Pro Pundits - Darren

Why I’m lining up for FPL Gameweek 3 without any Chelsea players

A Fantasy Premier League veteran of 11 years, Darren Wiles has an incredible track record with three top 1k finishes in the last four seasons.

With so many favourable match-ups in Gameweek 3, I am feeling confident about the next round of Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a positive start thus far, anyway, with 80 and 90-point hauls in the first two Gameweeks taking me to a total of 170 and an overall rank of 29k.

The goals have been flying in so far and I have been lucky enough to capitalise on the early glut of double-digit returns. But all of that is in the past, and it’s what happens this weekend that matters now.

Here is what my team looks like for Gameweek 3 and the reasons behind some key decisions.

      All have merits

I'm on Foden and keeping an eye on Barnes as a potential 'out'

Trossard a nice alternative pick too

Agreed that Barnes is a great alternative.

Trossard is such a tease. I’m finding it hard to resist him for 6m

I agree. First had Barnes, been tempted by Foden. I'm hoping to make 0.1m profit and move to Barnes to retain my 5.0 GK.

    Any Brewster news?

If he moves then great bench fodder but I'm tempted by Delap for a few weeks as I think he will get the odd cameo (which Brewster won't at Pool)

    1. Manani
      • 12 Years
      3 years, 6 months ago

      best case scenario for Delap:

get a few points while he is on your bench, then drop in price when people start selling him after he 'lost' his place

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Yeah he is unlikely to ever make it into my team let alone City's but Brewster is actually more owned and currently falling so Delap protects the cash more

He is actually a liability cuz if he comes on he can block someone else on the bench who may be able to score more points.

A seeks to be more exciting

If Fulham score them chances are it is Mitro...but how many will they score

If City score then Foden maybe involved 30% of the time. I like the hope as they score plenty 🙂

    Jimenez / DCL

    Forster // Lamptey / Brewster / Mitchell

    A) Martinez/Steer instead?
    B) Chelsea player in? How? Hear me out...
