to be created after the season starts. Or, make the cut off at the first internarional break, in case someone has some legitimate reason for missing the start of the game.
Absolutely ZERO logical or sound reason to allow someone to enter a new team from GW5 onwards

    McCarthy
    TAA - Robbo - Vinagre
    Auba - Saka - JWP - Soucek
    Werner - Vardy - Mitrovic

    Button - Fernandes* - Mitchell - Johnson

How does this look? Soucek is a placeholder, will bring Fernandes off the bench for GW2. Once he's in reckon this is a solid squad with four captaincy options and double Liverpool defence.

Hudson Odoi is a really dodgy pick, don't see him starting. Like the rest of the team though, forwards and defence nearly identical to mine.

As an Arsenal fan I thought I’d avoid the Spurs documentary on Amazon but it’s pretty good so far.

Amazing insight into behind the scenes.

Really impressed with all the betting companies FFS is getting into bed with these days. An impressive array of ethically correct partners.

Stuck to my current draft for an entire working week lol. Only question mark is regarding the Ziyech injury. Sticking with him unless I read evidence strongly suggesting he won't make GW1.

I've got to say though, they are much better than Paddy Power who were the previous partners of this site. Significantly better odds than any other bookie (except exchanges). They even send you a mastercard if you make a lot of bets within a short time so you can withdraw money from cash machines, which is super convenient.

Lots of members on here making their points about gambling, at least it seems the majority are members - nothing worse than those who don’t pay the small subscription fee yet moan about content in free articles or ads!

I agree that non premium members shouldn't complain and I haven't seen many doing that, but everyone is entitled to put their opinion unless they're not being too aggressive.

Who seems like the best potential value so far? TAA at 7.5? Soucek at 5? ASM? Can't imagine anyone at 12 is good value this year.

Egan or Lascelles (if cash itb and works with your plans) for a Spurs defender.
