Allsvenskan Fantasy

Fantasy Allsvenskan Gameweek 22 Preamble

It’s been a while since we last spoke. Life does tend to get in the way of pouring one’s heart out to people online, lamenting the fact you’ve brought in Muamer Tankovic for a fourth time this season yet, still, somehow managed to dodge all of his goals, bagging just a solitary Fantasy assist.

Moving on from Double Gameweek 21 feels a lot like waking up after an all-night bender with the lads: my head is all sore and I find myself in the awkward position of having to make a cup of coffee to not one but three (!) Varberg attackers. As we engage in stilted conversations about just what happened the night before, in the end we all agree it’s best we part ways sooner rather than later.

The Wildcard beckons. I find I can live with Astrit Selmani as a temporary flatmate as long as he’s willing to put in the bare minimum in terms of effort: clean up after himself and try not to disturb the rest of my squad too much, as we gather what’s left of a cohesive strategy and attempt to put the shattered parts to good use. Junes Barny gets to stay this week as well but is relegated to bench duty, the equivalent of just staying out of my sight unless I specifically request his presence to make up for the untimely absence of a player I actually like.

Robin Book, however, had to go. The term “three’s a crowd” has never been more apt and I’m not even sad to see him leave. Rather like most late-night mistakes, I want to wipe the slate clean and pretend it never happened. He booked himself a ticket straight out of town and we parted ways unceremoniously: no waving from the window or tears shed as we both agreed things didn’t really pan out as either of us wanted.

In a foul mood I rang up an old buddy of mine and he agreed he would show up on short notice to try to provide some comfort to me and my ailing squad. I reminded Nahir Besara to not let me down, pointing to the elusive green arrows and asking him to please bring me at the very least one of them before the flash flood of the Wildcard was upon us. He replied that the reception was dreadful and he didn’t manage to hear a word, but he promised to come right over and bring a pizza and my old comfort blanket. At this stage I was happy enough with that.

The Double Gameweek does tend to have a lot in common with a night out on the town. It’s almost always a nice prospect, yet ultimately it tends to disappoint. Perhaps we set out with an unreasonable ambition and paint a glorious picture of the events about to unfold, or perhaps it’s more of a case of being able to pick the right mates, the right location, and, crucially, the right amount of pints to consume. A night out (and a DGW) can turn into a memory you’ll never forget and, equally, it can easily become a night that you don’t want to talk too much about: admitting that it was indeed at times fun, but in no way worth the hassle.

Enter Gameweek 22. Malmö are still in the Europa League qualifiers while Djurgården joined Hammarby and Göteborg in bowing out, it remains the one and only question mark that could hinder them from just walking away with the title it seems. They have the squad depth to cope yet, as we’ve seen this season, they’ve been nowhere near as dominant as they should have been given their superior first XI and bench players.

AIK looks to have turned a corner and I’m very much targeting them on my imminent Wildcard, where the perennially backed Nabil Bahoui will have to look like a deflated tube man to be able to avoid getting sucked into this mess that I like to call my team. In the meantime, I leave it to the likes of Moses Ogbu and Tim Rönning to try to prove it was more than just a Double Gameweek fling.

How are you all doing in between the Double Gameweeks? Captains, transfers, general life stuff? 🙂

    Good luck this GW!

In a state of confusion, myself. Not sure what transfer to do, who to captain and who to bench.Leaning towards saving transfer as nothing really stands out.

      Current Line Up:

      Ronning
      Witry, Larsson, Ahmedhodzic, Bjornstrom
      Vecchia, Norlin, AC, Haksabanovic
      Karlsson, Selmani,

Bench: Lauritsen, Ogbu, Barny, Keita (GK)

3.7 million in the bank. AC probably out, yes. Not much information available. Not sure who to get. Bench a bit weak

Is AC definitely out? I haven’t had the time to check properly.
If highly unlikely to feature than yeah, he should probably go. I got rid like 8 GWs ago or something and haven’t really been punished, he’s really been a letdown like a lot of the premiums this year!

