Who is the best FPL captain for Gameweek 37?

Fantasy Premier League managers have a straight shoot-out between three of this season’s best assets for the Gameweek 37 captaincy.

Bruno Fernandes (£11.4m), Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) and Harry Kane (£11.8m) are all in the conversation although any Fantasy managers chasing their mini-league rivals might be looking at differentials too.

Mason Greenwood (£7.2m), as well as Spurs’ midfielders Gareth Bale (£9.2m) and Son Heung-min (£9.7m) are also on the radar in a week with plenty of choice.

As always, the Captain Sensible article is here to help you with this week’s armband decisions. As this includes extensive data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

CAPTAIN POLL

It comes as little surprise that the aforementioned trio ofFernandes, Salah and Kane dominate this week’s Captain Poll.

Ahead of facing Fulham in front of an Old Trafford crowd, Manchester United’s talismanic midfielder has the slight edge with 33.1% of total votes so far.

Meanwhile, Salah currently sits in second with a decent chance of overtaking Fernandes, with his current backing at 32.0%.

After scoring Spurs’ first goal against Wolves and rewarding his owners with eight points in Blank Gameweek 36, Kane has been voted as the best captain for the upcoming round of fixtures by just over 15.0% of our users.

The only remaining player to have gained more than 5.0% of total votes so far is Greenwood, as he is looking to continue his impressive goalscoring form.

    After making the mistake to not trust my team and go Pickford > Meslier last week,what moves should I make this week..

    Am toying up replacing Nacho but am unsure of whether to go with Antonio / Bamford.

    Thoughts?

    Or should I hold my FT, play Nacho / Benteke and get 2 FT for my Bruno + Benteke -> Aguero + Harrison / Raphinha move next week?

                        Very rare to see Benteke pay off for anyone so well done. Even with allegiances aside I would lean towards Bamford. But, if u think his minutes are reduced than I can definitely see the appeal in Antonio. Coin flip and go with your gut. I have Lingard, and if Jota wasn't injured, my move would likely have been Watking ➡ Bamford.

                        With the TGW and Benteke, I managed to jump from 55k to 12k the last 2 weeks, hence I really want to hold momentum before my late aguero punt in the last week.

                        My fear of Leeds assets greatly costed me when I went Pickford over Meslier last week to spread the risk (with Dallas).

                        Bamford is still going to start as Rodrigo will replace Klich (who has been given time off), I just don't know how they would react as the away side with fans.

                        I have Lingard also hence I'm abit apprehensive of doubling up though they have the fixtures.. Form is another thing all together.

                        Which brings me to Newcastle. Never in a mil miles would I consider them but with incredible fixtures up next and at home, I do suspect they will put some sort of performance to end off the season..

    Well, after some good advice on here at two points of the day, both have persuaded me to go against the grain of United, makes no sense for me to get Bruno or Greenwood as I’ll make no headway on rivals.

    So I kept Mahrez and did Jota > Harrison (instead of Raphinha, who rival also has and would make no headway)

          I have Greenwood, not Bruno; too late in the season for a hit. I’m just saying I think the advice that you can’t make up ground by having players that your rivals have is terrible. You have to know who to have and who you can get away with not having. I always pick outside the template but this year Im limiting my variance and it’s really paid off. I feel very unlucky that most of the shots I’ve taken this year haven’t paid off, but that said, they haven’t killled me either.
