£3.9m defender Mitchell keeps van Aanholt on Palace bench for Gameweek 17

Budget Fantasy Premier League defender Tyrick Mitchell (£3.9m) could be a viable asset once more as he starts against Sheffield United this afternoon.

The left-back lost his place to Patrick van Aanholt (£5.4m) in Gameweek 7 and went nine league matches without registering a single minute before deputising during the Christmas crush of fixtures.

However, Mitchell is making his second successive start in Gameweek 17, suggesting his return to the side was not entirely a result of Roy Hodgson’s festive rotation.

Should the player impress today, he is likely to become a popular asset in the Fantasy community once more considering his price.

James Tomkins (£4.5m) made his first start of the campaign during the Gameweek 16 draw with Leicester and is back for the second time of asking too.

Hodgson has paired him with Cheikhou Kouyaté (£5.0m) at centre-back while Joel Ward (£ returns at right-back, making his third start in five.

Eberechi Eze (£5.8m) joins van Aanholt on the bench as Jeffrey Schlupp (£5.4m) and Andros Townsend (£5.7m) staff the flanks of midfield either side of Wilfried Zaha (£7.4m) and Christian Benteke (£5.5m).

Interest in Sheffield United players remains extremely low, Rhian Brewster (£4.5m) the most popular at 6.8% ownership.

However, as we have become accustomed too, the former Liverpool man is on the bench today while Oliver Burke (£4.4m) is absent from the matchday squad.

That means the most-fashionable starters for the Blades today are John Egan (£4.7m) and Aaron Ramsdale (£4.7m), selected by just 2.2% and 2.0% respectively.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Mitchell, Tomkins, Kouyaté, J Ward; Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic, A Townsend; Zaha, Benteke.

Sheffield Utd XI: Ramsdale; Stevens, Egan, Basham; Osborn, Fleck, Norwood, Ampadu, Bogle; Mousset, McGoldrick.

    Hi everyone.

If we use our WC, we can have a team like this:

    Martinez
Cancelo - Dias - Wan Biss - Mee
El Ghazi - Bruno - Rash - Son (or Saka)
    Aguero - Watkins

Bench: Mc Carthy - Dallas - Soucek - Bamford (bank: 3.4 with Son))

We have 11 players for GW 18 and we can then do Son (or Saka) > Salah for GW19, play our BB and have 15 doublegameweekers.

Is it worth it? Or is it better play our FH for GW18? Wildcarding or free hitting? What are the pros and the cons?

The WC team looks stronger for the games from GW20 onwards where City, United, Villa, West Ham and Leeds have nice fixtures while Liverpool play Spurs.

I'd like to have your advice. Does anyone else think about that option too?

    Thanks a lot.

I’ve been considering this same thing exactly ! Either this or just fh 18 and hits into 19

So, what's the best way going into GW18 according to you?
Lose that precious wildcard or be much happier with it and don't need any hit for 19?

Would you be happy going the next 20/1 GWs with no WC?

Surely not but I'd still keep a FH... I'd better keep all my chips but I can actually field only 6 players in GW18 as I planned to play my FH and have 13 double gameweekers + Son and Kane. My concern is that I don't have city players for GW20, only one from United and my team doesn't really look good for GW20 onwards... But I would be happy with that WC team for those gameweeks to follow.

WC more valuable chip compared to FH, i'm well set up for 19 so easy choice to go FH in 18.

I'm also well set up for 19 and planned to FH 18. But the point is that my team for 19 is not really good to play on 20 onwards and I would be much happy with that WC team to enter GW 20 and the ones which follow it...

I've thought about it a lot. Not sure about this draft though, Aguero is too much of a risk for me - a more reliable option present in Vardy.

I have managed to WC with a team good for Blank and Doubles, with KDB. makes more sense to me. I find the FH more valuable. Alot of the time i WC and the previous team scores more lol.

    Leno
    Holding Mina Stones
Bruno, KDB, Son, El Ghazi, Rashford
    Kane Martial

    (Steer, Fernandez, 3.9, 4.4)

(It's spelled blanquito = white boy.)

But this is a term for "white" Americans or northern/central/eastern European whites, not anyone Latin American / Hispanic. So do people who are called "negritos" by the Latin American / Hispanic people have a term for them or what? Even if they do, to start off calling someone by how they're different being = to affection? How?
