Spurs switch to back five for Sheffield United game

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers will be hoping Jose Mourinho’s switch to a back five will provide a boost to Tottenham Hotspur’s well-owned attacking assets.

Deadly duo Harry Kane (£11.1m) and Son Heungmin (£9.7m) line up with a returning Steve Bergwijn (£7.0m) in attack for their game against Sheffield United in Double Gameweek 19.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (£4.8m) and Tanguy Ndombele (£5.9m) are selected in centre midfield.

Providing width to their side will be wing-backs Sergio Reguilon (£5.7m) and Serge Aurier (£5.2m).

Joe Rodon (£5.0m) is back in the heart of their defence with Ben Davies (£4.6m), along with stalwart Eric Dier (£5.1m).

French international Hugo Lloris (£5.6m) continues in goal, having started every game of the Premier League season so far.

Chris Wilder will be hoping his Blades side can build on their first win of the season against Newcastle with another impressive performance.

Out-of-position forward Oliver Burke (£4.4m) starts up- front with top-six slayer David McGoldrick (£5.2m).

There are no changes in midfield, with John Fleck (£5.6m), John Lundstram (£4.9m) and Oliver Norwood (£4.6m) occupying the three spots.

The impressive Jayden Bogle (£4.3m) continues at right wing-back, with Enda Stevens (£5.0m) returning on the left,

Chelsea loanee Ethan Ampadu (£4.3m) who picked up maximum Bonus Points in their last game, is alongside Chris Basham (£4.6m) and John Egan (£4.7m) at centre-half.

Aaron Ramsdale (£4.6m) keeps his place in goal.

Sheff Utd XI: Ramsdale; Basham, Egan, Ampadu, Bogle, Stevens; Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck; McGoldrick, Burke

Spurs XI: Lloris; Aurier, Rodon, Dier, Davies, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Son; Kane

Soucek is a defensive midfielder, not Kun Aguero. Vardy's goals have nearly all come away from home. Lack of, respectively, realism and due diligence, have let you down.

Also he hasn't done anything as a player yet. I understand his price is an enabler for higher priced players but at some point he may be required. I guess it's a weakness of FPL that they become part of the game.

Isn’t that one of the strengths of the game? - we look at value and pp£ otherwise everyone would be able to afford the eleven best players.

But it’s not the dead teams as he only became an option when he moved in October. It’s the active teams that own him.

Absolutely this. All that excitement when a £4.5m striker suddenly became an option to go 3-5-2 once he moved to Sheff Utd.

      1. Deulofail
        • 8 Years
        3 years, 2 months ago

It was an option before Brewster. You could do it with a non-playing 4.5 forward. The fact he gets 1-2 points makes almost no difference for many, except that it's a bonus if fixtures are postponed and he's autosubbed in from 3rd on the bench.

    8. Camzy
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Keinan Davis is superior. He's 4.3m and he's been getting 1 point off the bench.

    9. Kno
      • 13 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

would be better if ppl treated him for what he is, you dont see ppl posting every time their 4.5 midfielder gets a 1 or 2 pointer.

    10. Saka_me_sideways

Strikers aren’t in fashion, if he was a midfielder no one would even look at him.

    11. Yes Ndidi
      • 4 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

Any other move. Anywhere other than Utd. and he would have been a must have. Those of us that went there GW1 only did so on the basis that he'd been priced as 'pool's 4th or 5th choice striker, but was on for a move elsewhere.
We thought we were so smart.

    12. Deulofail
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

Is it really though? He was the lowest priced forward when many bought him. second or third sub almost every week, I'd imagine, for most who have owned him. What attention is he getting besides from owners who bought him as fodder?

Except gameweek after restart last season when it was used along with unlimited transfers. Think I scored 144 points that week with about 30 from bench. Apart from that I have never scored more than about 12 points. Gonna play it in gw25 though after w/c in gw25.
