Salah returns to Klopp’s starting XI and carries captaincy hopes of millions

The penultimate fixture of Gameweek 15 sees Liverpool defend their 66-match unbeaten league run at home against a West Bromwich Albion side led by the last manager to taste success at Anfield.

Sam Allardyce, whose Crystal Palace side were victorious on Merseyside in April 2017, takes charge of the Baggies for the second time today.

Kick-off is at 16:30 GMT.

The headline team news sees the most-captained player of Gameweek 15, Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) return to the Liverpool starting line-up after his benching last weekend.

The Egyptian was transferred in by over 500,000 Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Saturday’s deadline, swelling his ownership figure to over 45%.

Around 2.4 million FPL bosses handed him the armband for this fixture, with just over 100,000 of us using their Triple Captain chip on FPL’s most expensive asset.

Curtis Jones (£4.4m) is also recalled to the Reds’ team, with the benched Takumi Minamino (£6.0m) and the absent Naby Keita (£5.2m) making way.

Keita misses out with a “fitness issue”.

Allardyce’s only change from the 3-0 home defeat by Aston Villa is an enforced one.

Callum Robinson (£5.4m) returns in place of Jake Livermore (£4.7m), who is suspended.

Matheus Pereira (£5.6m) is available again after serving his own three-match ban and is among the substitutes.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Fabinho, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Robertson, Jones, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

West Brom XI: Johnstone, Furlong, Gibbs, Ajayi, Robinson, Phillips, Diangana, Gallagher, Sawyers, O’Shea, Grant.

Neto or Podence? Which one will get more points over 4GWs? Is there any difference in xP?

Yet again the wrong sub choices made this week. Played Konsa instead of Soucek..
Story of my season really and just shows it’s not just about what players you have in your team, your subs bench and captain choices are where a lot of the points are won and lost in this game

You are not competing against the average, but average elite managers. If they are below average this GW it's ok dor you to be too.

Unless ofc you are an average player and your goal is to stay in that bracket.

Livefpl ranks system breakes it down properly.

Van Dijk is their best player, there’s a reason why they’ve had hiccups this season compared with last. Also now Gomez and Matip being out makes their defence not worth it imo.

    A) Kane (FUL) & (LEE) -4pts
    B) Vardy (Cry) & (New)

Who wins? Would probably captain either one this week too.

I prefer Vardy this week as Palace have been tosh lately and he is better away. Can see Fulham sitting deep. Defo prefer Kane over Vardy for Leeds though. Any truth in this Vardy being rested rumour?

    Cheers

Have same decision today with -4 either way. Want Vardy for FH18/DGW19, but want Kane for FUL, LEE.
Look forward to seeing some thought provoking answers to your question

Yeah I want Vardy got DGW, although Kane has a decent SGW fixture that week, so would decide last minute, esp if it is for -4.

If there is even a whiff of a rest for Vardy this GW then that settles it, Kane.

Now just need to decide if getting him in this week for Fulham is worth a -4 as need to bin KdB so requires DCL & KdB to Kane and Raphinha (probs) with some £ left to get Robbo for the DGW

Think it might be the best time to redistribute De Bruyne's funds

    Martinez
    Taylor - Dallas - James
Salah - Fernandes - Son - De Bruyne - Grealish
    Bamford - DCL
    (Peacock-Farrell) (Coufal, Brewster, Mitchell)

    2 FT - 0.4 ITB

Maybe De Bruyne + Mitchell to Soucek and Robertson

Which leaves me with a 4-4-2 for next week

    Martinez
    Taylor - Dallas - James - Robertson
    Salah - Fernandes - Son - Grealish
    Bamford - DCL
    (Peacock-Farrell) (Soucek - Coufal - Brewster)

I will then look to upgrade Brewster and other parts of my team for GW19 with a look to FH in 18

    Any other ideas though?
