With one eye on Gameweek 17 and the other on the Double Gameweek, Az looks at some low-owned FPL players to in his latest Pro Pundits piece.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas (even under strange circumstances) and are looking forward to the New Year and 2021.

I’m not going to focus this article on my team as Mark and I will be discussing what’s going wrong for me in our next episode of FPL BlackBox.

Instead, I’m going to present some differentials ahead of the upcoming Double Gameweek. I’m building my side out with the Free Hit in Gameweek 18 in mind, which leaves me free to plan who to have in place ready for Gameweek 19 – how exciting!

      Yes.

      No. City have resumed training so very likely to be on. Only other risk is Fulham. Not much news on them yet but I’d expect it to go on as well but we shall see.

            How were they lucky to stay in the league last year? They didn’t finish 17th - and actually played with some passion and determination. Very good in some games too

          To be honest not at all surprising. As you say no recruitment and a one dimensional manager which the rest of the PL have found out. Personally I don't think that the injuries have made much difference . Very poor strikers and no midfield creativity is the real problem. Championship players excelling themselves for one season but now the harsh reality is that they just aren't good enough for the PL.

            True... No JOC and him being out for the season is massive. But tbf we still haven't conceded loads... Just haven't scored :/, but mousset out for a while at the start, berge now injured for a while. And generally just been quite unlucky but you do create your own luck and we don't create anything

      Nice work mate, only managed 61 on my WC, KDB and Son coupled with Mo (C) didn't help although I'm sure there were a few far worse off than that.

    what a nightmare December. plumetted from 100k to over 1m! No Bruno plus the worst luck have really done me, could argue I've made my own bad luck by not having Bruno to be fair.

    question is do I wildcard or not with so much uncertainty over Covid in squads that could impact teams after gameweeks have passed or ride it out? free hit 18, bb in 19. don't think many if any rivals will go with that strategy so could work. but it could go horribly wrong!

      Maybe wait it out with so much uncertainty! Also there are some low scoring gameweeks with so much fixture congestion (1-1 is a popular scoreline) so maybe just wait and see how it falls out.

      I think Rodgers really trusts him and he's very versatile. Could see him playing on the left or centre at times.

      It's amazing to see how much he's developed since looking shaky at the start of the season.

        Given how close together their games are, and Kun returning from injury I guess its a pipe dream to expect him to start 18 if he starts 17. Totally depends on this weekend I guess, 60 mins or less this weekend is probably a good sign.

    I know some of us here have had mixed gameweeks so may the fantasy gods give us all green arrows from now til the end of the season

    I'm celebrating 5 green arrows in 6GWs and I had just wildcarded into a decent position somehow it feels like whole gameweeks are due to be cancelled due to covid haha.

              Seen plenty of suggestions like that, but guess it's something to pull managers back in if they had lost interest. Can't say I'm a fan, used to feel way for rewarding, but it is what it is.

    Have 2 free transfers, thinking of free hitting GWK18 and potentially bench boosting GWK19 (possibly swap Martinez & DCL > McCarthy & Bamford)

    Would the following transfers for a -4 help set up for this? Cheers!
