The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on Double Gameweek 25 Premier League action

Sponsored by bet365

We are again turning to the odds provided by our official sportsbook partner, bet365, to wager a bet on the forthcoming Premier League action.

As ever, we urge you to gamble responsibly and always remember: when the fun stops, stop.

The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on the weekend’s Premier League action 2

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 25 MATCH ODDS

DERBY DAY

A whopping three derby matches take place during Double Gameweek 25 and offer up some cracking odds for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers fancying a small flutter.

Bitter rivals Liverpool and Everton meet in the Merseyside derby. The game promises to be a feisty affair, with both sides desperate for a win.

As well as offering the usual odds on goals and results, bet365 has some more intriguing niche markets.

If you’re backing tempers to flare in Liverpool, then bet365 will give you 5/6 on there to be more than 3.5 cards shown.

Should you think a player will get himself sent off, then putting a tenner on this will earn you £40.

With neither Everton or Liverpool’s defence impressive of late, a safe bet would be to back a high-scoring game.

If you think there will be more than 4.5 goals, then bet365 will give you odds of 7/2.

2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer

Get your single bets paid out if the team you back goes 2 goals ahead – for multiple bets the selection will be marked as a winner.

Applies to pre-match bets on the standard Full Time Result market for selected competitions. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.

HIGH-FLYING SEAGULLS

An in-form Brighton side host Crystal Palace, who are still likely to be without talisman Wilfried Zaha.

The Seagulls defence has been particularly impressive, and they sit at the top of the expected goals conceded (xGC) table over the last six matches, above Manchester City.

Added to the fact that Palace have failed to score a single goal since Zaha got injured, a low-scoring Brighton win looks a possibility.

Albion’s last seven results, indeed, are: 0-1, 1-0, 0-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-1, 0-0.

Bet365 is offering odds of 5/2 for a Brighton win and two goals or fewer to be scored.

For Brighton to win the game to nil, bet365 has odds of 13/8.

Should Palace manage to hold the Seagulls, then bet365’s Money Back Offer will get you your money back on certain bets if the game does result in a goalless draw.

Bore Draw Money Back

Refund for any Soccer game that finishes 0-0 at bet365.

Applies to losing pre-match bets on any Correct Score, Half-Time/Full-Time or Scorecast markets. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.

BACKING BAMFORD

All eyes will be on Patrick Bamford in Double Gameweek 25’s first game – Wolves v Leeds.

Bamford has been one of the most consistent FPL assets this season, having the most attempts on goal and shots in the box of any forward this season.

His Leeds team also face an out-of-sorts Wolves side, with losses to Crystal Palace and West Brom in their last six games.

Despite this, Bamford is priced at 9/2 to open the scoring at Molineux on Friday.

For punters fancying more of a differential, midfielder Raphinha has even better odds.

The Brazilian has outscored Bamford over the last six games, and is priced at 9/1 to score the first goal.

Activated wildcard yesterday based on Guardiola's and Hodgson's comments and Ben Crellin's twitter.
The only pain in the ass is we don't get to know if Southampton has a dgw in GW 26 or not (most likely not according to Ben). That would make the decision to go with 3 Saints player in GW 25 as well easier.

So Fulham will have a double in 26?

Knowing the fixtures is important so we can make the best use of the wildcard, and Southampton is the key (ie Kane and Ings? Get JWP? Take a chance on McCarthy/Vestergaard?). Ben Crellin expects there to be extra doubles in 27 and 28, and depending on what happens, it might be better to wildcard in GW27 to cash in.

Spurs have to double in 26 because of their Europa League commitments, and it's either Fulham or Southampton. The case for Southampton is that they're still in the Cup and may need the later DGW slots in 32 and 37 for semi-final and final blanks.

i was planning on WC25 BB26 but i have an ok team for this week, tempted to just WC 26 and build a stronger 11 than i would of with the bench boost, and just hope for a chance to use it later

      Areola/Sanchez (Martinez)
      Dallas, Dias, Shaw (Stones, Targett)
      Salah, Fernandes, Gundogan, Son, Raphinha
      Bamford, Kane (Watkins)

Money ITB for Raphinha -> Barnes.

