FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

We’ve reached the last-32 stage in our FFS Open Cup and FFS Members Cup after the latest rounds of both competitions played out in Gameweek 30.

There are £300-worth of prizes up for grabs in each tournament, with the Gameweek 35 finale drawing ever closer.

FFS OPEN CUP

The results from the fifth round of our FFS Open Cup can be viewed here.

The draw for the sixth round of our FFS Open Cup can be viewed here.

The two highest-ranked managers of round five bowed out of the competition.

The Fighting Cock sits at an impressive 626th in the world but after squeaking through in a fourth-round tie-breaker thanks to his lofty rank, his run in this year’s tournament has come to an end.

stonerrocks was the victor over the high-flying Spurs fan, prevailing 63-52.

ZeleniMD sat just outside the top 1k going into Gameweek 30, meanwhile, but was edged out by ronaldez, who is now the lowest-ranked manager left in our FFS Open Cup following exits from Wulfrunian and the Chaser.

Six managers who currently lie in the top 10k have made it through to round six, with kenzo. – who sits in 3,357th place – boasting the best rank among them.

Goldtop73‘s Gameweek 30 score of 75 was the best of the fifth round, while pk all stars can consider himself the ‘unluckiest’ manager of the last 64 as he was defeated by RobinHuth despite racking up an impressive 69 points.

FFS MEMBERS CUP

The results from the fourth round of our FFS Members Cup can be viewed here.

The full draw for the fifth round of our FFS Members Cup can be viewed here.

Mr. Rabbit had a super Gameweek 30, as his score of 74 was not only enough to beat G00Li0 but also the joint-best of the FFS Members Cup fourth round.

The cherry on the icing is that Mr. Rabbit is now the highest-ranked manager left in round five after climbing to 1,416th in the world.

Armaan.ag was the erstwhile highest flyer in this competition but despite losing that tag, he still made it through to the last 32 after a 64-61 win over Whitty.

There was a hard-luck story involving KevIRL, whose commendable Gameweek 30 score of 71 was bettered by few other managers in the fourth round.

Unfortunately for him, opponent Mohd Rodzi – who next faces the aforementioned Mr. Rabbit – matched that score and progressed by virtue of having a better rank.

HOW DO THE CUP COMPETITIONS WORK?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round were randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a draw, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

WHAT IS THE GAMEWEEK SCHEDULE?

FFS Open Cup

The FFS Open Cup competition will be played out according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule:

  • Qualifying – Gameweek 25
  • Round 1 – Gameweek 26
  • Round 2 – Gameweek 27
  • Round 3 – Gameweek 28
  • Round 4 – Gameweek 29

  • Round 7 – Gameweek 32
  • Quarter-Final – Gameweek 33
  • Semi-Finals – Gameweek 34
  • Final and third-place play-off – Gameweek 35

FFS Members Cup

The FFS Members Cup competition will be played out according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule:

  • Qualifying – Gameweek 26
  • Round 1 – Gameweek 27
  • Round 2 – Gameweek 28
  • Round 3 – Gameweek 29
  • Round 4 – Gameweek 30
  • Round 5 – Gameweek 31
  • Round 6 – Gameweek 32
  • Quarter-Final – Gameweek 33
  • Semi-Finals – Gameweek 34
  • Final and third-place play-off – Gameweek 35

WHEN ARE THE FIXTURES RELEASED?

Afternoon all. 4 options left on my WC! Appreciate your views.

    A)
    Mendy, Forster
    TAA, Rudiger, DIAS, LASCELLES, Holding
    Salah, Bruno, Jota, LINGARD, NETO
    Kane, VARDY, VYDRA

    B)
    Mendy, Forster
    TAA, Rudiger, DIAS, SHAW, COADY
    Salah, Bruno, Jota, LINGARD, MADDISON
    Kane, IHEANACHO, WOOD

    C)
    Mendy, Forster
    TAA, Rudiger, COADY, KONSA, Holding
    Salah, Bruno, Jota, SON, MADDISON
    Kane, IHEANACHO, VYDRA

    D)
    Mendy, Forster
    TAA, Rudiger, SHAW, MASUAKU, Holding
Salah, Bruno, Jota, LINGARD, STERLING (change to Son in 32)
    Kane, IHEANACHO, DAVIS

Basically, A) and B) have no Son but get Vardy/ Maddi, C) squeezes in Maddi + Son but a weaker def, D) takes a 1 GW punt on Sterling.

I honestly like all 4 so have come to the masses for some assistance!

    Cheers 🙂

Prefer B over A no doubt.
C is ok but prefer Lingard over Madd so you can also upgrade Coady to Shaw
D is a good idea to go for a punt but Sterling’s price doesn’t work for your team shape going fwd. I’d prefer Gundo as a punt.

        Thanks mate.

I think I've already discounted A as Vardy has burnt me too much in the past!

B and C are prob my favourites but then it's relying on Maddison delivering which will depend on his recovery now that he's back.

Gundo in D for a week is interesting - would obv mean more to spend on defence - I could then get both Shaw and Dias in there ... hmmm

    2. pingissimus
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 17 days ago

      C for me

Don't think D is worth it given Leeds defence has been no less wonky than Spurs or Liverpool since turn of the year and who knows if you'll get Sterling at all.

Not sure Neto is worth a spot over likes of Mount Maddison etc in A and sadly dubious about Vardy

Would be tempted by B but would need to see Maddison play first to get him over Son.

