2 FTs what will you do:

    A) Ings > Wilson + save 1 FT
    B) A+ Podence > Grealish

i got podence (and thinking of changing to Grealish). I will wait 1 more week as Grealish fixture is bad as well. Podence looked good last game too

I like the look of Podence too so it’s tricky. But if you were thinking of getting rid of him anyway and fancy Bowen who’s fixtures look decent then go for it. Bowen also on Corners and some FKs

Sorry missed that lol. In that case Bowen seems a decent one week punt. Would wait on Lamptey though as I think Zouma over 10 men probably outscores starting Bowen over Podence.

    What to do here?.

    Martinez
    TAA Chilwell Lamptey

    Kane DCL Maupay*
    ___
    Forster Saiss Stephens 3.9

    2 FT 0.4 ITB

Pulisic + Saiss -> Ziyech + Coufal (Latter first sub if Lamptey / Maupay not paying) the obvious move?

Hold off on selling Pulisic, could be back this GW. Saiss to Coufal looks good. FPL should update their flags. Pulisic is 25% chance and he's grand. Ings is 50% and possibly having a knee replacement 😉

Would be ideal not to spend a sideways transfer. 2 FT over IB would be absolute gold! Maupay is another issue though. Might have to ship him. If none of Pulisic, Maupay nor Lamptey plays then I need to take a hit this week.

It's his job! I hear you, but they do little or no training between games in their mad schedule, rest and recovery and some setpieces and tactics. It's what they put their lives, education, etc on hold for when they were kids, playing ball and getting paid for it. I think they love it.

Re. Foden, he came on for the last 10 mins v SHU and was subbed off early midweek. He’s played less minutes than a lot of the others, if anyone replaces him it’s Bilva but I’d like to think he starts

Yes I would bench Dallas this week.
You can seriously never tell with Peps team selection so for me it's a 60/40 that he starts against LPool. I honestly want to move him out of my squad asap but have other fires to out out like Saiss and Jimenez first.

On my WC, Ings injury has forced a rethink. Appreciate your thoughts here

    Martinez - Forster
    Bellerin - Zouma - Coufal - Ayling - Kilman
    Salah - Ziyech - J. Rod - Grealish - Jota
    Kane - Vardy - Bamford

    ITB - 0.0m

Are there 4.5m DF other than Ayling & Coufal that I should be looking at?

Future plan is Wk 10 - Kane and Ziyech become - Aguero/Jesus and Mahrez.

    1. GreennRed
      • 12 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

Vestergard? Nice team. Switch Jota or Bamford, ideally Jota as he's not nailed on, to a 4.5m option and free up cash for your best 11. Kane plus Vardy makes your midfield a bit light.

      1. There Can Be Only One
        • 12 Years
        3 years, 5 months ago

Thanks Greennred, Vestergarrd is 4.6m just 0.1m outside of my budget. But KWP/Vestergaard seem to be an option Leeds/Soton seem to just have crazy defences right now so don't think they're will be too many clean sheets regardless

Bamford is my Jota backup, I've got a feeling that with the huge number of games and the injuries that we have. Jota will play a lot, especially given the form he's in. So I wanted a decent back up for once. I want to give it a few weeks and if its not going right then I can take that 1.5m-2m from either Bamford/Jota and upgrade the MF

I think there’s a very strong chance Werner is given a rest vs Sheff Utd. I don’t normally come out with these sort of things, but was just about to transfer Jimmy out and took a step back.

Werner was on the bench vs Burnley and ended up playing due to Pulisic’s injury.

Pulisic likely to be back for this weekend.

Werner played the full 90 tonight while Abraham, Chilwell and TSilva came off early.

Sheff Utd and Burnley sit deeper so perhaps Frank has identified either of these fixtures to give Werner a bit of a rest.

It’s enough for me to pause before bringing him in tbh.

    1. GreennRed

I think Werner plays 70 and then they’re hoping Puli can finish the game, otherwise CHO will come on for Werner, I had the same concerns as you but with Havertz out and Pulisic maybe out too, Lampard knows he will need a strong attack to break SHU and so he needs Werner and Ziyech, I would still make the transfer

Is bringing in a West Ham defender a waste of a transfer? I’m weighing up Masuaku or Cancelo.

Either will be a backup for James or Lamptey not playing.

Have really liked Cancelo for a while so leaning that way. Saiss out.

    1. GreennRed
      • 12 Years

Hard to know. Hammers kept cleansheets against good opposition, now their fixtures look nicer. Consider Coufal points per game. I think City haven't one decent defender, plenty of good footballers at the back, but their defence is doing a lot better than I thought. Predicting results is a short path to insanity so maybe a defender with a bit of attacking intent when your undecided on two picks is the way to go.

      1. Twisted Saltergater
        • 14 Years

Think you’ve nailed it with the last sentence. Season is too wild to predict clean sheets other than vs the likes of West Brom, Palace, Fulham so trying to get attacking fullbacks.

Chilwell, James, Cancelo, Lamptey, Mitchell looks pretty exciting. Bit of risk too, admittedly.

United should spend a bit of time learning why Solskjaer can get them to win some games and then lose to so-called lesser opposition. Also the board have to question why Pogba wasn't sold years ago, even why they got him for a second time. Solskjaer made some good signings and improved some players he inherited. Has a very decent squad there. Pochettino may not be the answer. Won just one League Cup with a team better than United had during his reign. Also good at improving players but look what Mourinho did to Alli when he arrived at Spurs 'Up your game or your gone'. Conte would be a better choice if they could get him away from Inter. But would need say on everything team-related, no interference from above. Too many vested interests in United don't have the best interests of the club at heart. Changing the coach won't bring back Fergie's glory days. A load of clueless fools on social media asking for Solskjaer to go that think City play at New Trafford.
