Why I’m lining up for FPL Gameweek 3 without any Chelsea players

A Fantasy Premier League veteran of 11 years, Darren Wiles has an incredible track record with three top 1k finishes in the last four seasons.

With so many favourable match-ups in Gameweek 3, I am feeling confident about the next round of Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a positive start thus far, anyway, with 80 and 90-point hauls in the first two Gameweeks taking me to a total of 170 and an overall rank of 29k.

The goals have been flying in so far and I have been lucky enough to capitalise on the early glut of double-digit returns. But all of that is in the past, and it’s what happens this weekend that matters now.

Here is what my team looks like for Gameweek 3 and the reasons behind some key decisions.

      Jimi will do fine. Werner may haul, but rather have balance. however if werner flops, i'll need to make 2 transfers to put it back where I want it I went with jimi, ings, mitro. Werner means compromises in other areas of the team.

    Think the key to this gameweek (like most weeks!) is captain. Which to captain and more importantly why?

    A) Salah
    B) KDB
    C) Son
    D) Werner

    Son - feel like he got his major haul last week, risk his minutes are managed given fixtures congestion & Newcastle will defend deep in large numbers

    Werner - away game. Chelsea not convinced yet and main supply lines in Pulisic and Ziyech are out. Yet to score a premier league goal - but West Brom are abysmal and Werner is Chelsea main attacking outlet

    Salah & KDB - both proven point machines both at home. Leicester with Ndidi out seems more appealing.

    So I’m currently on KDB (head) but I’d love to be convinced to captain Werner (heart)

      Depends when you think you'll WC, I wouldn't take a -8 if you will wildcard soon but if you plan on holding until xmas just take the extra hit for Jimenez, he'll pay it back over the next few games.

    In theory if you went 451
    Who would your only striker be? Would it be Jimenez? Nailed on so should be no weeks with only 10 players. Steady stream of points. Good price point to upgrade or downgrade if needed.
    Any other suggestions (apart from don’t go 451)
