Leeds defence boosted by return of Cooper as Mitrovic starts for Fulham

Fantasy Premier League managers will get a first look at Leeds’ defence with their club captain involved today.

Liam Cooper (£4.5m) missed the Gameweek 1 trip to Liverpool with a minor injury and watched his colleagues concede four times.

Gameweek 2 appears to be more of a standard fixture for the Whites this season and, with interest in Stuart Dallas (£4.5m) and Luke Ayling (£4.5m), his contribution will certainly something to watch today.

Outside of that change, Marcelo Bielsa has retained faith in the other 10 players from the Anfield loss.

As Pascal Struijk (£4.0m) drops to the bench, there are second starts of the campaign for Patrick Bamford (£5.6m), Jack Harrison (£5.5m), Mateusz Klich (£5.5m), Hélder Costa (£5.5m) and Pablo Hernández (£6.0m).

Fulham are boosted by a returning player of their own, as Aleksandar Mitrović (£6.0m) comes into the starting line-up after a minor injury forced Scott Parker to bench him for Gameweek 1.

The Serbian forward is supported by a three-man attacking midfield of Aboubakar Kamara (£5.0m), Josh Onomah (£5.0m) and Ivan Cavaleiro (£5.5m).

Tom Cairney (£5.5m) drops to the bench to allow André-Franck Zambo Anguissa (£4.5m) to pair with Harrison Reed (£4.5m) in holding midfield while Alphonse Areola (£4.5m) replaces Marek Rodák (£4.5m) in goal.

Leeds United XI: Meslier; Dallas, Cooper, Koch, Ayling; Phillips; Harrison, Hernández, Klich, Costa; Bamford.

Fulham XI: Areola; Bryan, Hector, Odoi, Tete; Reed, Zambo Anguissa; Kamara, Onomah, Cavaleiro; Mitrović.

Fair play to those who picked him, but why did you pick DCL after his lockdown form?

Its literally the reason i didnt pick him, hopefully he returns to that form soon lol

It’s a bit of a strange one isn’t it? I mean of course I get James increases his appeal but he was still getting decent supply, just couldn’t hit a barndoor.

DCL was amazing for me pre-lockdown.

Lockdown was a strange event, and many teams had nothing to play for. It was a weird to time, and unreliable to draw data from.

Yeah this. Plus they bought a midfield so he actually gets service now.

Yes of course, can’t help but be influenced by more recent form though, especially given the quick turnaround to the new season

That sort of form never continues indefinitely. He was always going to start scoring points based on his underlying stats

Picked him because he looked sharp in the first match and I had planned to WC straight away anyways.
Everton have become a really creative attacking team and DCL is the ideal striker for them.

DCL isn't as bad as you think he is. I love it when players get a "donkey" reputation, it usually clouds people's judgement and opens up opportunity.

A lot of people still think Sterling can't finish...

The whole midfield behind him being upgraded and the fixtures being good probably had something to do with it. I went without unfortunately.

I cheated and WC'd him in this week - thought my Jimenez - Vardy - Werner looked great.

But DCL value and Everton style shape and form convinced me.

      It is now Jimenez-Martial-DCL
So Werner hatrick v West Brom? 😀

It’s also a thing that if the fixtures don’t matter, Carlo doesn’t care if the team don’t really try. So post lockdown was essentially friendlies that didn’t matter and aren’t relevant.

Just had a feeling he was the one to get out of that lot! Richarlison is profligate, Hames was still a wait and see. Plus it allowed Bruno in midfield instead of Rashford/Greenwood.

Team, could a question I can’t find the answer to: how come Bruno hasn’t risen in price?

Vardy and Bruno have almost identical % ownership. Bruno had double the number of people buy him in this week, yet remained at the same price Vs Vardy who won’t up.1. Makes no sense to me.

i thought pickford was a good pick, still could be, but conceding two vs wba a little concerning, perhaps its more indictive they plan to attack heavily and spurs are just that bad

This. I saw just about to post about this. I can't help but think that they'll be knackered by Christmas. Would be curious about their form in the last 3rd of the season.

Mind you they might have done ok against championship opposition but I don't think this can be sustained.
