Good looking team to me. I'm with you, Salah + KDB + Bruno, is the way forward. I don't rate Zaha as a pick, and fixtures dont last, if you can't afford Ziyech then I would suggest swapping to have a 3rd budget forward, Bamford a better pick than Zaha. Watkins a better pick than Zaha. Like the Antonio pick, barring injury news

I'm not sure if I'm being short sighted but I only see Bruno as a good option for GW9. Beyond that GW I don't see the appeal especially with Utd being inconsistent. Can someone provide some arguments to bring in Bruno as a long term option.

The next two fixtures are pretty good especially considering Bruno's good away form (I really hate H/A stats but Bruno's is quite a large sample size by now so maybe there is some truth...) Southampton then West Ham is not bad at all.

he has consistently averaged about 8ppg give or take a point for almost a calendar year, regardless of United's form. He has several routes to points. He is the cheapest premium option

What more do u need to know. He is the very definition of set and forget and anyone who has owned him since the start has owned a very high scoring player who they never even have to think about.

This. See so many people talking about 'getting him in' for certain game weeks.

First name on the team sheet alongside Salah.

I can afford 2 from Salah, KDB & Bruno at any one time.

Ideally, if the other mid and low priced options are doing okay, why not just jump between them?

Can swap around and maximize their fixtures and form, captaining whoever looks best that week

I started the season with Bruno on my bench then got rid on wc gw-3 , massive mistake which cost me loads should have stuck the plan, he’s a great option

No reason that in an ideal world you shouldn't, but right now between the usual unreliable form and non fixtureproof nature of cheaper players, injuries and now COVID, luxury transfers seem something of a dream

I bought Bruno early after he joined united and from memory i don't think I've ever had to transfer him out.

Pretty ace that given the current climate

Came in last season and averaged the highest Pts Per Game, this season is 4th highest PPG. he's averaged this over 21 games now. To me, he's proven now he is not a flash in the pan, he is consistently Utds best player, and that is going to continue for the rest of the season.

I don't care who he's playing next, is his form better away from home (he didn't have bad Home form last season), it's a mistake to always look at things in a fish bowl, look at the bigger picture with players. Bruno is a set and forget option, along with Salah, and KDB, in my opinion. Proven to get 200+pts in a season (Bruno will this year easily)

He’s actually a good player and equal points-per-million to Salah.

He is not as regular in returns as Salah. MU will horrify you. Penalties and lucky goals are not as fun as Salah at his best.

Don’t watch the games, just enjoy the returns is how to own Bruno.

Plus you get almost 2M to put elsewhere

To each his own, dude. For me, MU is horror football and unwatchable.

I don't blame Bruno, there are 10 other players on the field. Hilariously, MU actually paid more for Fred than for Bruno and more than Liverpool paid for Salah.

Salah has some luck, that's true. Shoots Pens too.

      A player:
      - who provides returns in an inconsistent team (imagine if the team starts performing well)
      - Can score goals yet isn't selfish to provide assists.
      - On penalties on a team that wins a lot of penalties.
      - Has a great record in epl

If you bought at 12.0, you can sell now at 12.2

If he dropped to 12.3, your selling price would be 12.1 therefore you lose 0.1 if you let him drop.

I think that’s how it works.

    3. Iceball

He is 12.4 now so you can sell him at 12.2.
If he drops you can sell him at 12.1 and if you want him back he will be 12.3 (If not dropping again).

To me, its not about the lost money on Salah, its that if he's back after 1 GW, and you get him back in, you're wasting 2 free transfers to have somebody else for a 1 week punt. Total waste

    5. FantasyHero
      • 7 Years

If dropping salah, drop him for 3-4 gws otherwise waste of transfer.
Price wise you'll get 12.2 now and he will likely drop to that in a couple gws

James is obviously still a risk, but could be high reward - Is involved in a lot of what Chelsea do going forward.

    Martinez
    Robbo, Chilly, KWP
    Salah, Son, Ziyech, Grealish
    Kane, DCL, Maupay

    (Steer, Dallas, 4.5m, 3.9m)
2 ft, 0.3m in the bank.

    A) Steer + Maupay to 4m + Watkins
    B) Maupay to Antonio, Robertson to anyone
    C) Maupay to Antonio, Son to 9.9m
    D) Son to Bruno, Robertson to Dias/Cresswell
    E) Son to Bruno, Maupay to Antonio, Robertson to Dias/Cresswell (-4)

Trent -> Cancelo already done. Got 4.4 Mil ITB. Have Foden, Burke, Wilson, Salah, and Mitchell so in a bit of a sticky situation as I imagine a lot of others are.

If Wilson is confirmed out, sensible moves?

    GW10 - Burke -> Ziyech (-4)

    GW11 - Foden & Son -> Soucek/Riedewarld & KdB (-4)

Fixture congestion is mad in December. So many games. I did want Cancelo but with Zinchenko and Mendy fit I think he's a risk. Is Maguire the safer pick as he's captain?

