If I didn't have DCL and Hamez already then I'd be on Rich, don't want the triple/sideways transfers though.

I’m looking at a replacement for Zaha from GW 12 onwards but looks like their fixtures change again and already have DCL.

I've still got James and DCL and looking forward to the next few weeks. Hoping that having Richarlison back and the good fixtures will give them back some swagger.

    Free hit time.

    McCarthy / Forster

Maguire / Kilman / Charlie Taylor / Veltman / Dunne

Bruno / De Bruyne / Ziyech / Grealish / James Rodriguez

    Cavani / Werner / Watkins

If I thought he'd get any significant game time I'd think it was a good differential shout but I can't see Ole giving him more than 5-10 minutes, think for a free hit you could make that money in a more useful manner for your team

Hmmm I'd probably go with the person below and maybe downgrade him to improve your defence, or if you're leaning one way or another for the Spurs v City game pick one and downgrade Watkins or Ziyech as you have Grealish and Werner

I think you would be better off with Richarlison instead of Cavani

Interesting week to FH - can see the logic with so many injuries around.

Definitely downgrade 1 attacker as you can't playall 8. I'd put another Everton in there on a free hit; maybe Digne or DCl/Rich over Cavani - maybe even both. Personally I'd have Son over KDB this week - I think Mou will play it really tight, but Son as likely as anyone to nick something. Che DEF also worth a go if you can.

Any news on the availability of Coady and Rashford for the weekend?

    1. caldracula
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 4 months ago

Coady has had to self isolate after being in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 but he returned two negative tests himself. By the time of the Wolves game he will be in contention to play. Rashford missed out on international duty due to an injury picked up in the last game but sounds like another ‘international injury’ so I’d think he’d also be fine.

Rashford did meet up with the England squad but then got sent home because of his injury - so no a IB injury and possibly a bit more serious ... concerned that he wont play

looking to get 11 out this week, will involve a hit in removing Saiss (non playing) and Brewster (flagged but also not very good). This means i can bench Mo

    Saiss replacement:
    1. Coufal
    2. Target

    Brewster replacement:
    A: Watkins
    B: Antonio

What are people doing with Wolves defensive assets? Barring any further barrage of injuries or covid cases (which I suppose are inevitable at some point again soon) in the next couple of weeks I'll be tempted to get rid of Semedo considering Wolves' fixtures and his price but I can't tell with Wolves as they sometimes prefer the slightly bigger games.

Hmmm I was looking at Robbo to Dias or Cancelo (although I'm wary of rotation with the latter with Mendy and Zinchenko on the mend), maybe this would make more sense and I could manage then to fit in someone like PVA as well. Thanks!

Holding Semado for now, it would be nice to to move him for Cancelo but I also have double spurs so that’ll probably be the priority and I’m not sure Semado to a city def is worth a hit ?

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 3 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

I definitely wouldn't do it this week or for a hit. I'm also not completely sold on City defence either but they look like they've solidified recently and just before the fixture swing and I'm not really looking at many other teams where I'd be any bit confident about CS so it's probably the best option. I'm looking okay for this week currently (as long as nothing else major happens) and am hoping to hold my FT for next week as I've got a lot of players I'm looking at bringing in but I'm very undecided on who I want to let go of and think I need this week to help me decide on players like Son, Fornals, James Rodriguez, upgrading Brewster, etc. If I get stuck I don't mind hanging onto him for an extra week or two though as I know he'll play.

That’s my thinking exactly and wolves are still a good defence

He’s been unlucky not to return going forward and I’m backing him for a goal or assist soon

I like it. Very similar to mine below, just different £4.5ish defenders. For Salah i'm thinking along the lines of DCL & Bruno to £6m striker & Salah in a couple of weeks but that could easily change.

      Martinez
      Chilwell, Cancelo, Coufal, Justin, Lamptey
      Ziyech, KDB, Grealish, Bruno, Soucek
      DCL, Watkins, Vardy

Are they though? I mean ok yes they are but they didn't exactly roll over in their last game against West Ham, and Everton on a run of 3 defeats aren't in the best form themselves.

      1. Flair
        • 3 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

From GW5-8 Fulham have over 6 xGA - overperforming with 4 goals conceded - which is top 4 despite a very generous fixture run of West Ham, West Brom, Palace and Sheff Utd. Richarlison is also a crucial part of this Everton offense, especially with his replacements, so I believe the offense will significantly improve. I back Everton to do very well this weekend.

Ultimately, it came down to this. Do I believe DCL will score? The answer was yes. I'm happy to take a cool 6-9 points - hopefully - and move onto the next ones. I'm not even close to as confident on Mane too.

