Rmt pls, limitless md2, wc in knockout phase

    Lukaku - Depay(C3) - Kramaric

    Eriksen(C2) - F.Torres(C4) - Insigne(C1) - Shaquiri - Jorginho

    Bednarek - Maehle - Kjaer - Denayer - Cancelo (C5)

    Donnaruma - Krul

Maybe Kramaric to Moreno if he proves more nailed than Morata.

Jorginho to Berrardi if he starts.

    Still not sure on Krul

    1. Paqueta Rice
      • 3 Years

10m on keepers is a lot imo. Donnaruma is good for clean sheets but averages only 2saves per game so not many save points. Krul not nailed and there is a 4m playing keeper. You could shave anywhere between 0.5-1.5 there. I don’t think Bednarek is first choice?

Bednarak is nailed and Krul has started the last 3 for Netherlands so seems a safe bet.
Good defence and captaincy options, maybe Wind for Kramaric and not sure about Shaq, but hard to suggest a midfielder that does look good for a decent price

    1. Camzy
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 13 Years
      2 years, 9 months ago

      Because he's a fullback vs Bonucci's CB.

TBH, I feel like spending more than 4.5m on any defenders is too much with the selection options we have.

      P. Torres, Denayer, Wijndal, Maehle, Kjaer etc and then you can pick a Turkey or Ukraine defender or Alioski for 4.5m. Being able to rotate them in and out is a huge advantage so just go fishing for clean sheets.

Don't see any point in putting more money in defense.

      1. Paqueta Rice
        • 3 Years

I think the ability to be able to sub players in and out is making people really spread the funds across their bench and not targeting as much of the best players available. Especially if you are planning on LL and WC in the group stages.

I disagree a lot. Look at any random GW in a season. You will have at least 1 probably 2 'good' players that don't get any returns in a given week. The sub system seriously favors good squads over putting money into a starting XI.

    Berardi vs Chiesa

Question on many people lips. I dont think its a difficult decision who starts based on form.

Chiesa- 0 goals 0 assists in last 8 games for Italy

Berardi- 5 goals in last 6 games for Italy

Id i were Mancini i know who id be starting. Berardi is clear winner

    Agree!

      Yup.

Plus with these tournament rules and the ability to sub in players, Berardi is a no brainer IMO. Plays on the first day and you've only risked 6m if he doesn't start.

Draft 5.23 - change of strategy. Just not sold on 3 premiums when the likelihood of captaining the last one is actually quite low.

    Jorg Mount Malin Wijn Torres
    Lukaku Kane Arnie

Its a risk - but a calculated one because you can do a lot with the money. Just as in FPL, the premiums are not worth 12m in a vacuum, but they are when you factor in the captaincy. At the back of the chain, are you really going to twist into those players if you already have a 10+ score banked from another captain?

I have tinkered with a Jota lineup (over Wijn, making the saving elsewhere). That might be quite good just not sure how nailed he is

        1. Karan14
          • 7 Years
          2 years, 9 months ago

Don't think paying the premium in this game matters much. You're going to be able to build a new team 4 times out of the next 5 Matchdays.
I think I want the best players with the highest celing every week don't want to compromise.

            • 14 Years
            2 years, 9 months ago

thats fine, but you will have to compromise whichever way you do it - 3 power forwards means you will have players like Alaba and/or Nego in the team.

            1. Karan14
              • 7 Years
              2 years, 9 months ago

Yes I have Nego but I don't think having one less sub matters too much unless it's a very good option. The difference is really one great option + Nego or two average options.

Yes, you're fine as long as you play 3 defenders. Maybe have a practise run on your PC or smartphone before the tournie begins. That's what I've done. UEFA is not as slick as FPL so don't leave anything until the last minute.

    CR7, Lukaku, Depay

Thinking of possibly switching Lukaku to Kane though, due to Russia home advantage and leaky Croation defence? That would meal also losing Alioski for a 4m player from same team (Ristovski).

I'm curious as to how much everyone is factoring home field advantage into their squad selections?

In the group stages we have:

    Denmark: 3 games in Copenhagen
    England: 3 games in London
    Germany: 3 games in Munich
    Holland: 3 games in Amsterdam
    Italy: 3 games in Rome
    Spain: 3 games in Sevilla

    To a lesser extent:

Russia: 2 games in St. Petersburg, 1 in Copenhagen
Scotland: 2 games in Glasgow, 1 in London
(I've ignored Hungary from this equation but they get a mention below)

But if I look at the other tournament favourites:

Belgium: St. Petersburg (v.RUS), Copenhagen (v.DEN), St. Petersburg
France: Munich (v.GER), Budapest (v.HUN), Budapest
Portugal: Budapest (v.HUN), Munich (v.GER), Budapest
(Any team can be unlucky in a group stage to play the 'host' nation, but to play two 'host' nations is double unlucky)

Due to the pandemic every country still has travel restrictions in place so I expect 95% home crowds. Which is a big advantage to the home teams.

So to return full circle to my original question; will home field advantage affect your squad selection?

Hope this is useful in your squad deliberations. 🙂

planning to have 10 in the first round
and 11 in the second round

its a factor for sure, but not enough for me to want to back Scotland or Hungary

Best 4.5 GK? Thinking Schlager, but is he nailed? Krul also an option, but currently on 3 Dutch already.

I don't think he's nailed. Wind may start up front.

Do they even compete for the same spot?

It looks like there are 3 places upfront with Braithwate, Poulson, Dolberg, Wind, and Skov Olsen fighting for them

Wind hasnt featured in the friendlies so far

Having Depay and Wijnaldum plus a defender too much Holland?

    Depay or Wijnaldum?

      Depay

      Both.

Wijnaldum if only because I think there's more similarly priced quality forwards to Depay than there are mids compared to Wijnaldum and Wijnaldum played in tougher games than Depay and never hides.

Thanks appreciate the reply, what other midfielders do you like I’m currently have Eriksen, Mount, Wijnaldum, B.silva