Nothing confirmed. JDT said nothing about availability in press comments today. Will wildcard in 24 anyway. He is, for now.

      Here's the team this week:

      Ronning
      Larsson, Olsson, Bjornstrom
      Berget, Besara, Sana, Vecchia,
      Karlsson, Selmani, Barny

      Anderson, Lauritsen, Ahmedhodzic, Book

      5.9 itb. What's the likelihood of tankovic starting? I'm looking at Sana + Barny/Book > Bahoui + Tank/Johansson

Haven’t seen anything at all about Tank, seemed minor so hopefully plays but think it’s 50/50. Bahoui should be safer this week I’d say. As mentioned I can’t get the timing right with Tank but he’s in for better or worse hah. I’d avoid a hit in your case but if it’s for free I like it 🙂

Book to Bahoui or Besara I think! I have a good feeling about Besara this GW, he’ll be my captain. Always like Bahoui as well, that’s a well documented fact xD

Not much information on Tankovic either. Some injury concern. Kacaniklic has voiced dissent recently. Hammarby not in balance at the moment

Hammarby is very up and down and Kaca isn’t helping at all. So tired of him whining about tactics as soon as they lose, accepting no responsibility himself for a season of being bad-mediocre at best.

Fpl is a crazy. Had 103pts gw1 and then 46 and 35 in the 2 weeks after. What's worst is I don't feel like I even have enough info to commit to a WC!

Still a comfortable 60 point lead over me and I played my WC this week, loading up on Wolves and City, and getting in Son 🙂
Think it will be fine in the coming weeks though, just needs a bit of minor tweaking.
I played around with a full penalty taking squad but didn’t like it in the end, not loving the new handball rule.

Yeah a really slow start but I have faith in my squad overall, just went slightly heavy on City without a striker. I’ll give them Leeds but after that, chopping blocks!
Wolves should be fine though shipping 4 doesn’t exactly give me faith in Saiss medium term, when fixtures stiffen.

Forgot to transfer out birkfeldt for an AIK defender with 8.6 in the bank
Scored 44 points with birkfeldt! on the bench this gw.
I have gone with AIK players with lustig and Larsson, and nyman on a -4 till WC 24.
OR 864 now with two captains to play.

Heard lauritsen the legend may get sold to dinamo zagreb, what a move but what a loss haha

I’m surprised Lauritsen has stayed this long to be honest, not sure how many more points he has to score to be relevant abroad (I know they’ve been suspect defensively, not sure he’s to blame there).

Cheers, Meltens! I think I will go for it. Haksabanovic is too much of a punt without any evidence of form lately. AC might just make a cameo. Nyman feels like a six-point ceiling. Hopefully, there will be points for all!

Besara vs Vecchia is a tough one for me but I think just having Besara might be enough, Vecchia EO will be too high to enjoy his points otherwise I imagine. Irandust a potential option as well but so inconsistent

Vecchia cap makes sense, as you mention. There are game weeks to play it safe, and game weeks to attack with the captaincy. This one feels like one of the former rather than the latter.

WC to be activated as soon as GW 24 starts, to load up on DGW25 players and ditch players with poor fixtures. Given hindsight, maybe I just should have activated it this game week

Now that Lauritsen and Karlsson have both left, I'm trying to decide what to do this GW. Already done Lauritsen > Lustig (being a Rosenborg fan I knew I had to have Lustig in my team at some point). Karlsson needs to go too of course, but do I want to take a hit to do it? I can bench him and play Norlin or Birkfeldt.

Looking ahead, I still have Park the bus, two captains and the wildcard to play, so I need to plan moves to get the most out of those chips.

I think a punt on any striker for a hit is worth it over playing the Varberg lads tbh. Nyman could have a nice GW! IKT if you think he starts. Even Dutch Tony (Anthony van den Hurk)

        1. TAT

It's tempting to take a hit, that's for sure. Haven't owned a Malmö striker all season, and Kiese Thelin looks a decent option for a punt. Nyman has a decent fixture, van den Hurk should be under consideration (saves you some cash too!), and you could gamble on a high-scoring Stockholm derby, bringing in Jóhannsson. Just can't decide who to back for points!