Really doesn't matter. If you are deciding to keep him it's because you've hedged your bets that it'll be one game (probably correctly) and his price adjustments are not important for you in that decision making process

Yeah it’s pretty bad, you only need one GK, preferably Martinez and then look to get a Saints DEF to rotate with your other defenders. Tight call between Dias and Cancelo but both will be good options. Jota could be good but not sold on him myself. Mahrez and Havertz need to go, KDB/Sterling from city and Werner/Ziyech from chelsea. Wouldn’t have Adams with so many other options up top.

I completely disagree tbh, I think since Ziyech has been in the team he’s made a massive impact on helping to finish teams off with his creative play. I wouldn’t even consider Havertz and option but fair play if you prefer him.

I like to go with Havertz hes nailed and have the chance to outscore Zyiech
And if he disappoints in the next 2 or 3 weeks i would switch to Zyiech
And about City i think Mahrez will be the main man, sterling out of form, KDB is playing so deep

You sure you didn't buy him at 4.6 in the first place
If you sold him on a WC (and saved) and then buy him back (on the same WC) his price should be 4.8

I bought him at 4.5 for GW1! If I include him on WC (not sold him yet) he is 4.6! Can anyone else clarify then?

    2. Miguel Sanchez

Has always been this way, need to be careful selling players on a WC you have accumulated value in that you may want to bring back in within the WC.

      1. RAFA THE GAFFA
        • 7 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

I haven’t sold him though. I just took him out when tinkering. I have even hit the WC button. He costs 4.6 in my team now

        1. HashAttack
          • 7 Years

When you try taking him out you get 4.6M added to your ITB ... if you put him back in (all without saving) then he shoud cost you 4.6M again

Otherwise you could make a lot of money on a WC - e.g. I could take Son out and get 9.3 then put him back in at 9.0 and have magically made 0.3M ... in fact it wouldn't even need to be a WC - that would be so wrong !

He's now 4.8m. You bought him at 4.5m, so his price is now 4.6m for you.

It all makes sense. If you sold him that's when you'd have a problem and wouldn't be able to buy him back.

      1. RAFA THE GAFFA
        • 7 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

Ok so he is 4.6 and not 4.5. So it’s the selling price not the purchase price when building a WC. Did not know that at all! I don’t think others commenting here know that either

        1. Camzy
          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Nah. You're always working with your sell price not price you bought your players at. A later wildcard has the benefit of having more money to work with. The problem is, building that value is usually from an early WC.

    4. Klaren
      • 6 Years
      3 years, 4 months ago

He is 4.8 at the moment so your selling price is 4.6 and that is also the cost as long as he is in your team (until his price changes).

      1. RAFA THE GAFFA
        • 7 Years

In other words, that 0.1 is also reflected in your team value as an additional 0.1 so it doesn't actually cost you any more than he initially did.

    5. Long ago I drew a walrus
      • 13 Years

As all the peeps above have mentioned Justin's current price is 4.8, the fact that you bought him for 4.5 is irrelevant because the selling price of 4.6 already takes that into account. So if you remove Justin from your team, even when tinkering, you get 4.6 from him so it makes sense that if you put him back in he's also 4.6. Otherwise, you'd be removing a player for 4.6 and getting him back for 4.5 which is arbitrage (free money) and breaks the system.

Yeah it all makes sense. Just didn’t think of it like that. I’m not sure others realise that too.

IF Chilwell is fit and IF no other players drop, would you just do Salah >> KDB here for free? Justin comes in for Saiss if benched again.

    McCarthy
    Chilwell*, Saiss, Cresswell
    Salah*, Son, Ziyech, Rodríguez, Grealish
    Kane, DCL
    (Nyland, Mitchell*, Justin, Davis)

If you sold Salah, would you want him back as soon as he is fit?

In that case, wait till Friday, if confirmed out you could go KDB.

Cheers mate. Other option is Bruno then jump on Salah and KDB on WC

    Free hit time

    Martinez
    Coufal Maguire Digne
    Fernandes (C) Mane Ziyech Grealish
    Martial Werner Richarlison

    Williams James(4.3) (Bran)

I have enough for chilwell but fancy Digne this week, also could Martial to DCL and Dbl Everton attack, would also allow Coudmfal to Cancelo/PVA

Nice, I like it. Not sure on Martial though.

I’m not either, but he looked good mid-week, I could get Jesus if I downgrade Digne to Coufal/PVA

Jesus away at Spurs? I'd rather have DCL.

Be more tempted to get Watkins or DCL instead of Martial

Coudmfal! .. .think PVA is a good option this week, Burnley haven't scored in their last 4 matches

Why do they do the 50% equation for price rices? Why not just go up .1 and you sell and buy back for the same price - serious question

it would make transfers in and out too easy. with this method you have to assess whether its worth a transfer if you'll lose money and then want that same player back in a week or two.

also helps to stop people having exactly the same team as a consequence of people having money tied up in players and being nervous to lose that money

It's good for the game ... I'm not happy that all my players with increases have gone up an odd number
It also means that you can absorb price drops without affecting SV

Team value would be too high for everyone and would make the game a lot easier , I quite like it the way it is.
