Salah on the bench as Raphinha misses Leeds’ meeting with Liverpool

A trio of key Fantasy Premier League assets have missed out on the starting line-ups of Leeds’ Double Gameweek 32 meeting with Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) is on the bench as for the first time since Double Gameweek 19 after a string of 12 successive Premier League starts.

Diogo Jota (£7.0m) is on the right-hand side of Liverpool’s front-three this evening, joined there by Roberto Firmino (£9.0m) and Sadio Mané (£11.7m).

Recent newcomer to the Fantasy radar Nathaniel Phillips (£4.1m) misses out with a hamstring injury tonight, drawing Fabinho (£5.4m) back into a centre-back role alongside Ozan Kabak (£5.0m).

Consequently, James Milner (£5.3m), Georginio Wijnaldum (£5.3m) and Thiago Alcantara (£5.5m) are the midfield trio for Liverpool tonight.

Raphinha (£5.5m) is also out of the matchday squad for Leeds following the injury he picked up against Manchester City.

Jack Harrison (£5.4m) returns for the Whites after missing the trip to the Etihad Stadium due to being ineligible.

Liam Cooper (£4.3m) is absent tonight through suspension so Pascal Struijk (£4.0m) returns to the side at centre-back with Diego Llorente (£4.4m).

Double Gameweek 32 Line-ups

Leeds United XI (4-1-4-1): Meslier; Alioski, Llorente, Struijk, Ayling; K Phillips; Costa, Roberts, Dallas, Harrison; Bamford.

Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Robertson, Kabak, Fabinho, Alexander-Arnold; Thiago, Wijnaldum, Milner; Mané, Firmino, Jota.

Double Gameweek 32 so far…

I get the logic and support from the ESL.

Why worry for a top 4 when you are way better than more than half the team around? This way you have guaranteed TV rights and an amazing game.

We are going to play the ESL Fantasy Footbal.

    Bring it in.

P.S. UEFA should have done it ages ago. Guarantee a spot in CL for top 6 clubs in England, or at least allow 6 team to enter from UK, not capping it at 4.

Because the competitive element is being removed

Why should Arsenal get to play in top level European for finishing 9th, or spurs for finishing 7th? Or Utd or Chelsea for finishing outside the top 4... or Juventus for finishing outside the Serie A champions league places

Why should Leciester or West Ham be excluded for finishing third or fourth etc

I won't play ESL Fantasy Football, nor will I watch my Chelsea play in it. And if we get chucked out of the league, I'll be perfectly fine with that. Always quite liked Craven Cottage as a ground.

The big German teams, Porto & PSG have turned them down.
Arsenal held to a draw by Fulham, Man United beat by relegation Sheffield, City torn apart by Leicester & Pool hammered by Villa no wonder they want to get out 😉

What did they do for the decade before that? What has arsenal and Spurs done in the past 20 years? What has United done in the past 8 years?

Wigan and Portsmouth has the same number of FA cup wins than Liverpool, Spurs, and United combined in the past 15 years

7-2 I believe? Think Liverpool have earned a lot over the past few years . . . but there you go . . the team and the manager don't support this, it's unfair on them. But its far against the six clubs.

Scientist's say a new virus has been discovered in the Premier League this week which appears to be attacking high points scoring Premier league players. KDB, Kane, Lingard and Lacazette have already become victims.

Klopp said he was highly concerned and wouldn't be taking any risks with Salah this evening,

    😉

There are a few different things that have been said and done which make this unlikely to just be a trick to gain power but continue the status quo

Not that Mourinho doesn't cause problems (I'm a Chelsea fan, I know!) - but it sure tells a story when the players who were actually playing (well) for Spurs come out and wish him luck. The ones putting in a real shift.

I know every Spurs fan is sick of him, and in some cases for good reason, but the fact so much of the squad is not up to par is also on the players & that issue will stick with the team.

Saw the same happen at Chelsea (twice), and also at United too. There are of course some outliers (e.g. Shaw).

That may be true, but the only common denominator in 4x sacking in 3 different PL clubs is Jose himself

For sure, he has an abrasive style, and it doesn't work for all players - but it's the ones that really work for it that play well for him & get picked...

Every manager gets sacked after too long these days anyway. It's Jose, so more of a media circus.

Chelsea won the keague the season after he was sacked with pretty much the same squad with 95 points

Tottenham have the same squad that reached the ucl final. The fact is he completely lost the dressing room yet again and couldnt get the best oit of the team. If kane stays and this super keague doesnt happen i have no doubt theyll be back in top 4 again next season

Spurs players downed tools before Mourinho arrived. Whole reason Poch left.

RE: Chelsea, after the first stint when he was sacked, we didn't win the next season.

For the second stint after he was sacked, we sis win with Conte but that starting XI was far different to Mourinho's. Alonso? Moses? Kante?

The Athletic are running an article saying that lots of the squad were getting sick of his attitude towards them.

Whatever your feelings on it are, it's quite clear that Mou can't manage modern PL clubs and their players with just a stick approach with no carrot.
