I’m currently sitting on 26,005th position, I am first in every group that is played for the prizes, and I have some serious doubts about few players, and the main question remains, should I go for wc? I have no woolves neither city players, and currently, my bench is not playing at all... any thoughts ?

You cant have the key players from every team. Are you happy woth your team? You should be. No case to WC imo.

Everyone will have issues with their team so long as your core (key players) is strong and you have faith in it then you are sound.

I'm happy, but I have no bench players for backup... I have played this week with 9 players and scored 82 points... How about Zaha and Jimenez?

Have Mourinho Spurs resolved their issues now that they beat Sou away from home 2 -5?

Surely not but impressive fpl assets in Son and Kane. From what I read were lucky not to be traling at half time. Did you see enough to invest?

    Discuss please !

Southampton were bad. In fact they were worse than when they played Leicester. The chap with the Hazard grav made an excellent point about there were several disallowed goals too.

I'm not too bothered by Kane I don't think and it appears that Son is the asset to have. He could easily blank v NEW, but at 8.9-9m, confidence high, explosive and a good pre season, I'm on him atm

Son is a proven explosive asset, as long as he's in form and not injured, he's not a placeholder IMHO, he's there to stay

Currently have two Midfielders 5.5 - Podence and Klich atm to allow for a front line of DCL, Wood and Werner.

I don’t like DCL at all as a player so not sure whether I’ll end up with Rich or Rod in the end

Think it could be the way to go early doors. Defending has been atrocious all over (even Wolves yesterday)

Gives you time to assess which are the better of the cheaper options without transfers

I saw him today in the game for the first time and did some preliminary digging. Seems like he has winger stats which are a bit like Ferran Torres and not too great for FPL. We will see though.

    How nailed are these players?

    1) Mitchel....till gw6 till PVA is back?
    2) Justin.....till gw7 till Pereria is back? Does Justin play LB or RB?
    3) Reece James....will rotate with Azpi?
    4) Taylor.....will he compete with Pieters and is rotation risk?

    Most nailed 4.5 defenders (imo):
    - Lamptey
    - KWP
    - Ayling

Leaning toward Podence as Klich will soon enter a tough fixtures and Podence will likely to start with 2 back-to-back assists and Neto could be benched if Traore is pushed forward

A’noon all. Any thoughts on this WC? 0.0 ITB.

    Ryan (Button)
    Saiss - Taylor - Justin - Lamptey - Mitchell
    Salah - KDB - Son - Zaha - Anguisa
    Werner - DCL - Jimi

    Any thoughts?

I would prefer J Rodriguez to Zaha but 0.4 short.

It's just me but I won't go with Salah as in the next 3-4 fixtures, he's unlikely to haul or be your captain

And since Justin and Mitchell will likely lose their spot, I'll go double on TAA/Robbo there

9/15 players in my team scored 0-1 points, further 2 blanked and points coming only from Hames, DCL, Auba and TAA. Is it time for a wildcard or should I take a hit and wait for 1 or 2 more weeks. Roughest start in years for me...

    Possible wildcard:

    GK: Martinez (Steer)
Def: TAA, Justin, Saiss (Lamptey, Dunne)
Mid: Salah, KDB, Son, Podence, James Rod
    FWD: Jimenez, DCL (Brewster)

Wondering whether to go James or Zaha

Already took a hit and seriously considering a wildcard.

    McCarthy - Steer
    TAA - Dallas - Ayling - Justin - Mitchell
    Auba - Son - Bruno - Rodriguez - Saka
    Werner - DCL - Davis

There are way too much prejudice against certain teams here.
Manu and Everton face the same 2 teams yet Manu's assets are trash while Everton's ones are world class.
Spurs scored cos they were lucky while Everton scored against 10 men promoted team cos they are "world class".
And newcastle are def parking the bus against spurs while palace are gonna play open football against Everton. And if spurs nets against Newcastle, it's luck again cos of Newcastle's play style. And Zaha is forever a trap even though he could have scored hat tricks in both games.

    1. Camzy

      Agreed.

The first game is skewing a lot of people's opinions on teams. Spurs were suddenly lucky against Southampton because they were poor against Everton. And Everton were class against WBA because they did well against Spurs too.

Zaha is a trap though because Palace's attack is set to change. Talk of them being in for Brewster, and they also have Eze yet to be integrated. Zaha is unlikely to continue to play upfront for Palace and his history suggests that he will regress.

Newcastle being a shithouse low block team is no more. Since restart they've been quite an open attacking team. They've shed the ugly football from last season but the prejudice from first half of last season still haunts them.

I look at Everton's fixtures and they don't look easy at all, but suddenly their players became "must-haves". Yes I get that they are good budget and pretty cheap but certainly not must-haves.

I believe Palace are gonna carry on with 1 striker if not they would have started with 2 on GW2. They actually playing 4-5-1 most of the time since everyone is mostly all behind defending.

correct, people just see what they want to see on here and luckily for them stats can be framed in a way that can support a variety of different conclusions

Yup, I just don't understand the hype over Everton players here when manu's fixtures are actually easier than theirs. I rather face spurs at home than Liverpool. I'm curious to see how ppl here gonna react when everton blanks while spurs thrash Newcastle.

I think you'll find that Mahrez or Bernardo plays this week and not Foden...

Better option long term, more explosive or go dullard

    A) Son + Pulisic(when fit)

    B) Bruno + Hamez

              As darkside said;
              McCarthy, KWP, Adams, Soucek, Saliba..

I'll let you off Justin because he has got returns somehow despite being awful. But Saints look dammed, maybe Adams will come good soon but the defence I wouldnt count on it. Saliba doesnt even start, Mitchell wont be starting soon enough and Soucek has horrific fixtures. And if Werner dont do anything vs WestBrom then you will want him out as well

gl, things change fast here 😀
Maybe Saints get a kick up the backside and sort their defence out

Hehe, I was kind of hoping Saints to continue their defensive form from the end of last season. Guess that hope has gone, at least for now

Same, I think everyone did, until a few days before the dealdine and I realised triple saints cant be right lol.
After Leicester smashed them last season they changed into a different team, so they could sort it out tbh.

You have too many issues and price drops won't help. So I reckon WC next gw if you want the players you are after or else you will be priced out by £1m very soon

Are Liverpool defenders that essential? What if just sacrificing TAA for a 4.5 defender like Lamptey helps you upgrade Zaha/ Rodriguez in order to get a KDB + Sterling double up? Example below:

    Martinez (Steer)
    James Saiss Lamptey CTaylor (Mitchell)
    KDB Salah Sterling Son (Bissouma)
    Jiminez DCL

    Thanks!

TAA will haul soon and you will want him back.

It's worth it go ahead. The thing i don't like about doubling is that if the team has a bad week, then at least one of them is most likely to blank.

4 4 2 in a season which looks to be free scoring isn't smart

Took a hit last night to do Auba and Egan to KDB and Saiss. Is this good to go?

    McCarthy
    Saiss TAA Mitchell Vinagre
    Salah KDB Bruno Son
    Wilson DCL

    Martin Justin Bissouma Vassilev
