Champions League

Win a PS5, match tickets and FFScout Membership with Champions League Fantasy

The final international break of 2020 is nearing its end and the UEFA Champions League will soon be getting back underway.

We’re at the halfway point of the group stage, with three rounds of fixtures still to come before the elite European club competition takes a winter breather.

And whether you signed up to the official UEFA Champions League Fantasy game ahead of Matchday 1 or are entering a new team ahead of next Tuesday’s deadline, there are prizes to be won.

It’s not just UEFA who are dishing out the rewards for their free-to-play game but us at Fantasy Football Scout, too.

UEFA Champions League final tickets and the new Playstation 5 are the incentives for those topping the overall leaderboard, while we’ll be awarding free Premium Memberships for the UCL Fantasy managers who prosper in our mini-league.

    Which move do you prefer?

    Martinez
    PvA Chilwell* Zouma
    Mo* Son Hamez Grealish
    Kane DCL(c) Bamford

    Bench: Lamptey Vestergaard Stephens
    3.2m ITB, 1 FT

    A) Son > Bruno (my initial plan)
    B) Stephens > Soucek (in order to have an even better bench)
    C) Save and play Lamptey and Vestergaard

Don't buy Justin. He's been a decent pick since the start obviously. But, he's living on borrowed time surely with Castagne & Perreira due back at some point. Plus, Leic have an abundance of options at CB. I don't fancy J-Rod either until I see Everton get back in the groove.

So anyway, I definitely wouldn't play a -12 for that, no

Currently thinking Vassilev to Watkins with the FT.

If Salah is only out for 1GW, is Son worth taking out for a hit? I don't think I want to bring Bruno in so the other option is Ziyech.

Utd are too inconsistent and they only turn up if Bruno is playing well. If I did bring in Bruno, I don't see myself captaining him after GW9: I would rather bring in a City player

All the injuries means people are feeling pressured to select second best options. We see this week just how crucial FTs are going to be as covid continues to wreak havoc. People will be fighting other fires and stuck with players that are ok but not the ones they really wanted

Ie, Robertson rested after playing 120 mins previous game tight hamstring reported

FPL response, his leg fell off, six months out & so on.

Despite being ‘Better’ against spurs they were still for the game week

    2nd for shots conceded
2nd for shots in the box Conceded
    2nd for big chances Conceded
    4th for expected goals conceded

I think they could still get a hammering from United, Could be wrong tho!

OK so I finally activated WC yesterday. How's this looking? Pretty standard, I reckon?

    Martinez, McCarthy
    Dias, James, Coufal, Justin, Lewis
    KdB, Bruno, Ziyech, Grealish, Bissouma
    Kane (or Vardy), DCL, Watkins

leaving £1.5m in the bank to move Bruno to Salah in GW12.

Gone for Dias over Cancelo because I'm going James over Zouma and don't want two rotation risks. Justin and Lewis can cover the odd one premium being benched, but not two.

Only other option is to move Kane to Vardy and beef up Lewis, so please what do you think?:

    A) Kane and Lewis
    B) Vardy and 5.0m defender

Ha yeah this must be the template WC!

Yeah had McCarthy since GW1, Martinez since GW3 and they've been doing me proud, but it's probably unnecessary money in McCarthy with Martinez's run isn't it. Will free up cash to improve defence anyway.

Would you do Son -> Fernandes for a -4 this GW?
Thinking of doing it for the captaincy.

Grealish + DCL the other capt options. The thing is I may end up going for KDB soon from Fernandes so not even sure it is worth the hit.

Wouldn't say he's due, more likely the early season goal glut was the anomaly that wasn't sustainable. Son also has 2 goals in 8 games against City in the league, it just so happens one of them was last season.
