The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on Double Gameweek 25 Premier League action

Sponsored by bet365

We are again turning to the odds provided by our official sportsbook partner, bet365, to wager a bet on the forthcoming Premier League action.

As ever, we urge you to gamble responsibly and always remember: when the fun stops, stop.

The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on the weekend’s Premier League action 2

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 25 MATCH ODDS

DERBY DAY

A whopping three derby matches take place during Double Gameweek 25 and offer up some cracking odds for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers fancying a small flutter.

Bitter rivals Liverpool and Everton meet in the Merseyside derby. The game promises to be a feisty affair, with both sides desperate for a win.

As well as offering the usual odds on goals and results, bet365 has some more intriguing niche markets.

If you’re backing tempers to flare in Liverpool, then bet365 will give you 5/6 on there to be more than 3.5 cards shown.

Should you think a player will get himself sent off, then putting a tenner on this will earn you £40.

With neither Everton or Liverpool’s defence impressive of late, a safe bet would be to back a high-scoring game.

If you think there will be more than 4.5 goals, then bet365 will give you odds of 7/2.

2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer

Get your single bets paid out if the team you back goes 2 goals ahead – for multiple bets the selection will be marked as a winner.

Applies to pre-match bets on the standard Full Time Result market for selected competitions. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.

HIGH-FLYING SEAGULLS

An in-form Brighton side host Crystal Palace, who are still likely to be without talisman Wilfried Zaha.

The Seagulls defence has been particularly impressive, and they sit at the top of the expected goals conceded (xGC) table over the last six matches, above Manchester City.

Added to the fact that Palace have failed to score a single goal since Zaha got injured, a low-scoring Brighton win looks a possibility.

Albion’s last seven results, indeed, are: 0-1, 1-0, 0-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-1, 0-0.

Bet365 is offering odds of 5/2 for a Brighton win and two goals or fewer to be scored.

For Brighton to win the game to nil, bet365 has odds of 13/8.

Should Palace manage to hold the Seagulls, then bet365’s Money Back Offer will get you your money back on certain bets if the game does result in a goalless draw.

Bore Draw Money Back

Refund for any Soccer game that finishes 0-0 at bet365.

Applies to losing pre-match bets on any Correct Score, Half-Time/Full-Time or Scorecast markets. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.

BACKING BAMFORD

All eyes will be on Patrick Bamford in Double Gameweek 25’s first game – Wolves v Leeds.

Bamford has been one of the most consistent FPL assets this season, having the most attempts on goal and shots in the box of any forward this season.

His Leeds team also face an out-of-sorts Wolves side, with losses to Crystal Palace and West Brom in their last six games.

Despite this, Bamford is priced at 9/2 to open the scoring at Molineux on Friday.

For punters fancying more of a differential, midfielder Raphinha has even better odds.

The Brazilian has outscored Bamford over the last six games, and is priced at 9/1 to score the first goal.

    A) Antonio -> Ings ( next week Ings/ DCL to Kane - would have to downgrade AWB as part of a -4 to fund it)
    B) DCL -> Kane (next week Antonio -> Watkins)
    C) Mitchell -> Dallas (next week Antonio -> Kane - would have to majorly downgrade AWB to fund it)

If I make a transfer who do I bench? AWB, Lowton or Grealish??

    For a hit:

    Soucek to

    A) JWP
    B) Raphina
    C) Hold

B is the obvious option for this week, but I’m mindful that Southampton may have a DGW in 26 or 27 also.

I’m just going to have to sort my bench a little bit rather than doing anything fun this week so doing holding > Brighton defender

I can’t afford dunk, is it worth the risk on burn for attacking threat or just go with white ? No wildcard so needs to be nailed long term

Solid argument for Ings if you have Son anyway and can use the funds.

Look at Ings non DGW fixtures. Pure gold. (posted them a page back). Think his DGW fixtures are almost an irrelevance given City Chelsea and Spurs.

  8. Captain_Shirokov

If they don't announce fixtures before 4pm, what should I do with this team?

    Pope (Martinez)
    Cancelo, Tarkowski, Dallas (Dias, Coufal)
    Sterling, Bruno, Son, Grealish, Raphinha
    Cavani, Bamford (Antonio)

    - no Salah
    - Cavani and Antonio looking unlikely to play
    - too much money in my keepers

Only WC and BB left, no free transfers

    1. TheDragon
      • 6 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

Similar issue to me - when on earth do we play bench boost?!

Got to be soon surely as will never have 2 playing keepers post GW30 so prob got to try at some point between 26 and 28?