Just can't catch a break! Bahoui off injured after 30mins, Lustig who I got in for Lauritsen off on 53, while the other AIK Def I was debating instead in Karlsson is on for a double digit haul. Things just getting worse and worse last few gws.

Lustig and Bahoui injuries very unfortunate, but still the right call imo. I went for both as well...

It’s very hard catching any kind of a break this season in Allsvenskan, or FPL for that matter. At least we have a DGW to look forward to in GW25!

Hi everyone! Hope you're keeping well.

I've really taken my eye off the ball and missed two gameweek deadlines, don't know what's going on and didn't even realise Lauritsen had left, haha!

So it looks as if GW 25 is a DGW. I have 2FTs and also a wildcard, two captains and park the bus in play. Any advice for navigating all of this and getting my season back on track would be much appreciated 🙂

      Ogbu, Vecchia, Berget, Haksabanovic Norlin
      Frick, Selmani, Karlsson

Hmm, think it might be worth playing the PTB-chip in DGW25, thus WC this week. Two captains is a nice boost in one of the other GWs for a late push!

AIK, Sirius, Djurgården, Häcken should feature heavily in the WC but also consider some SGW:ers like Besara, Tankovic, Johan Larsson, Van Den Hurk 🙂

As for Tankovic, keep an eye on the news as he might be leaving after all due to a really bad clause inserted by Hammarby where he can leave for free this window if a club agrees personal terms with him.

Now is defenitly the time to wildcard, and I think you should go for PTB in DGW25. There are plenty of options to go for, without knowing your budget or so, here are some alternatives:

      Keepers:
Dahlberg, Januzevic, Marko Johansson, Noring (to save cash)

      Defenders:
Lindgren, Ekpolo, Lustig, Kahl, Larsson, Witry, Björnström, Knudsen

      Midfielders:
Larsson, Bahoui (if fit), Magnus Eriksson, AC, Berget, Sugita, Vecchia, Irandust

      Strikers:
      IKT, Nyman, Söderlund, Hümmet, Abraham

Going for a PTB defence I would try to fit in Lindgren, Ekpolo, Björnström, Witry and Kahl/Lustig. It all depends on your budget. Ekpolo also on 3 YC, so save at least 0.1 ITB. Then if he picks up a YC in GW24 you can easily swap him for Toivio instead.

Other players to go for in DGW25 and forward could be Irandust, Larsson, Vecchia and/or Sugita. I would focus on the DGW teams, maybe no so heavily on Djurgården though due to poor form, and apart from those teams Malmö both in defence and attack, and Norrköping in attack.

You know Bob , I hardly have any of them, so as well as it being the right time, it seems as if a full team refresh is what I need to push on. A sub 1k finish would be amazing, that's my goal. I'll consult this perfect little cheat sheet when I come to putting my WC team together. A thousand thanks!

As stated forgot to use my attack chip in gw21 which in hindsight might have been for the best(fingers crossed I get lucky with my forward picks though 2 are a bit left field).

I of course made things even worse and missed the deadline with something like 15 seconds in gw22.

So from being OR12 in gw20 I’ve managed to drop to OR60 now and instead of a decent shot at winning I’m now 71 points behind leader with 38 points up to top 10 spot(which is my new goal for feeling of comfort).

At least this night I got around to make my WC team in around 2 hours setting my self up for the run in and the use of the my clutching straw The ‘attack’ chip which I definitely won’t forget to hit next gw.
Hopefully I can save ft during dgw25 and thus for free get 2 expensive top players in for gw26 as I saved money to even cover for a few +-0.1 changes.

Good luck all in any case!

