Comparing Kane, Son and potential replacements as I plan for Spurs’ fixture swing

Fantasy Premier League managers need to start making a plan for their Tottenham Hotspur assets as their incoming fixture-swing approaches.

Leading the way with their 71 points each, Harry Kane (£11.0m) and Son Heung-min (£9.6m) have been the catalysts for success during the first seven Gameweeks but that may not be true for much longer.

Many of us will be relying on Jose Mourinho’s men yet again this weekend as they travel to face an out-of-form West Bromwich Albion side – but we cannot allow ourselves to get too attached.

From Gameweek 9 it will be a case of form versus fixtures as we see Spurs run into Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in four of the five matches between Gameweeks 10 and 13.  Even though owning both Kane and Son has been almost essential in the early weeks of the season, I definitely think it is time we seriously examine the merits of keeping the pair beyond Gameweek 8.

    Help appreciated guys,

    Martinez
    Lamptey-Dallas-Zouma
    Salah-Son-Grealish-PULISIC
    Wilson-Kane-DCL

    Bench: Soucek, ROBERTSON, Kilman
    1 FT, 0.0M

A: Stick with Pulisic or not?
B: Get rid of Robertson or actually let him sit on the bench for the City game? Considering Chilwell in (double up)

Again this week I am short on time to read and prep, any thoughts appreciated.

    Martinez, Forster
    Robbo, James, Saiss, Justin, Lamptey
    Sterling, Salah,Son, Foden, Burke
    Jimenez, DCL, Bamford

0.1 in the bank and 2 free transfers
    I am thinking about
    A) Saiss out, 5 mil on a non playing defender is not ok
    B) Sterling to KDB, Id like to do this at some point, maybe this week is a good spot?
    C) James not nailed, maybe bring in chilwell, or a defender with good fixtures??

He's ill, not injured, unless I'm missing something. I wouldn't waste transfers on defence right now, GW10 is a good time to bring in City/Leicester. I'm bringing in Castagne and Dias or Cancelo

Would you get in Bamford for Ings?

Leeds score more or less in every game and with Bamford being the talisman, I expect him to quietly tick along.

The funds saved let's me go heavy in midfield with Salah Sterling KDB Hamez.

    McCarthy

    TAA, Justin, Saiss, Keane, Mitchell

    Son, Salah, Podence, Foden, McCarthy

    Kane , Jiménez , DCL

    2FT, 1,0 itb

Wanted to fit in Ziyech for either Podence or Foden and get Zouma in for Saiss, but that will also involve downgrading Jimmy for a -4 and I can’t find any attacker of my likings with Antonio injured.

Also have the exact funds for Foden + Saiss + Jimmy to Fornals + Zouma + Werner
Is that a better option? Is Werner a safe bet after 90 mins in Champions League?

    Thoughts on this:

    Martinez
    Robbo Chilwell Lamptey (Dallas Mitchell)
    Salah Son Puli Grealish (Bissouma)
    (K)ane DCL Bamford

    1FT 0.5itb

    A) Puli to Zaha/Ziyech
    B) Robbo to Zouma
    C) Roll FT
    D) Anything else?

In the same headache as you..

For me holding on to Puli this week could be a good one, as the international break is coming and he'll 100 % be fit after that I reckon.

Leaning more towards B atm (for me it will just be Robbo to Chilwell instead) but same double-up.
Don't see Liverpool defense improving with the vital Van Dijk and Fabinho out

Conclusion: B or possibly C (I'm having Robertson at the bench atm and playing Dallas instead)

      1. Boz
        • 11 Years

I don’t have much faith in him after the IB though. Could have reduced minutes to protect him too.

Robbo is expensive to be getting the odd assist with no CS. Think that might be the way to go
