Why I’m lining up for FPL Gameweek 3 without any Chelsea players

A Fantasy Premier League veteran of 11 years, Darren Wiles has an incredible track record with three top 1k finishes in the last four seasons.

With so many favourable match-ups in Gameweek 3, I am feeling confident about the next round of Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a positive start thus far, anyway, with 80 and 90-point hauls in the first two Gameweeks taking me to a total of 170 and an overall rank of 29k.

The goals have been flying in so far and I have been lucky enough to capitalise on the early glut of double-digit returns. But all of that is in the past, and it’s what happens this weekend that matters now.

Here is what my team looks like for Gameweek 3 and the reasons behind some key decisions.

    What is the logic behind every WC'er going Martinez? I still feel Mccarthy is the better pick and has fixtures too. Villa were awful defensively last season and don't think Martinez is suddenly going to transform that.

      Southampton look like a team that requires bold squad decisions. And McCarthy seems to be at the top of the considering how poor he's looked in the opening 2. Adding to that, one of their veterans, Forster just returned after completing a loan spell at Celtic.

        The last spot was between watkins and 5.5 -6 mid and i don't rate anyone in this bracket.
        Good finish , good fixtures especially gw3 and from gw6 , he is my punt , hope he will pay off.

          i'm permacaping kdb for a few weeks, and seeing how that goes. it takes the thought out of it

    I've got a feeling foden will play up front. Sterling has always been rubbish at it and the striker role needs someone who is good with their back to goal. David silva played there a few times and I think foden is capable

      makes sense. sterling may start there, but foden and kdb will both play there at some point during the game, they will probably interchange to figure out what works best.

      They are the teams to target.
      I played around with 3 Wolves but just ended up with 2 and I don't like spending £10m+ on someone who isn't captain but it looks a solid team.

        Yeah, hasn't worked for me in the past either tbh mate...but I'm set on it (despite the Jesus news) for a few GWs (I'd prefer to follow my gut and fail than the flipside)! I'd be pretty certain that Salah will end up coming in sooner rather than later though!

      I'm probably biased but Werner in for the pricepoint (Jesus Martial Vardy) seems worth it. Would need a Son/Salah sacrifice though unfortunately!