I'm not bothering losing Son, Salah or Fernandes - always ends in tears 😉

Thoughts on the moves below. Struggling to make a decision on whether Ings is worth bringing in then transferring out in 26

    A. Antonio to Ings in 25 and Ings to Kane in 26 (can't afford Barnes in 26 without - 4 hit)
    B. Antonio to Kane
    C. Other suggestion

    Plan to TC26, WC30/31, FH33

    2FT 5.7itb
    Pope
    Cancelo Stones Cresswell
    Salah Bruno Gundo Raphinha
    Bamford Antonio DCL
    (Martinez Soucek Digne Holding)

Surely the whole point of bringing ings in is that he will have another 2 dgws after 25. Id find a way of getting both ings and kane in.

      1. Tonyawesome69
        • 5 Years
        3 years, 1 month ago

Why can't you bring Ings in for GW25 only?

        1. iveseenitall
          • 10 Years
          3 years, 1 month ago

Well you can bring him in for 25 only in the same way you could bring mitrovic in if you wanted.

Southampton are in poor form and leeds and chelsea arent the best of fixtures. The reason Ive brought ings in because he has potentially 3 dgw in a row, we already know from pep that he has another dgw in 27. So in my opinion worth keeping.

I agree if Soton get the triple double then he is a no-brainer. Difficult to fit both in with the budget and FTs.

I don't think Ings will get an attacking return in the Chelsea game so it whether he gets a goal or two vs Leeds compared to Kane vs WHU and not taking the hit in 26

With Phillips out, you are relying heavily on Dallas getting an attacking return as it is highly unlikely they will get a CS. Phillips out may affect Dallas role in the team i.e. defend more rather than attack

    Dallas-Dias-Cancelo
    Salah-Son-Fernandes-Gundogan-Grealish

If I am WC GW 25, what is the best approach to take in order to ensure BB for GW 26 with all dgw players as well as maximising dgw 25 and future dgws? (according to Ben Crellin's twitter)

    A. 1 LEE/SOU player to be FT in GW 26
    B. 2 LEE/SOU players to be Transferred in GW 26 (-4)
Ç. and so on till 6 LEE/SOU players to be transferred in GW 26

What approach are ppl taking here?

    TAA / Cancelo / Stones / Shaw / Bednarek
    Saka / Gundogan / Grealish / Salah / Bruno
    Antonio / Bamford / DCL

WC fairly set now, think I will settle for the GK headache:

    Ederson - Martinez
Dias - Lowton - Ben White - Rudiger - Dallas
Bruno - Gundogan -Son - Grealish - Raphinha
    Kane - Ings - Bamford

Plan is to move Bamford and Dallas out for more DGW players in 25 potentially

Don't know if moving Bam + Dallas out for 26 is the best idea given that they are one of the few who would have a fixture in 29. You would move them out for a hit to BB, and then likely take another hit to bring them back in for 29. Is -8 + 2FTs spent worth have a better odds BB?

Yes. That is the best gk combo. I have been on that since gw 19. I think I’ve got a return every gw since then.

Been rotating both & it has been effective

I’d choose one of the 2 GKs that has missed points written all over it to me.

For covering City dgws in GW 26/27, is it wise to go with Dias /Foden /Gundo as the 3?

Pep roulette might be in full action anyways, so might as well go cheaper.

Dias + Gundo the template picks. You know what you are getting with Foden, but as you say - at least is cheaper! Would rather Cancelo over Foden personally though

      Martínez
      Cancelo • Shaw • Dallas
      Salah • Sterling* • Bruno • Gundo
      DCL • Bamford(C) • Antonio*
      ---------------------------------
      Grealish - Coufal - Ferguson

      2FTs, £1.3itb

      A. Sterling > Raphina and save second FT
      B. Sterling + Antonio > Raphina + Kane for free

      Morning guys

Would you play DCL or Grealish? Already have Watkins in 11, for what's its worth
