You could WC and then have 50% fixtures cancelled
          It’s very risky
Also imo the best DGW fixtures are Leeds and West Ham, neither of which have a fixture this GW

Bench Boost looks a no-no to me but its still good to have as many of the 19 fixtures covered as possible, points need to come from somewhere.

Even if it didn't have health risks for the players (which it does), the prospect of the Premier League purposefully infecting 1,000 people with a virus would be criminal.

A lot of teams are pulling players back, and I think it's more to protect them where possible given lower league teams are struggling in terms of shielding. Obviously some teams are capable, but some just don't have the structures in place to do what's needed.

Yes will definitely consider a change but will wait for last minute to make the call in case of another cancellation or more. If a couple of Man U, City or arsenal get shelved then a couple of free transfers in the bank will be more than enough to navigate and chips become more valuable later

The deadline is Tuesday 1/12 and you could have Spurs postponed 1/13

No chip or transfer will save you.

But the 3 player limit forces people to have a limit of potentially clean MCI players.

A FH could easily be trashed unless you rid yourself of Villans and Spurs, but then they play

Is there an excess amount of vaccine for the amount that is currently getting administered? If so then that's a fair point in regards to private medical staff at the club giving it.
There is still the problem that it doesn't actually stop them from getting and passing on coronavirus though so it would seem a bit pointless.

            • 13 Years

Yeah I think the vaccine is in plentiful supply. The reason they’re not vaccinating more people is simply logistics rather than the number of vaccines we have, so it wouldn’t really be irresponsible to use vaccine on footballers

Nope but it’s there job to take the advice of the head medical chiefs and they haven’t done that. As well as this top medical chiefs have also blagged there way throughout this going by cheaply made excel graphs so Dyche has as a good suggestion as anyone else

I agree with this, the problem is that it isn't a good look. The reality is that it's a drop in the ocean of the vaccines being administered, and if it meant that my Mum had to shield for 1 extra day, having shielded for 9 months already, I don't see that being much of a hardship for the sake of millions of people being able to enjoy their weekly football. But the papers would have a field day.

Let's be honest. A lot of these footballers are thick as schit. If they thought they were 'safe' (they still wouldn't be), more of these cretins will be out breaking lockdown rules and bringing the virus back home.

I appreciate his comment isn’t the best but I can see his point

The PL must be spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on testing and endless hours of medical professionals time

Vaccinate the players/staff and then send those people off to help vaccinate the vulnerable, could be a net win for everyone in the long haul

Unless the elderly are willing to go and get their vaccine at 3am, there would be no opportunity cost to those involved with the PL being vaccinated by each club's medical teams.

The issue with the vaccines isn't that there isn't enough of them, at least for now, the issue is having enough man power to administer the vaccines.

Dunno, I planned for 18 and currently have 11 players without Free Hit. I’ll be down to 6 just like that if the Villa match is off.

There is strategy, but this season in FPL is pure luck/fortune. So there’s no point having much feeling toward it.

                Spurs/city off gw16 hurt
Added fixtures 19 ment could avoid using chips
5 players from villa/spurs so my 10/11 is now 5 or 6 all luck

    Lloris
    Robbo, KWP, Tierny, Mitchell
    Salah (VC), Aubem, Soucek
    Kane (C), Vardy, DCL

Turns out all these months of statistical analysis, strategic planning, clever captaining and 18 transfers has given me an edge of ... 17 points over where I'd be if I just hadn't logged in since September. My input has added 1 point each GW.

Couldn’t have been any worse than my GW1 team, see above.

        That was brutal.

      I'm on +93 points now.

Doesn't sound too impressive but at about 10 GWs or so in, I was genuinely at -90 points or so.

Even I'm surprised at the flip!

        + 291 ๐Ÿ™‚

        756 points
If Ken had made no changes since GW1, their score would be 756.
...with 89 points coming from the bench via automatic subs, and 0 extra points coming from their Vice Captain when their Captain didn't play.
They captained Aubameyang who's scored 53 points so far. They should have captained Salah, who has 125 points so far.
If they had, their GW1 team would have 828 points!
Your current team value is 105.2. If you'd made no transfers, your team value would be 97.3.
Your current actual points are 1047 , and you've made 24 transfers. So your transfer activity and captaincy choices have been worth a total of 291 points!

Usually Fantasy Football Scout is a safe place. A place to come and have a laugh at, and with people, like (rhymes with Budgey), and a place to get some information about a game that we play to pass a bit of time from our pretty mundane lives.

Now the politicized and sensitivized vaccine talk has snuck itself in here.

I would imagine the vast majority of people here have ZERO idea about the science behind vaccines, SARS-COV2 or behind anything to be honest.

I don't give a flying monkeys rats backside what Sean Dyche or any of you have to say about things he or you know sweet f all about.

Leave the vaccine and health talk out. Honestly you have ZERO idea.

    Postponements and that fair enough.

    My two cents.

    Not that it matters ironically.

Hello is there any mods online please.
Why was my post on page 1 of this article deleted - where I made a joke about early FHers being nervous.
I'd like to ask which T&Cs were broken? And no, I wouldn't like to discuss it by email.
    Thanks!

Can you think of a reason to delete it? Maybe the phrase 'sweating like a very small nun at a penguin shoot'?

      Managed to find it.

Guessing it was due to the imagery but yeah, I don't have a problem with it. Will get it back in a sec, can be a bit finicky.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

So was it a manual intervention rather than it being filtered out by software? If so, whichever mod deleted it, could explain his reasoning to me by email if possible.

Yeah it was dfeinitely deleted at least 20 minutes later.

It's ok though, I think I've figured out which mod deleted it. He makes a brief appearance further down the page.