    @Meltens

I know you’ve had your time schedule completely overthrown with the baby and all but you do a good job with the time you have with this Allsvenskan biz. I do hope you keep it up next season!
I’ve had a bit of nightmare myself for the last with a Mother with, by now, raging Alzheimer’s.
But if you want, I’d gladly help out next season with whatever I can.
I’m no writer, nor am I a stat nerd(even though I can dig out a fair bit if I want) by any means but I’ve pretty much been a season ticket holder on Parken/Östgötaporten since late 80’s and I do watch an obscene amount of Allsvenskan football.
There are surely others willing to pitch in also. So we keep this game alive here and even step up the coverage a bit. If you want, of course?

Hi mate! 🙂 Sorry for the late reply.

Yes I’m not going to lie, juggling a full time job with a newborn and Scout Picks has been hard enough, let alone trying to provide the occasional article here as well. The tight schedule and the low scores all the time in the first half of the season nearly sucked all the energy out of me, but it’s been worth it because of the lovely community on here!

Sorry to hear that, life does have a tendency to throw some big spanners in the works from time to time... Hope you’re keeping well despite the circumstances.

That would be absolutely magnificent to be honest, any and all help in keeping the community alive and ideally expanding it is very much appreciated! 🙂 I’ll speak to Geoff and we’ll get in touch.

    Best Hacken combination

I am currently on a WC preparing for the the DGW and I wonder what Hacken combination to go for, or to put it in a different way: is Soderlund worth it? Currently, I have Dahlberg, defender, Irandust in my current line up. However, the fixtures are promising from an attacking point of view. The case against is that Soderlund is not that explosive and seems to have a six-point ceiling and rarely plays the full 90 minutes. What are your thoughts, both on Soderlund but also regarding Hacken?

With all the injuries they seem to have I think there’s a good case to be made about Wålemark

I'm not as conviced. Rumours on twitter say Bengtsson is on his way back from injury, and could return perhaps even in time for the DGW. I like the potential of Wålemark, but with other good Häcken options like Dahlberg, Irandust, Söderlund and another defender, I think it could be a bit of a waste of a Häcken spot. Even if you go for him short term, at that price it's hard to replace him without having to make at least a doubble substitution.

Thanks! Wålemark is an intriguing option, but like Bob I am concerned about his minutes and nailedness. Nailed on, he could be an option with explosive potential.

Congrats on the great rank! I am languishing at 159 myself. However, it is my first season playing Allsvenskan Fantasy

Boring answer, but I think both options are equally good. To me, this has been the toughes decision on my wildcard. Dahlberg and Irandust are locked in, but should I go for doubble Häcken defence or attack? As it turned out, I ended up with Söderlund and the doubble attack options. To motivate the decision:

      - Hard to find a solid Häcken defender. Andersson is a rotation threat. Ekpolo is on 3 YC and will almost certainly miss one of the reminding games due to suspension. Toivio is rather expensive. Lindgren offers very little except for the clean sheets.

      - With Nilsson out on loan, and Tuominen out for the season, Söderlund is the only real option in attack. As long as he's fit, he should play. Söderlunds stats might look poor, but it's mostly due to his minutes. His point average is actually equal to Ekpolo, and it's 5th highest among strikers, better than IKT for example.

I also found many more interesting defensice options like Larsson, Knudsen, Ahmedhodzic, Kahl, Lustig, Björnström, Witry etc so it was better for my team to go for Söderlund.

Cheers, Bob! Appreciate the feedback. I may end up with Soderlund too. Looking at Soderlund’s xG number, they are promising. It is his playtime that is a concern, as you mention. It should improve with Nilsson and Tuominen out, which may raise his points ceiling.

Out of curioisity, would you double on Malmo defense or (Johansson + 1) or Attack?

        1. Bob Sacamano
          • 5 Years

Malmö is a tricky one. I actually only have one Malmö player in my wildcard, but plan to get at least one more after DGW25. I would probably prefer a doubble attack, but I'm not sure It's necessary to have have 3 Malmö players. A defender (Knudsen or Ahmedhodzic) seems like a good idea, and at least one of AC, Berget and IKT.

