The key FPL statistics ahead of Double Gameweek 27

The two-time FPL champion of India, Lateriser, returns with a stat attack ahead of the weekend.

A lot of football has been played of late and it’s almost impossible for Fantasy Premier League managers to keep track of things when they are moving at such a fast pace.

So, I thought this would be a good time to look at some trends and statistics that have caught my eye in the Premium Members Area over the last few Gameweeks. It is worth noting that I’m writing this article on Wednesday morning after Manchester City clinched a late win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, so the statistics I cite will include data up to this point.

What is FPL Upside Chasing and how can I implement it in 2020/21?

    Best move? Open to all ideas. Still got WC and BB. 1FT 3.0itb.

    A. McCarthy >> Martinez (hurting me every week)
    B. Bruno >> Bale / Salah (get back on WC)
    C. DCL >> Antonio
    D. Save FT.

    Pope
    Dias, Cancelo, Digne
    Son, Bruno, Gündo, Raphina
    Kane, DCL, Bamford
    (McCarthy, Coufal, Soucek, Dallas)

      Just do Martinez

      The others are sideways. That one is not.

      Think there may be better value keepers on WC31 possibly but .....

    Any experts on Brighton defence about?

    How does the defence look assuming Lamptey comes back in soon? Is Burn affected at all. Is any formation change possible?

    My ideal move - depending on tonight and how Leicester look - could well be the exact money Shaw + Vardy to Burn + Kane. Ideally I'd want Burn for 33 too but 29 is what makes the hit for me work now.

    No chips left, so these moves have 29 onwards in mind. 1FT 1.8ITB.

    Martinez (Fabri)
    Targett Cancelo Dallas Shaw Burn
    Salah Fernandes Barnes Raph Gundo
    Kane DCL Bamford

    A) DCL -> Watkins
    B) DCL -> Antonio
    C) DCL, Barnes -> Wat/Ant, Son (-4)
    D) Something else?

    I would likely do Son in next week for free anyway, question is is he worth 4 points in 27? (Probably would bench Raph or Bruno).

      when is DCL's next dgw?
      Barnes->lingard?

        Could be 28, though nothing confirmed. Barnes to Lingard is tempting but Lingard no game in 28 plus Bamford and Raph playing Chelsea that week puts me off somewhat.

      Do you plan to take a hit pre 29? If yes, you might as well take that hit for 27 instead of delaying it. Saving the FT on 29 to do a double transfer on either 30 or 31 seems like a good idea.

        Cheers bud, that's an angle I hadn't really considered. Good point about rolling transfers into 30/31 too.

    Martinez/McCarthy**
    Targett Dias* Vestergaard*
    Salah Bruno Gundy* Raphinha
    Watkins Kane(c) Bamford

    Mart/Mc Dallas Shaw Barnes

    A) Save FT

      100 not bruno to son. I would ditch narnes and get saka. Lingaards fixtures are awful

      I’m glad he’s playing to be honest. Obviously as I’m an owner but it’s mainly because my rival captained him and I respect the move so much I want him to do well.

    Already have Kane and Son and wanting to fill the third Spurs spot, which of these?

    A) Barnes & Shaw > Bale & White (-4)
    B) Barnes & Shaw > Reguilon & Grealish/Lingard

    Thanks

    Need to get rid of Barnes but having a quite hard time choosing between a few options.
    Already used FH so I'm working towards fielding as many players as possible in BGW29.

    Which option would you prefer as a Barnes replacement?

    A) Lingard (can cover his blank in GW28)
    B) Foden
    C) Raphinha
    D) Roll FT and play Bamford or Watkins

      well, I would play both Watkins and Bamford regardless... Raphina if safe, Lingard a little bit of a punt

        Leeds fixtures after BGW29 are not great though

          ye, they can score in any game tho... Lingard is good as well, nice fixture this week attacking wise

      Lingard

      Or if you have a use for cash itb in 29 and a benchable fifth mid then possibly Soucek. Leeds concede to set pieces. This game could be set up for him in the same way as the Palace one was.

    who would you rather have for gw27 onwards?

    A - Soucek (could go big vs Leeds)
    B - Raphinha

    would you do Brewster > Antonio for a hit and bench DCL/Fernandes?

    1 - yes, he will score
    2 - no, just play the two

      i wouldnt take a hit to play someone over DCL/Fernandes .. asking for trouble imo

        fair enough, just feel like Antonio could get a brace...
        who do you like more out of Soucek and Raphinha? I got Dallas, Bamford and Coufal so far

          Would definitely rather have Raphinha long term. His underlying stats are great, playing for a very attacking team
