Lamptey shrugs off injury to start as Maupay and Ryan return for Brighton

Graham Potter continues to perplex Fantasy Premier League managers with yet another interesting Brighton line-up.

The good news for 11.6% of the Fantasy community is that Tariq Lamptey (£4.7m) has shrugged off the muscle injury that he sustained in the defeat to Spurs.

And anyone who kept the faith in Neal Maupay (£6.5m) or Mat Ryan (£4.5m) was rewarded as the pair slot back into their usual positions up-front and in goal.

However, it was Leandro Trossard‘s (£6.0m) to go on a mysterious disappearing exercise for Gameweek 8, the Belgian left out of the matchday squad entirely.

Also absent is Robert Sánchez (£4.5m), despite being picked ahead of Luke Steele (£4.0m) in Gameweek 7.

There is a full Brighton debut for Danny Welbeck (£5.5m) up-front while Pascal Groß (£5.8m) earns a second consecutive start in midfield.

The big news for Burnley is that Ben Mee (£4.9m) is finally back in the team, making his first appearance of the season since recovering from a long-term problem.

He displaces Kevin Long (£4.5m) to sit alongside James Tarkowski (£5.4m) at the heart of Burnley’s back-four.

Brighton and Hove Albion XI (4-1-2-1-2): Ryan; Burn, Webster, Veltman, Lamptey; White; Bissouma, Lallana; Groß; Maupay, Welbeck.

Burnley XI (4-4-2): Pope; C Taylor, Mee, Tarkowski, Lowton; McNeil, Brownhill, Westwood, Brady; Wood, A Barnes.

    A. Barkley & Kane to KDB & Vardy
    B. PVA & Barkley to KDB & 5.0
    C. Lamptey & Barkley to KDB & Lewis

    Which one?

My team looks like a mess next week.

    2ft and 1.5m itb

    What do you suggest?

    Martinez
    Robbo Chilwell Justin Lamptey
    Salah (c) Son Zaha Grealish
    Kane DCL (vc)

Pretty much everyone has a bad fixture.

All my bench is currently injured too
    *Antonio *Mitchel *Stephens

Thanks for the advice in advance

Interesting, didn't consider Martial, looks like too early for him imo and if I sell Kane that will be too much cash itb for nothing

It's not that bad at all. Just forget FPL for the International Break and come back after. It's a perfect week to do nothing and evaluate after for injuries. If everyone is fit, roll FT to prepare for City. That's my plan anyway.

I need a break from FPL anyhow.

Yeah I want to prepare for City but too much deadwood in my team. Currently I might struggle to field 11 every week, not decided on the structure.

Want to make early transfers and have peace of mind if possible.

Podence is a bit like Lamptey tbh, fun to watch. Dangerous player, feels like he could get points anytime. But like Lamptey doesnt seem to get the points. Maybe they need some more time/experience, surprised how quickly people started ditching podence

6th highest scoring defender who started under 5.0. There haven't been many clean sheets anywhere this season. He's integral to Brighton attack already. He's going to get plenty more returns assuming he's fit.

Lamptey has been a bit unfortunate and had to come off early in a couple of games, I know one of them was the clean sheet win at Newcastle where he’d have no doubt got a clean sheet plus bonus

Did Pulisic, Saiss and Foden to Ziyech, Coufal and Grealish for -8 at the last moment.

Pulisic was surely not going to play this week. So him to Grealish and Ziyech was my planned transfer. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted both of them. Only way was to downgrade Saiss. West Ham seem to have good fixtures for the next 3 weeks. Hopefully, the hit pays off.

Not getting a Chelsea defender is a worry. But I can easily downgrade Trent to Chilwell/Zouma if Liverpool keep struggling defensively and he doesn't get attacking returns. Would free up cash for KdB as well.