If going for Dahlberg, I wouldn't recomend Marko Johansson as the second keeper. Dahlberg would play most games, which means Johansson would only occupy a Malmö spot in your squad. I'm going for Dahlberg/Janosevic. They rotate perfectly, even though it means having to bench one of them in DGW25.

Why not look at Janosevic/Johansson then.
Cheaper and could do wonders for getting some of the expensive players in

Would still mean occupying a Malmö spot with a rotation keeper. They don't rotate as well as Dahlberg/Janosevic eighter.

Exactly, Cpt. Makes it possible to get the big hitters. In addition, I can always bench Janosevic for the tough fixtures. Malmö rate top in defense, so likely I will play Johansson from GW 26 to the end.

    On Wålemark.
Well I didn’t say I was convinced and I’m not. Just that he should be looked at.
But to play devils advocate hear a bit.

    1. Form should be fresh.
    2. Twitter rumours I don’t even let my brain register(but when it comes to Bengtsson I saw an interview with BK Häcken physio saying B-son is likely to be back in squad which of course doesn’t mean he’s ready to start nor play 2 full games).
    3. Nobody wins anything fantasy wise without taking chances(not saying Wålemark is a must pick, or a great pick, there are plenty but what’s always missing is ppl daring to stick their chin out here and we always gets to read about the usual suspects which lessens then game).

So if we take a look at Wålemark.
In his last 4 matches(4 games the maximum to assess recent form Is my rule).
    In his last 4 he has 1g + 1A,
This in 234 minutes out of 360.
He is without a doubt on the up as a player. Young, got pedigree and improves in every game.

Irandust. In his last 4 matches he has 1A in 358 out of 360 minutes.
In his case, lets look deeper.
He states in interviews he feels tired and suffers from a few knocks. In his last 8 hes had 1g + 1A in a total of 657 out of 720 minutes. No doubt a good player for this level, though still quite young he has failed to take that massive step up with his game which we all have been expecting for a couple of years, personally I think he lacks speed in both movement and thought to bring him to a level which would bring him to a club abroad with Realistic Europa ambitions.

Söderlund. In his last 4, hes mustered 1g in 266 minutes out of 360. Looking in his last 8(discounting AIK) hes got 2g + 1A. This in 601 out of 720 minutes.

    Some other facts.
Wålemark is 19 years old and costs 4.2m.
Irandust is 22 years old and costs 8.9m.
Söderlund is 33 years old and costs 8.4m.

Häcken defenders are expensive and both Toivio and Ekpolo(if back) have their merits but both set you back 6.3m each.
Toivo 1g no assist all season.
Ekpolo 2A no goals all season.
I also think it’s quite easy to find 2 really good defenders with dgw’s, at least 2 and top it of with a 3rd sgw:er with good chance of CS and even an offensive return.

Dahlberg, really good goalie, won’t stay in Sweden long but 6.1m is steep when looking at the dgw options.
    Plus.
AIK goalie Janosevic seem to have nailed down his place and is just 4.7m and has 3CS’s in his last 4 thus has form and his team have improved immensely defensively since Norling finally got thrown out and they chose to get some real good defenders in.
Sirius keeper Jansson is even less at 4.5m. Neither him or his team have exactly set the world on fire with their defensive play but could still be an option as 1of the 3 picks since its hard to find 3 good picks from Sirius. Sugita and our hero Vecchia I’m guessing will be nailed for most of us and not many will dare to go with 3 Sirius mids even though Saed has his merits at that price. The other obvious, now dubious, candidate from Sirius is of course defender Björnström but the carefree forward bombing style he graced us with started the season seems long gone(ok an occasional glimpse but far from what he spoiled us with at the start of the season.

Point is, to be clear, I’m not in no way saying I’m right or that anyone is wrong but just like pointing out there are other ways than just pushing the usual suspects). There are more than one way to skin a cat. And it would be lovely to see more ppl try to find different picks and make their cases.
I would like to think that would make this small community both a favor and help it grow.