United have the best defensive stats from the last 4 gws despite facing Arsenal, Everton, and Chelsea - even beating Manchester City defensively (xGC).

Over the next 5 United face WBA, sou, whu, MCI and shu.

Have to think Maguire is safer from rotation than most?

    1. thegaffer82

Maguire is safer than Cancelo... but I’d still rather get Cancelo.

Just have to take the odd rest on the chin. But he’s looked really good this season, so he must be ‘first choice’

I would get Cancelo, but make sure that you have a playing bench. The great news about Pep Roulette is that Cancelo will be less likely to make cameo appearances than somebody like Foden.....

    Is this new? :

I transferred out Ziyech on wildcard (value 8.1). Confirmed and done a few days ago.

    He's now worth 8.2

If I bring him back in I can get him at 8.1 still.

Is that a new feature for wildcards? Normally I always thought once sold that was it for prices.

I've had for 6 weeks since my wildcard. He looked a good prospect when I bought him as he was starting games due to city injuries. Increasingly looking like he will be benched more often than not. I'm looking at upgrading to bruno and then downgrading kane to a 6m striker. Feels like better value.

With this amount of injuries and covid cases added with normal flu cases snd food poisonings and police arrests etc everyone should forget long term planned transfers.

Is anybody feeling particularly smug with their team as these bombs are taking out entire battalions of highly-owned players?

Only Salah, Mitchell and possibly Rashford for me (so far) have 2 FT. Probably keeping muy sh*t defence.

Thats just rubbish! Thats the Egyptians playing games with Liverpool to justify a trip back to the UK! I hope the UK authorities will be on top of this.

International football happening right now is a farce.

No point worrying about FPL at the moment. I just hope the players make it through this ridiculous season in one piece. Going to put players I like in my team and that's about it.

Werner has now scored 7 goals in his last 5 games, yet people are still sleeping on him here ...

Got him in last week. He could have had a hatrick. Most people picking Ziyech instead.

Think most people aren't struggling for striking options. Kane has been fire, Vardy don't well, cheap options scoring. Don't think people are sleeping so much as there has been no reason to move to him. 7, 7, 2 since his haul isn't really going to force any hands

Only 3 FWD slots .. currently have Werner, Kane and Bamford ... but no Everton for their visit to Fulham and then no Vardy for their Fulham match - just wish we had more FWD slots

Nice brace from him last night

Think he's a good option.. but what puts me off is Chelsea are still playing him LW. While Pulisic is out, they dont have anyone better to take over LW, and Pulisic is constantly injured..

When Werner starts playing CF every week and the fixtures change I will be definitely take notice.

Werner always drifts left, regardless of position on paper. You might aswell call chelseas recent 4-3-3, a 4-3-1-2, with Werner and Tammy up front, and Ziyech in behind.

Much like how Werner played in a two man striker formation with Schick or Poulsen last season at Leipzig - a season in which he scored 28.

I find it surprising that more people don't subscribe to this school of thought. Cancelo has vastly superior attacking threat and baseline bonus so in the event of a clean sheet, Dias gets 6 and Cancelo gets 7 or 8, in addition to any goals or assists. A single goal, just the one, is enough to cover a blank against a Dias CS. I feel people just don't like seeing blanks and would rather have 6,6,6 than 6, 12, 1 even though the latter is actually more points

Cancelo has the ceiling for most points, but Dias is more nailed. For the next 3 I'd go Cancelo but long term Dias.

Which option would you go for?

    Martinez | Forster
PvA Lamptey Taylor | Justin Lewis
Mane KdB Bruno X | Berge
    Vardy Richarlison X

    A) Grealish + Brewster
    B) Soucek + Watkins

So as a product of missing the last deadline I still have Pulisic (was going to get rid for Ziyech, oops), any chance he makes the next game?

      Presuming he's out do I...
      (a) move him to Bruno before he goes up again (exact cash)
      (b) do the original Ziyech move (enabling Son -> KDB for free)

Who do you prefer out of Soucek and Armstrong? Quite close in the stats with Armstrong more likely to assist and Soucek to score.

So my dilemma is Salah, Chilwell & potentially Saiss. I have 1FT.

Provisional plan (which can obviously change due to more internationals and news as it arrives):
      - Bench Salah & Chilwell, remove (Saiss & Mitchell) for (Targett & Coufal) for -4.

      Would look like this:

      McCarthy
      Coufal - Justin - Lamptey - Targett
      Son - Grealish - Zaha
      Kane - Werner (C) - DCL (VC)

      B: Forster - Salah - Chilwell - Stephens

Decent provisional team to put out for GW9 to get it over and done with?

I will wait till Friday night/Saturday morning to make as informed decisions as possible.

      Cheers all 🙂

A...but if Salah is out, have a 1 week punt on someone like Rashford, if fit or Mane etc, then get him back next week. That’s my plan anyhow.. 12.4 too much to sit on bench and I think he’ll drop at least .1 soon, hopefully .2 by next week to get back