        Cheers as always!

B and C are prob my favourites but yes, it depends on Maddi delivering.

Tbh with both LEI attack and Son we don't have form there to help the decisions - it's a guessing game!

The proposal from ILOVEBAPS above to go Gundo in D for 1GW and then > Son could work as at least I could have a stronger defence again

        Decisions, decisions!

If I went Davis in C I could even go up to 5.2m def over Konsa also..... hmmm

C has the highest upside I think

Thanks - C (or B) is prob my favourite too atm.

After his shocking performance v Madrid I’m set on Phillips. Provides great value and if Liverpool defenders backfires then it’s no loss as he’s only 4.0

You don't see Maddison delivering points over the next few?

C with Lingard over Maddi (and therefore being able to upgrade def to Dias + Shaw) is basically the template - would be nice to haev 1 differential in there!

      TAA for me

He's the form player of the two by some distance and Liverpool defence is showing a bit more now and I can see it comparatively outperforming attack in run in with teams shutting up shop against Liverpool.

He also allows way more flexibility elsewhere.

Here's my non-wildcard team (I used it a while ago), to mix things up.

Rolling one FT with the tentative plan to do Gundo > Son and DCL > Iheanacho next week. Other temptation was Raph > Lingard but that makes Son need a hit next week and rules out Nacho, plus Leeds/City was very open despite the score last time.

    Martinez
    Dunk - Dias - Cresswell
    Salah (c) - Jota (vc) - Bruno - Gundogan - Raphina
    Kane - DCL

    Bench: Bamford, Veltman, Dallas

    2.6 in the bank.

Fair point. Hard to say - he looked good along with Bowen last week, and his form is insane, but I don't like this fixture for them really.

I like Maddison a lot, he's definitely an option though I'd have to rethink Son a bit which is very risky given the double includes Soton.

7 goals in their last 4 away outings - that includes trips to Everton and Spurs where they were amazingly gungho.

I know the mainstream is more for Bruno+Nacho...

but Vardy+ lets say Neto or Lingard, it doesnt matter how you call
    it seems better.

Basically between Vardy and Bruno. Former has the better fix-s, also on pens and no Europa. Okay Vardy aint in form, but if the goal vs City wasnt offside or he scores a brace in the next game, we will change our minds quickly.

Around GW36 there is a turnaround in fixtures so this is the place where Bruno will he back for Vardy. If I want to get up in the rankings I have to take some big changes.

Also are thete fans of Leicester around? Do you think Nacho will soon be back to a rotational player or he will play with Vardy and Maddy upfront? After how much time is Barnes expected back?
    Thanks

If Nacho keeps his place and form for the next 3-4 games, its totally worth it of course

Not a valid point saying 'If the goal vs City counts', Vardy was like 20 kilometers away from City's last man.

If you have the funds then it makes sense to me - not much relevant history of cameos and he only needs to haul big time once for the play to work. It's just staying patient and putting him in your starting eleven almost every week.

Just too much budget for me, but i think Chilwell will start the tougher fixtures

Nailed Castagne could be a better pick, considering both are differentials?

Was really keen on Castagne, but he hasn't really put up any attacking numbers since gw 3. Alonso looks like scoring every time he plays

Which should help me with mine I guess 😉

        Torn between Vardy C or a Maddison B 🙂

I don't like C as much because it is a lot of money tied up in hoping Vardy can deliver on his price tag and also loses TAA

I'm 0.7m off your option B so would have to downgrade one of Dias or Shaw

I may even downgrade Dias to a Leicester defender to have money in the bank to get back Dallas, Coufal forthe West ham run in 🙂

    who's keeping Raphinha on wildcard?
tempted but might just be easier to bring back if form still there in a few weeks

Too many good mids - yes Raphinha is in the kind of form where he could snatch a return but i'm just planning on bringing him back later - possibly switching out Mount or Maddi as the fixtures turn poor around the same time as Leeds' pick up

Thoughts on my team selection for this GW? Also thinking of doing KDB & DCL to Bruno & Vardy in GW32. Rolling this week I think with 2.6itb.

    Forster
    Rudiger - AWB - Veltman
    Jota - Salah (v) - KDB (C) - Gundo - Raphina
    Kane - DCL

Subs: Martinez - Bamford - Coufal - Dallas

Rudiger really more nailed on right now than James? Latter just 0.3 and assist threat

He is more nailed but i'd prefer James rather than second-guessing Chelsea LB.

Problem with James is the pattern of fairly persistent cameos - without those I'd have him (with bench option) over Rudiger.

It's a problem indeed.. I'm all over the place with Chelsea defence 😀 Perhaps one safe (Mendy/Rudiger) and Alonso is the way to go?

    WC team:

    Mendy Forster
    TAA Coady Rudiger Soyuncu Shaw
    Sterling Bruno Jota Lingard Neto
    Kane Nacho Watkins

Will do Sterling to Son in GW32

    Thoughts?

    Either worth a -4?

    A) Digne to TAA
    B) Antonio to Nacho

Thoughts on that WC team ?

    Mendy/Forster
    TAA/Castagne/Shaw/Coufal/4.5
    Salah/Bruno/Son/Jota/Lingard
    Kane/Nacho/Davis

Should I get some City, Chelsea or Arsenal attack ?

    Too much in def ?

GW33 Stones Son to Bruno and Philips -4