One last thing,I’ve as stated done my wild card but it’s not set in stone nor will I reveal it but I wish you all the best of luck!
And please fell free to share if you got a special feeling some forgotten fringe player will do well, bargain or not.

First of all I think it's stupid to categorically brush off twitter rumours. It all depends on source, and in this case I found it reliable with insight in BK Häcken. Rumours on twitter has helped at least half a dozen times this season, with early information about transfers, who's participating in practice, who's starting the game etc.

When it comes to taking chances, I don't think that's true eighter. I might not be a winner (yet! 😉 ) of Allsvenskan fantasy, but I'm heading towards my third consecutive finish inside the top 140 playing a very risk minimizing style with safe picks, and I've hardly taken a single gamble in 3 years.

You seem to focus an awful lot on players prices, while that's usually not an issue in Allsvenskan fantasy. I have no problems fitting in Irandust, Söderlund and Dahlberg without having to sacrifice anyone els I really want. There are also much more to count in than what they have performed so far. Irandust is still top of the league for key passes, and having watched most of Häckens games, it's hardly his fault that his points tally isn't higher. There's much more to come from him. The last time Wålemark hauled people jumped on that ship immedietly, and he followed up with limited game time and only a single goal in 10 GW's despite being available for selection.

        • 10 Years

So from over 600 words you found that my focus was on price?! Just wow...

To be clear you’re team value is not that special that you’re in an exclusive position to be able to fit in Söderlund, Irandust and Dahlberg without sacrificing anyone else we really want, most of us can. Fact is I might end up with the same 3 but unlike you I love and see the need to find an occasional gem and unlike you I maintain that without taking chances(and to be clear for your benefit I’m not talking about about 6 or 7 major gambles in a week, just 1 maybe even 2 now and then) there is no way to win a fantasy football game. And at the end of the day ending up 97th are no better than ending up 2nd in my mind.
The number 1 spot is the only one that holds any meaning.
Of course, if your goal is to make this a way to fame and petty cash, racking up top 100 places will get you on your way coupled with YouTube-vids, Twitter Q&A:s and podcasts.

You do however seem to completely misunderstand the concept of form. Not just now, which probably bottoms in the fact it doesn’t fit with your thinking. I recall earlier in the season I proposed that some high priced mids(some of which I mentioned in that post or at least with name in posts both above and below) did not perform according to their price tag nor in their gameplay.
You of course answered in a derogatory and in my mind clueless way by stating that the top expensive mids were still up top(or decently close) when it came to points tally. You completely ignored what most others call form and the fact their goals and assists had dried up big time if not gone completely missing for between 4 to 6 weeks. Instead you pointed out that their points per game were still around 6 and that was the Key factor(you do the same thing now of course) ,same stat you on numerous occasions have deemed useless for a forward.

Anyway, I genuinely hope you have a great end of season Bob.
You do give advice and even if they always contain the usual suspects I hope nothing then the best 4 you.

My only wish is that we get to seem more outside the box ideas presented, this is of course not exclusively from you. Doesn’t matter if they pan out but Iwould like to see more seeds being planted

        1. Bob Sacamano
          • 5 Years
          3 years, 6 months ago

No, it wasn't based on 600 words, it was based on the fact that you made two differend posts and both focused on price and getting away with cheap options to "free up cash". I've played different types of Allsvenskan fantasy for 6 years and not once have I felt I was priced out on moves, that's part of what makes Allsvenskan fantasy special.

I am well aware of form, and also well aware of what it means to make a gamble. But when you pick a player in fantasy, you don't only pick him for his current form, you also pick him for what he can achieve in the future, and how the situation currently looks. If you had asked me 2 weeks ago I wouldn't have touched Söderlund - now he's in my wildcard team. He's fit again and his competitors are all injuried or loaned out, thinks like that count too.

I'm not against people making a gamble, but it has to be smart gambles. In my wildcard team I got 7 players with less than 7% ownership, but I still also have several players with 30-50% ownership.