      Any money in the bank?

Yeah exactly, I'm nearly being forced into WC just to use BB. Ridiculous.

I need to look at it today but could we potentially try to BB the week after wildcard in 31/32? Need to look at fixtures an fit would need to be as cheap a bench as possible

    Please help me to decide:

    Martinez
    Cancelo Mee Shaw Dias
    Son Bruno Salah Grealish Gundo
    Bamford

    4.0 DCL Antonio Mitchell

Planned to Wildcard and BB 26 but without fixtures would you:

    A. DCL, Dias to Ings , Dallas -4
    B. Antonio, Dias to Ings, strujik -4
    C. SON to Raphina for free
    D. Something else
    E. WC to a BB 26 team

Judging from Mou's comments absolutely none that he'll play at the weekend. A slightly different concern is that Kane himself doesn't feel completely healed and his record on return from injury is a niggle

Morning all, won't have time to set up a WC later if we get the fixtures so going to go ahead with this team:

    Pope
    Stones Cancelo Dallas
    Raphinha Bruno Salah Son Gundogan
    Ings Bamford (C)

    McCarthy - Adams Lowton Coufal

Do I hit the BB with this team too? If I WC in 26 I'll probably downgrade the bench so might be my best opportunity.

Raphina will be far lower ownership

Bamford will be incredibly high ownership and is the player with the highest expected points

You know how it works - Bamford the ‘correct’ choice but if you want to ramp up the variance to try to catch up then go Raphinha

Yes and BB in 26. Have put a lot of trust in Crellin's spreadsheet 😀 😀

        Currently on

        Areola/Sanchez (Martinez)
        Dallas, Dias, Shaw (Stones, Targett)
        Salah, Fernandes, Gundogan, Son, Raphinha
        Bamford, Kane (Watkins)

Just not quite decided on whether or not to go with Ings and Konsa instead of Watkins and Targett and then switch out Ings and Raphinha for 26.

    My wc defence

    Cancelo, stones, targett, Dallas, Mitchell.

Would you downgrade Dallas to allow Mitchell to struijk?

    (Have Raphina and bamford)

Struijk *may* be dropped since Llorente is back available. Whether he is match fit though, that is a separate matter

Benching DCL over this attacking line up: Salah Bruno Gundo Son Raphinha Bamford Ings, is the right call? Yes or No?

Yes, definitely would rather play any of those over DCL. Also, what JJO said! 🙂

    Richarlison to Ings?

Even with Southampton’s form if they get three DGWs in a row surely Ings is a must? He has proven over the years he can score against anyone but even if he doesn’t that 6 games v 3 games for most teams?

I don’t think he plays them all for 90 mins if it goes ahead, they played him every game last time he came back from injury and he broke again

Current front 3 plan is Kane + DCL + Bamford (with 25 and 29 in mind). However, if SOU are indeed to get a few doubles strung together, DCL can shift to Ings easily. Nothing has been confirmed yet. Also, Ingsy's injury record worries me a little bit with all those potential games in quick succession.

Not sure. Presumably Villa will have multiple DGWs too and seem a much better team so Watkins is an option assuming most will want Bamford and Kane. I'm probably going to go without, although considering him just for gw25 with a hit to shift him in gw26 which doesn't seem right!

Could you not get him in for his 2/3 DGW and then swap to Watkins for his second/third DGW (they will be later on presumably)

My 'options' are above - keeping Ings for longer would realistically mean getting JWP in for Raphinha which would need a lot of faith put in Southampton. At this stage I'm preferring Watkins with double in 26 and likely another in 27/28 (but good fixtures even if not) which also allows me to get Barnes in for double in 26 as my only cover. I could keep Ings just for 25 but taking him out for Watkins (with Barnes) would be for a hit in 26. Cheers

    Dias* - Stones - Mee - Targett
    Salah - Gundogan* - Fernandes
    Bamford - Cavani* - Ings

    Pope - Son - Holding - Reidewald

I'm willing to take a hit to make up ground on mini league rivals, but I have all 3 Chips to play and I'm unsure what order to play them in?

On a wildcard would you priotise getting both son and kane or having a better defense? Will be bench boosting but not too concerned with it if I can make a better team going forward.

It boils down to son, lowton, stones, tete
    Or
    Barnes, cancelo, rudiger, shaw

I have 2 ft but I think I will just get Bobby Reid this week, decent game v Sheffield and happy to have him in my bench boost in 26 vs Palace then has Leeds in 29. Going to leave Soucek to Son for next week (info depending).
