Scoutcast Episode 346 – Leicester stars gather Fantasy interest

Joe and Az are joined by Fantasy Football Community’s Holly to look ahead to Gameweek 4 and try to make sense of the previous week’s fixtures.

With Manchester City beaten by Leicester City and West Ham United seeing off Wolverhampton Wanderers, it was one of the oddest Gameweeks that our Scoutcast trio can remember.

Popular captaincy choices Kevin De Bruyne (£11.6m) and Timo Werner (£9.4m) blanking made it a particularly tough week for many, as Az’s rundown of the community’s ‘rough with the smooth’ Gameweek 3 scores reveals.

Many FPL managers need a quick fix after a tricky start to the season – and this is where Leicester’s players may be able to help. Across all outfield positions, the East Midlanders have form and great fixtures on their side. Joe, Az and Holly answer the community’s key questions about the Foxes as they prepare for their favourable run of games.

Midfield is a particular area of concern for Son Heung-min (£9.0m) owners after the Spurs winger suffered an injury setback. The crew consider the best replacements, including some intriguing lower-priced alternatives.

Penalty takers could be top of many FPL managers’ shopping lists. With 20 penalties already this season, the merits of targeting those on spot-kick duties is debated.

Meanwhile, the next four fixtures are considered, Holly chooses a differential, and transfer and captaincy plans are revealed.

Will they take swift action to propel themselves up the FPL rankings?

          Son - Salah

Hey guys, so this is my current team after an 8 point hit this week to bring in vardy barnes and foden on saturday night (before sons injury and vardys hattrick).

      mccarthy steer
      taa justin mitchell taylor vinagre
      son salah barnes foden anguissa
      dcl jimi vardy

Which of the following would you guys do about son.

      A. Hold with current team and move son on next week, benching him this week for taylor away at newcastle.

      B. Bring traore in for anguissa (ive got 2 mil in the bank) for an extra 4 point hit taking my total hit up to 12 points which is obviously huge but could be well rewarded with those wolves and leicester fixtures over the coming weeks.

      C. Bring Mahrez/Greenwood or even Puli/Ziyech (if they are back) for son again for an extra 4 point hit taking my total points hit up to 12 for the week.

I dont mind a hit if i think the player will more than outscore his replacement by 4 points and especially if its over a 2-3 game period like mahrez or traore.

Option D - Wildcard (not keen on this)!

Let me know your thoughts please guys!

What would you change? Davies -> Semede/Reguilon? Save FT?

    McCarthy
    TAA Davies Justin Taylor
    Salah KdB Bruno Podence
    DCL Werner

Button Mitchell Davis Bissouma 0.9m itb, 1 FT

    Which option is better:

    A. Castagne + Anguissa
    B. Justin + Klich

Tough to answer without context because Anguissa is bench fodder and Klich is someone you want to play at that price.

In this context, option A would be starters. Option B would mean 4-3-3 with Mitchell starting

        McCarthy
        Robbo - Justin - Lamptey
        Salah - KDB - Fernandes - Klich
        Jimenez - Ings - Maupay

        B: Forster - Mitchell - Burke - Dunne

Might be the most boring A or B qn but....

    A) Burke (SHU) + Ferguson (CPL)
    B) Stephens (BUR) + Mitchell (CPL)

    Which option is better:

    A. Castagne + Anguissa (4-4-2 with Mitchell/Burke starting)
    B. Justin + Klich (3-4-3)

    Context:

    McCarthy
    Robbo - Justin - Lamptey
    Salah - KDB - Fernandes - Klich
    Jimenez - Ings - Maupay

    B: Forster - Mitchell - Burke - Dunne

    Thanks

Wildcard and trying to find differential
    gone for
    Ederson Ryan
Walker Wan Bissaka Digne Gabriel Dunne
    Mahrez Zaha Townsend Greenwood Aube
    Firmino Lacazette Adams

Thoughts? Have different Liverpool/City coverage to most others which could pay dividends.
Good defenders mean I can play 4 or even 5 defenders on certain weeks which is good because this high scoring madness can't continue.
Really like the look of Arsenal this year, a couple of tough fixtures but then things easing up.
Currently at 1.2 million place but think this could get me into the top 20k by xmas

Obv a windup. Had a play around with a differential WC tho. Mane, Rich and Robbo the only ones (just) above 10% ownership.

      Guaita, 4.0
      Robertson, Laporte, Semedo, Ayling, Lamptey
      Sterling, Mane, Rashford, Barnes, Soucek
      Richarlison, Maupay, Brewster

  8. JURGENAUT

    A) Castagne + Zaha
    B) Robbo + Klich

Which one would you go for and why? Thank you

A because of relative high ownership and especially good fixtures for Zaha.

is it worth a 4 pt hit getting rid of Son and Werner for Mahrez and Jimenez?

yes but you could just do werner to jimi
