Team Reveals

Fantasy Football Scout’s best FPL team reveals ahead of Gameweek 1 deadline

As Fantasy Premier League managers search for the best players and best combination of assets for Gameweek 1 of the 2020/21 season, we have collected our Team Reveals all in one place.

The clock is ticking down and everyone in the FPL community is desperate for some answers. Thankfully we have them in abundance.

Fantasy Football Scout will be running exclusive weekly Team Reveals on the site throughout the season (which you can ACCESS HERE), but as it’s the last day before the Gameweek 1 deadline we are publishing a bumper edition.

We wanted to do something special, by sharing insights from a whole team of leading managers together in one place. Welcome to the best Gameweek 1 Team Reveals…

1. Lateriser12

Three-time top 200 finisher and India’s reigning champion, Lateriser12 is going without Salah, but how has he spread the funds? Premium Members can find out!

2. Simon March

Former FPL winner and four-time top 7k finisher Simon March is also going without Salah. Premium Members can find out why!

3. Darren Wiles

Currently sat third in the FFS Career Hall of Fame, Darren Wiles is going light up-front this season, but which mid-price forwards have taken his fancy?

4. Az

Co-host of the Scoutcast and FPL Black Box, Az has gone for a 4-3-3 formation in light of Blank Gameweek 1’s awkward nature.

5. Andy

With six top 20k finishes to his name, Andy Mears, our video manager, is eyeing up a Chelsea double-up for the start of 2020/21.

6. Zophar666

Recorded before Ziyech’s pre-season injury, this team reveal video from a seven-time top 10k finisher reveals a Chelsea double-up combined with lavish spending elsewhere.

7. Gianni Butticè

Author of Fantasy Premier League: Unlocking the Secrets to a Top 1% Finish, Gianni is going for the bold approach of a triple-up on Arsenal this season.

8. Karam

Karam has gone for the rather bold approach of tripling-up on Liverpool… in defence!

9. Sam Bonfeld

Fresh from a 3k-finish in 2019/20, Sam has somehow managed to get FOUR players priced £10.5m or higher into her team.

10. David Munday

Fantasy Football Scout editor David is toying with the inclusion of Harry Kane this season.

11. Neale Rigg

Fantasy Football Scout’s deputy editor Neale has considered going with a 4-4-2 formation to accommodate investment in Manchester United from the start.

12. Stephen Harrap

Meanwhile, the second-placed FFS Career Hall of Famer, Stephen Harrap has opted for a decidedly puzzling line-up (see what we did there?), choosing to semi-reveal his intended starting squad in cryptic crossword style.
The first person to correctly identify the squad in the comments will earn a Premium Membership (and our eternal admiration!)

GKs:

DJ could start a really hollow thought, and not finish, to get into him. (8)

He’s that cute! (6)

Defenders:

Is that the news of his arrival I hear? (6)

Thanks to Algeria’s opening man. (3)

He’s got the fish despite not ever angling. (7)

A spider’s home brew could be missing him? (8)

Sounds like he’s not going to pass, but I won’t give him an F! (6)

Midfielders:

He has, alas, a broken heart. (5)

He’s part of the direction to a religious king. (6)

Own a stats language on the top of zooming him. (7)

Two snakes, beginning outside, are around me, man. (8)

He likes a bite out of a sandwich between his two apples. (4)

Strikers:

He is a clown, or mistaken with a grand premier. (5)

They say he needs plates to go from left to wright. (6)

anyone believing that Arsenal lineup zoom of Arteta's picture on their Twitter account?

'arsenalfantv' who allow MRDT on there every week who said to an indian man on twitter "all that dirty drinking water has got to your head"

Robbie the host to a Chinese gooner "you could maybe do some kung fu for us"

Yeah, if it were for fans they would not have the same exact ones on each week.

And finally, look at how they spoke of Wenger. Embarrassed our fanbase. The club told them to change their name from 'arsenalfantv' to AFTV as well.

Isn't it a bit like associating a national newspaper with a country though? They don't speak for the club, and as far as I'm aware aren't associated with it.

Umm, they are fans of the club whose soul purpose and job is to follow and know about their team. Other than actual Arsenal employees I don’t think anyone can be expected to know more about lineups than arsenal fan tv

Wait you think the knowledgeable fans are the ones that would be at the forefront of such an exercise? No you're gonna get the loudmouth narcissists who want their say.

By saying they are associated with Arsenal you're implying they get fed information by Arsenal football club and that isn't the case as far as I can see.

    McCarthy - Steer
    Holding - Justin - KWP - Targett - Mitchell
    Mane - Aubameyang - Son - Havertz - Bissouma
    Ings - Richarlison - Wilson

    0.5m in the bank.

    GW 2 - Ings > Martial
    GW 3 - Aubameyang > Sterling
    GW 4 - WC

Going all out for the first 3 gws as I will be WCing in GW 4.

    Thoughts? Good luck all. 🙂

Salah 10 12 12 assists last 3 years, Mane 10 3 8. Salah has better expected assists, key passes and shoots more so will get assists for rebounds. Mane is not better as assists

Mane, otherwise you have to be fast with your transfer to avoid price drop.

Davies, Saiss, James (if starting) all good options.

Good 4.5's like KWP, Taylor, Justin who are nailed for short term for sure.

Don't think he'll be nailed this season, but he may start GW1. Lewis should be left back long term. Right back should be between Krahft and Manquillo. Hopefully Yedlin gets nowhere near the starting lineup.

Need some feedback on these two drafts:
Would you go with a 4-4-2 with ASM+Martial (bench), or 3-4-3 with Havertz+Mitrovic? Mitro could also be Adams or any other 6.0.

    McCarthy
    TAA - Davies - Vinagre - Mitchell
    Aubameyang - Salah - ASM - Soucek
    Werner - Ings
    (Button - Martial - Bissouma - Ayling)

Don't think anyone can be 10/10 as still lots of uncertainty. And also everyone would copy it thus not longer making it 10/10 and just a template side.

It's a very good side with no real weakness.

Start with Tierny for 2 weeks or Digne for long haul and save a transfer after GW2?
