All eyes on Kane and Son as Fulham visit Spurs

All eyes will be on Son Heung-Min (£9.8m) and Harry Kane (£11.1m) as the two well-owned Spurs attackers aim to put Fulham to the sword in Blank Gameweek 18.

Joining the pair in attack will be Moussa Sissoko (£4.9m) playing in a more advanced position. Harry Winks (£5.2m) retains his place in a midfield three, with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (£4.9m) and Tanguy Ndombele (£5.9m) .

Sergio Reguilon (£5.7m) makes his Premier League return, with Serge Aurier (£5.2m) on the opposite side of the defence.

Eric Dier (£5.1m) and Davinson Sanchez (£5.2m) partner in central defence, with France international Hugo Lloris (£5.6m) in goal.

Scott Parker, who was furious at the game being moved with so little notice, has made several changes to his line-up.

Out-of-position Ivan Cavaleiro (£5.4m) continues in a false nine role for Fulham, supported by Bobby Decordova-Reid (£5.3m).

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (£5.9m), Harrison Reed (£4.4m), and Andre-Frank Anguissa (£4.5m) make up a midfield three for the Cottagers.

Kenny Tete (£4.3m) and Antonee Robinson (£4.4m) line up at wing-back, with Ola Aina (£4.4m), Tosin Adarabioyo (£4.5m) and Joachim Andersen (£4.5m) in central defence.

Alphonse Areola (£4.5m) keeps his place in goal.

Spurs XI: Lloris; Aurier, Dier, Sanchez, Reguilon; Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Winks, Ndombele; Son Kane

Fulham XI: Areola; Tete, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Aina, Robinson; Loftus-Cheek, Reed, Anguissa; Cavaleiro, Decordova-Reid

41 (-4) with just mitchell left

Feels like an okay score since FHers havent got that much more atm.

Lol will be lucky is Saks starts. Arsenal haven't beaten Palace in the last 4 games and they are a tough side to beat. As an Arsenal fan I don't see Saks being a regular for now especially with Martinelli back in training.

Flop of the GW has to be Sterling.

Benched. Subbed on. Misses a penalty.

Going to have to flop hard to beat that.

I had a FH draft with Rashford, but I decided to replace him with Sterling which meant downgrading 2 or 3 other slots. That pen miss was one the most annoying I ever had. Especially because I captained Kdb who should have taken it. What a terrible day this was.

Why is football begging to be cancelled. Before this round they were told 'you are on thin ice... stop the unnecessary contact'... ' referees will be reminding you of your responsibility'. After the games yesterday the bbc published pictures of each team disregarding what they'd been told. Today the PL issued a written warning and guidance - with pictures like for children - about breaking these recommendations, because they know that if people keep submitting images of players unnecessarily breaking guidelines then ministers will put their foot down and they'll not be able to continue to justify it. Multiple instances again tonight, huddles, managers shaking the hands of every staff and player in site, subs high fiving bench players. Whatever you think of whether football should continue, this is just stupidity on a staggering level

      Calm down, snowflake.

They are tested twice every week and are literally breathing down each other's necks throughout 90 minutes. Do you want them to carry a sanitiser while running and social distance during a corner ?

      1. Pacer.
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 2 months ago

The point seems to have gone completely over your head. This isn't an opinion piece about whether they should continue, this is about the fact that they've been warned twice and disregarded it twice. On the day the UK saw a record number of deaths.

I don't really understand, are you saying that you would like them to give ministers a reason to pull the plug? Because it's hard to get a country to do what you say when people keep showing them pictures of people who aren't and saying 'I can't hug my grandmother, what's going on here?'

        1. deathcabofdevil
          • 10 Years
          3 years, 2 months ago

What's going on is these players are lifting the morale of the entire country (if not the world) with their high-intensity football during a very difficult time. If somebody is showing the ministers pictures of footballers who are tested negative twice a week fist-bumping each other after sweating on each other for 90 minutes, then they deserve to be called a snowflake. It's a contact sport, no point getting worked up over fist pumps when they have allowed them to breathe on each other throughout.

