Fantasy Premier League managers could be forgiven for turning a blind eye to the final match of Gameweek 10’s Saturday schedule.

It pits the division’s bottom two sides together at the Hawthorns in an encounter that carries very little Fantasy relevance.

The fact that the most popular asset from either West Bromwich Albion or Sheffield United is non-playing goalkeeper David Button (£4.0m) speaks volumes.

It is Rhian Brewster (£4.5m) who sits second in that race, his 6.2% ownership roughly 14 percentage points behind Button’s and he does not make a start tonight either.

For the second match in a row, the former Liverpool striker is chosen on Chris Wilder’s bench, the Sheffield United boss preferring Oli McBurnie (£5.7m) and Oliver Burke (£4.4m) up-front.

That means the most fashionable starter at the Hawthorns is John Egan (£4.8m), chosen only by 2.9% of Fantasy managers, just ahead of Aaron Ramsdale (£4.8m) on 2.8%.

With the Blades facing Leicester and Southampton in Gameweeks 11 and 12 and Slave Bilic’s Baggies preparing to face Callum Wilson‘s (£6.5m) Newcastle and Manchester City between now and Gameweek 13, Fantasy managers are more likely to be watching how poor the respective defences are tonight rather than looking for specific assets to scout.

West Bromwich Albion XI (5-3-2): Johnstone; Townsend, Bartley, Ivanovic, Ajayi, Furlong; Gallagher, Sawyers, M Pereira; C Robinson, Grant.

Sheffield United XI (3-5-2): Ramsdale; K Bryan, Egan, Basham; Lowe, Fleck, Norwood, Berge, Baldock; McBurnie, Burke.

Lessons Learned from FPL Gameweek 10

Selling Ziyech for KdB and .1 short due to magical KdB rise.

Question Is, do I sell Brewster (4.5) for Delap (4.4), or sell Mitchell (4.0) to Douglas (3.8)

Reasoning behind dropping Brewster is it lets me possibly get Nkounkou in for Mitchell. His no show today has me slightly concerned but he should start at some point. It wasn’t pretty today on Everton’s left side

Brewster or Mitchell to make way for the big man?

    1. Baps Hunter

I'd keep Brewster. He at least has potential. Or is Nkounkou decent long term asset (haven't been following injury situation there)?

      1. Clintymints
        • 16 Years
        5 years, 10 days ago

Brewster Gona get the 1 or a week too and mins.

Reckon Nkounkou should be in and was surprised today. If he gets regular mins with Digne out he could be good. Everton not great with 3 cbs on the pitch today. Iwobi didn’t convince either and every team will target it. Delph was an improvement though.

It currently Makes sense to drop the lad who doesn’t play anymore - Mitchell, but I’d rather Nkounkou over Brewster if he does get the spot

I've just checked your team you could do Son to KdB this week & KdB to Salah next week
      Both will be playing Fulham
You also need to sort out Mitchel & Brewster but not for lower priced non-playing players

      1. Clintymints

Yep thx for looking that’s option no.2

I do have Jota and a mf of KdB Bruno Jota Grealish and Son seems tasty. No Salah but maybe in for 12?

Just good value in Son at the minute and lots invested. Son and Kane debate is strong both are not needed and I’d rather drop Kane at the minute

Not really a fan of fighters that are past their prime getting into the ring but in this case i am pretty interested.

I think Tyson should have too much for Jones but that said Roy was also a great pro and anything could happen really.

The other fight is a real pick em and is a more important fight at heavyweight as the winner will be making a case for a shot at the title in the near future.

I think Dubois will take beating but Joyce is a bad man and could drag him into deep water if he survives the early rounds.

Blades 100% going down, totally useless.
They couldnt score last seaosn but at least they could defend, now they cant do either, they thought Brewster would save them, but clear Donkey.

Brewster was the only player who looked like he wanted to play ; Wilder has to go or they will sink like a stone. He's done a great job but when you're in a hole like this there's no getting out.

They've had a few defensive issues this season , Henderson a big loss ,Lundstram only a bit part player with the team only scoring 4 goals in 10 games huge pressure on Brewster

They are playing better football compared to some of the other relegation contenders and just can’t finish from the chances they create. But despite the lack of quality, it’s unlikely they’ll continue missing chances at the current rate.

    Thoughts on Bamford to Wilson?
No other issues at the moment so thinking about it. Bamford doesn't seem to be clinical enough. I know he's nearly matching Wilson for points at the moment but Newcastle have decent fixtures coming.

Wilson is the better player but Leeds create much much more and are the better team. Would keep Bam until he loses his place.

I took out Jimenez this week and debated these two right up until deadline and went for Bamford, so there you go
I don’t like the fact Wilson doesn’t get many chances but you can’t argue about his returns