Very valid points on risk versus reward, Captain. Wålemark fits that bill rather well. It is these kinds of leap of faith that can make (or break a season) and Walemark has several arguments in his favor. Moreover, Wålemark could be viewed as an enabler to bring in more heavy hitters.

On a wildcard and put the last piece of that puzzle earlier this week. Hoping for no late news to ruin my plan.

Captain will be Vecchia after the news that Aly Keita most likely bring ruled out. Östersund still solid at the back, but hopefully less so without Keita. Vecchia has scored in 6 consecutive home games, and Sirius have scored at least 2 goals in every home game since the premiere.

Both Larssons are also decent options. Elfsborg do struggle with clean sheets though, and AIK will play a much more solid Göteborg under Roland Nilsson. Feels like a low scoring game, although Larsson's got a high celing, so you could probably still expect about 5 points.

The break is over, the picks are back! 😀

Must admit Janosevic has slipped a bit under my radar. The combination of price, bonus- and save points make him an interesting prospect. I take it he's unquestionably AIK's number one goalie now?

Wildcarding this week, captain still undecided tbh.

Obviously the majority of managers are loading up on double gameweek players, but if there's one thing we've learned from the past, it's that proven single gameweek players could be equally good and explosive options. Therefore, what's the general consensus on Malmo? If you had to pick an attacker, Christiansen or Kiese Thelin?

You're welcome! With a risk of messing things up, fresh rumours on twitter from an AIK insight says that Janosevic could lose his spot, which would leave you with only Noring in goal. If true, Johansson could be a decent option, but that would force you to free up a Malmö spot.

I'm still going for Janosevic and hoping for the best, but still got a Malmö spot open for Johansson if needed.

84th Min IKT sub blocking 11 Kahl Pts 1st sub. Neither of my strikers actually started this week (IKT + Karjalainen). Lustig trolling off injured again. Terrific start to the WC...

Yeah that was quite the swing. Not as bad from me but nearly - the goal(s) from Djurgarden wiped out my first-on-bench Knudsen CS at the death and forced IKT to come on for a garbage time 1-pointer. Not the best start indeed!

It was a mad GW. Levi hat trick; Toivonen brace; a three-goal comeback by Djurgården within ten minutes at the death; a Keitaless Ostersund denying captain favorite Vecchia from scoring. Whatever happened to the old, predictable Allsvenskan?

I'd looked at Levi on the WC as well haha. At least the YC for Berget solves my benching headache this gw. Just gotta decide who I replace lustig with on my ptb

Lustig could still feature, I’d wait until last minute for news there.

Got red flagged and been subbed off injured both games I've owned. Just feels like it's not meant to be!

Haha same story for me unfortunately... Didn't train on Wednesday but still has a chance according to an article yesterday. Hopefully more news to come but I just wouldn't like to sell for a hit unless confirmed out personally

Scout Picks for the Double Gameweek here: https://twitter.com/AllsvFantasy/status/1319618550416408577?s=20

Hope you're all keeping well, don't miss the deadline tomorrow at 13.00 CET.
Are you planning to deploy a chip this DGW? How many doublers are you targeting?

      Sensible picks, Meltens!

Btw, will you or FFS provide some input on double captaincy options this GW? I am using that chip this GW

I think the ones with the highest floor as well as ceiling is definitely Seb Larsson and Daleho Irandust. While Vecchia continues to shoot like a madman Sirius have gradually become more like the team we expected ahead of the season and Djurgården/AIK isn’t that great of a double.

Witry as well an option though his assists and goals have dried up recently. Really rouge option would be one of the Djurgården mids - Chilufya, Eriksson or Ulvestad. Stats not great but all of them have their own unique appeal and draw back (not nailed but a big threat, nailed but hasn’t looked superb so far, on pens but lacking in open play). Söderlund has the fixtures but lack bonus points and that’s probably the biggest takeaway from this ramble - target two players who gets plenty of bonus as that is sustainable and more predictable than goals and assists 🙂

Nice picks! I'm playing my last chip in PTB this week personally so hoping to capitalise with a big scorer:

      Dahlberg
      Bjornstrom, Witry, Andersson, Kahl, Lustig
      Vecchia, Besara, Irandust, Larsson
      IKT

      Noring, Karjalainen, 4.2fwd, Berget

Looks great, no objections! 🙂 If you have a spare FT I might have had a look at another DGW mid for Besara but not essential.