I'm not communicating with you further. You seem intent on turning this into an argument about wether football should continue, which this never has been. Either you are being deliberately slow to understand or you simply haven't taken time to read the actual meaning. Either way, trying to communicate with you is fruitless

            1. deathcabofdevil
              • 10 Years
              3 years, 2 months ago

A bit less fruitless than your indigenous idea of avoiding fist-bumping in a contact sport. What next ? Maybe ask the players to hold their breath for 90 minutes to minimise the risk ?

Jog on, mate. This is a high-intensity game full of emotions. Some actions like high-fives just happen naturally. You would know if you've kicked a ball in your life.

It is not my idea. It is ministers and the PL.

Totally agree. It's been like that all season. Even the fist bump between the managers. How about a nod?

Sure the players are heading the same ball and tackling each other, but hand shakes and contact celebrations are not necessary.

Scott Parker just fistbumped and shook hands with about 20-30 people. Clubs are struggling to prevent outbreaks once the virus gets in, which it does, because testing can't reliably prevent that. It's just begging for Transmission/cancellation

I feel like I’m in an alternate reality on here. People who’ve got 40-50+ points complaining.

I’ve got 28 points with only Holding & Mitchell left. I’d be ecstatic to be in the 40’s.

Looking like a mistake not to play FH, but I’d still have punted on Sterling, maybe Rashford or Son would have come in too. Still would’ve been a poor GW either way I think.

28 points without free hitting vs someone who free hit and is on 40, would mean you are having an amazing week compared to them.

Free hit should be worth way more than 12 points.

If you are on Free Hit, 40 points is a bad score not a brag.

If you’ve not free hit, 40 points would be an incredible score

It’s a different perspective this week

I agree with this. I’ve played my FH to score 43 with one to play. It doesn’t feel like a successful FH. Without the FH I would only have been able to field 4 players.

Mate, I'm in a similar boat as you with double Arsenal left and it's definitely not a mistake, in fact this is a clear success. FH is far more valuable than the 12+~ points you would have got from playing it. Correct decision has been made.

I'm on 45 - 16 .. still have Bellerin and Laca to play. All my FH ML rivals are on much the same points
I'd far prefer to have my FH and current team than an extra 16 points, especially as it now looks like some of my rivals will have to play WC in 19 after getting their gw17 team back

      Lloris (-1), AWB (+2), KDB (+2), Soucek (-4), Lacazette (?)
Down -1 on my transfers so far, but captained KDB for an extra 6 points, otherwise Bruno would have been my captained

I agree with you. I'm not sure if they're being ironic or have unrealistic expectations considering how low scoring the few games have been.

Kane was about 4 BPS clear for the 3 with about 10 minutes to go.

    What happened?

BDR looks like a decent shout for 3rd striker over the DGW.

Mourinho talking about his players not killing the game off is non-sense. Yes they made mistakes, but its down to his tactics. Classic Mou: deflect

Speaking for myself, I would've been happy with 15 more than the average. Currently on 36 with an average of 22. So happy with that.

Need 0.1 to do Son to KdB

Raphinha to Lookman worth a hit to fund the Son to KdB move? Fixtures are tough in the double but Fulham look good and so does he. Fixtures are nice coming out of the double in GW20 and GW21 as well.

              Would want them both.
I’ll be funding Grealish > KDB by either Downgrading TAA or Kane.

Did Lampard say James was back for Fulham? Notice he's still red flagged.

James is back in training mate. Pictures today on the official site, saying potentially available for Fulham on Saturday, so I suggest he'll be OK for GW19 however he may not play twice if Lamps managers his minutes so soon returning from injury.

            Arsenal 0-1 Palace (Mitchell)

When will we know DGW26 and BGW29 schedule? Before GW24 or later?
Possible DGW23 for Leeds and Southampton and Aston Villa also?
Trying to imagine what to focus on between GW20-23 if WC24.
