Calvert-Lewin and Bamford the Fantasy focus as Everton host Leeds

Everton’s Gameweek 10 meeting with Leeds is a tale of two forwards as far as Fantasy Premier League managers are concerned.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.9m) and Patrick Bamford (£6.1m) are owned by 60.9% and 35% of teams respectively and, unsurprisingly, bot start for their respective sides at Goodison Park.

While Leeds have gone with an unchanged XI from their 0-0 draw with Arsenal, Carlo Ancelotti has been forced into some alterations for Everton.

He sticks with the 3-4-2-1 shape used in the 3-2 win at Fulham but replaces the injured Lucas Digne (£6.2m) with Tom Davies (£5.3m) at left wing-back.

Alex Iwobi (£5.9m) holds onto his right wing-back role while Mason Holgate (£4.8m) comes into captain the side from centre-back, in for Yerry Mina (£5.5m).

Leeds’ unchanged set-up means FPL defender Stuart Dallas (£4.5m) is likely to play in central midfield once again, with Ezgjan Alioski (£4.4m) around to cover him at left-back.

Fresh from hitting the woodwork against Arsenal, it’s a second consecutive start at right-midfield for Raphinha (£5.4m) at the expense of Hélder Costa (£5.5m).

Everton XI (3-4-2-1): Pickford; Keane, Holgate, Godfrey; T Davies, Allan, Doucouré, Iwobi; Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin, Rodríguez.

Leeds United XI (4-1-4-1): Meslier; Alioski, Cooper, Koch, Ayling; K Phillips; Harrison, Dallas, Klich, Raphinha; Bamford.

Would you get KdB in for Son tonight before the price rise?

Money isn't an issue now. But I will need it to get Salah in in GW12

I was leaning towards waiting till the midweek CL games are done myself. Looks like I'd do that. Hopefully, I don't miss another price rise.

Expect Salah will be on 12.3 by GW12 ... I'm expecting to get the money by downgrading DCL to Antonio or Wilson

Yeah, that's my plan as well! Just not sure that with all the price changes whether that would be enough. I may have to downgrade Ryan to Forster and go with just one keeper. Not the worst thing. But it may mean too many hits or I may have to use the WC

    What to do?

    A. Son -> KdB and play Lewis (avl) and Coufal (MUN)

    B. Upgrade Mitchell to a premium and bench one of the above 2 defenders.

DCL is a bit boring now as he's at best a rank maintainer. You're not going to rise up the ranks with him but you need to have him to avoid rank dropping like a stone

Not making any transfers yet, but say if Sterling plays 90 mins midweek would you do this?

Ayling and Sterling to Lewis and KDB (-4)

(0.1 off Sterling to KDB, which is why I'd need to bring in Lewis at 4.3)

What the f#ck do we do with Sterling now? You would be afraid he will start against Fulham and go on a rampage. KDB seems to be the only guaranteed route into City's attack. Don't fancy taking a 4 point hit to do it for next week though.

I will start him v Fulham in hope but I doubt the starting lineup will be any different than today sadly

Regardless of midweek I'll be holding Cancelo and then then maybe do straight swap to Dias for GW13. Worth another roll against FUL and then away to UTD the clean sheet chances are slimmer anyway.

Mahrez with a hat-trick, Torres scoring and looking in excellent form, even Foden has been one of the best players for City and has a track record of home starts.

It's like blind faith trusting Sterling vs Fulham. He'll probably start but there's so much uncertainty over a 11.5M asset...

Fulham looks a perfect game for Sterling tbh but I think KdB is more urgent.

Chill out a bit mate. The best option for now is to hold him for Fulham.
      Then Swap for Salah perhaps.

With the City midfield you cannot predict the points. Sterling could have a bad game and still end up getting 2 tap ins

Regardless of security of starts, he hasn't looked good and has pretty poor stats.

If you keep for Fulham or not (I would, probably) long term he has to go I think. Too many good mid options to be wasting time with him

      1. Flair
        • 3 Years

That's the issue. Even if I keep him for this week I'll want him out the next or as soon as possible. On the other hand I'm happy keeping KDB all season and trust him more for the captaincy, especially with penalties.

Have stuck with Sterling all these weeks at the expense of not owning Bruno and Son, so I could have him for this week and beyond

Seems to be a common theme with Sterling missing out on the huge hauls.

Every Burnley match, that Watford thumping etc.

To be fair he's been in plenty of thumping too - but the games you want him for, sometimes just doesn't turn up.

Mahrez and Torres started vs Spurs

Sterling and Foden started in UCL

Mahrez and Torres started vs Burnley

Could be a straightforward yo-yo rotation from Pep on the wings. First time since forever that he's had four wingers that HE considers equally useful