None I really like. Could go Ulvestad/sugi I guess. I don't have any money itb.

Cheers Meltens, great tips as always. I'd blown all five of my chips by GW 17 (with no success) so I've thought what the heck and taken a -12 pt hit to have 6 DGW players. It's hit and hope time!

      Dahlberg (DGW)

Witry (DGW), Karlsson (DGW) J Larsson

Seb Larsson (DGW), Irandust (DGW), Vecchia (DGW), Besara

      Karljalainen, Aron Johannsson, Selmani

Seb Larsson will be Captain. I'm just 15 pts behind you and you are always my benchmark so if the gods are with me maybe the -12 hit will pay off.

      Good luck!

I’m all out of chips as well but hoping my -4 to field 11 DGWers will be enough to give me a big green this week! Wildcarded in GW23 to set it up but kept faith in Tank who did what he usually does, betray me 🙂

I have a good feeling about high scores this GW, good luck to you as well!

Keep Larsson (Elfsborg) or go fo another DGW defender? (Maybe Augustinson of Djurgården).

Larsson coming two fixtures are not that good. I was wondering if I should transfer him out, bench him or play Knudsen (other players I have are AC and Nyman).

I have Witry, Bjornstrom, Kahl, and the aforementioned Knudsen in my defense and I have already maxed out on Hacken, AIK and Sirius. I will play the double captain chip.

This may be a very niche question, but any input is welcome. 🙂

The Johan Larsson conundrum is a big question this week, I’m benching but uncomfortably so... He’s got good fixtures to come in my opinion so I’d like to hold on personally!

Augustinsson I had a look at but not overly impressed, might play CB one game and get rested for Käck the next.

Thanks for the feedback, Meltens. I will bench him then and consider other options.

Still considering starting Knudsen or AC. Starting Larsson could be seen as a partial hedge against those using the PTB Chip

          Or maybe AC to Ulvestad?

Late WC team in the making! How does this look?

    Janošević
    Witry - Kahl - Larsson - Ekpolo
    Irandust - Vecchia (VC) - Besara - Larsson (C)
    Johansson - Karjalainen
    (Nilsson - Wålemark - Selmani - Birkfeldt)

Got 4.5 in the bank, and I wonder if I should spend that cash or just save it for upcoming transfers.

Not the best start to PTB. If Holmberg was a mid he would definitely have been in my team too but didn't think he was worth the hit. Oh well...

Also curse you Vecchia! And Mjallby, I hope you get relegated!

Well at least you did not transfer out AC to Ulvestad ten minutes before deadline and then forgot to press the save button. 😉

Ouch! :/ A bit annoyed I sat and really pondered Ulvestad vs Chilufya and in the end went with the latter, but just 8 points in it so far. Hopefully Chilli starts the next one, he’s so attacking

Plenty of yellow card knocking about and a red for big favourite Vecchia!
How are you all faring so far?

I’m feeling quite happy with Irandust cap and 47 (-4) so far without any chips. Single gameweekers could still hurt but 3x AIK (x2...) and another run for the rest (- Vecchia...) feels good.

Hacken cs wipe-out certainly works in my favor as double captained with Irandust and Larsson (Witry vs alternative) vs PTB-chippers. Too early too tell, but annoying to have Ulvestad’s current 13 points staring at me from the bench (forgot to hit save after switching formation to have Ulvestad in play).

37 points not ideal so far, especially having 1CS from PTB defence so far. Need big things from AIK lads. Lots left to play for so staying hopeful.

34 points so far, with Sebastian Larsson (C, and Vecchia (VC). Annoyed that I didn't captain Irandust, but at least I own him.
