Struijk returns to Leeds side as Eze starts for Crystal Palace

Fantasy Premier League defender Pascal Struijk (£4.0m) returns to the Leeds United starting XI as they face Crystal Palace in Gameweek 8.

The versatile option was recently designated as the replacement for Kalvin Phillips (£4.9m) ahead of a Gameweek 6 trip to Liverpool, only to get substituted inside the opening half-hour after a dismal showing.

However, following a 4-1 home defeat to Leicester, Marcelo Bielsa has turned back to Struijk, who comes into the time in the place of Jamie Shackleton (£4.8m).

The main attention from this game is sure to be on the attacking options though with Patrick Bamford (£6.0m) leading the line and yet to blank on the road this season.

Owned by 33.2%, he is the most popular asset at Selhurst Park this afternoon although Wilfried Zaha (£7.4m) is not that far behind him.

Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze (£5.8m) makes his first start since Gameweek 4.

29% of Fantasy managers come into Gameweek 8 with the out-of-position midfielder, who starts up-front with Jordan Ayew (£5.7m) up-front.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; van Aanholt, Dann, Kouyaté, Clyne; Eze, Riedewald, McArthur, Townsend; Zaha, Ayew.

Leeds United XI: Meslier; Dallas, Cooper, Koch, Ayling; Struijk; Harrison, Alioski, Klich, Costa; Bamford.

Fellow owner here, I think Eze massively restricts his output as he’s only ventured forward once beyond him (resulting in the fortunate assist). Also Palace playing two up top doesn’t particularly suit the wingbacks bombing forward

Don't have either 🙂 Rolled an FT to monitor WH & Palace - Like PVA fixtures and Dann has done well for me in past seasons

The Champion's League teams have a hellish winter schedule. Two games a week all the way until January...

Just as well Rashford got a magic "shoulder injury" after the game, should keep him out of internationals and keep him fresh.

Fantasy Football is a funny old game.

If you knew for certain Palace would score 3 goals before HT you'd be hard-pressed not to bring Zaha in - you might even be tempted to captain him. And yet this is the case and he's blanked this far. That's incredibly unfortunate but on the other hand you'd rather be shown Palace have goals in them and creativity elsewhere, not just tied to him.

If he and Eze can form a decent partnership it could lead to more Zaha returns.

Eze looked really good in the Championship last season so it's not as if he is a complete nobody but it's obviously early days. Basically as a Zaha owner it's 100% being viewed as a good thing - it at least points towards more creativity in the team.

Has to be good odds he returns in the 2nd half.

If you were told before the game Palaces goals were from a corner, a free kick and an own goal then I think you’d appreciate Zaha would have little involvement, maybe at the very best you’d be expecting an assist from Zaha winning the kick.

He could easily pop up second half with a brace.

Hopefully not, whether people think it's a joke or not right now, Spurs have a chance at winning the league this year. Best squad they've ever had, and City and Pool have shown weaknesses.

Parking the bus isn‘t necessarily a bad thing at the right time. A point away against rivals is what you need.

Spurs can hardly park the bus at the moment especially vs City, it wont work. Better go all guns blazing, at least until a safe scoreline (altho I thought 3 goals was safe, apparently not).
Jose wont be that naive to try park the bus, need at least a 2/3 goal lead on them to feel safe.

Bale will probably be important in that game, I rekcon he will start (assuming fit ect)

I know they're both in fantastic form but those fixtures are terrible. You quite honestly don't get much worse. Also, we know how Mourinho tends to set up against more difficult teams.

I'll be transferring both out for KDB and Vardy most likely. Its a gamble considering their ownership, but I think it's worth the risk.
