Jose Mourinho picks his England team for Croatia:

    ..............Henderson................
    Walker Stones Mings Chilwell
    ............Phillips Rice...............
    ......Foden Mount Grealish.....
    ..................Kane....................

He did say Bellingham would be best suited for that position but is reluctant to throw him in from the start.

And to be fair, both the wingers would be coming inside, so the fullbacks would have to push up to hold the width. That's 6 players forward in the attacking phase, with 4 back. That's aggressive. Pep, Klopp and Tuchel play with 5 forward, 5 back in the attacking phase. I suspect only one fullback will go forwards at a time in Jose's mind, to keep the 5-5 balance.

There's this weird opinion going around that 2 DMs is defensive. Not always, it depends on the team around them, how aggressive the fullbacks are etc. Henderson and Wijnaldum don't get goals or assists for Liverpool because of the aggressive fullbacks, they need to stay back and cover. Whereas City's fullbacks don't get goals or assists because the 8s get forward, so the fullbacks are the ones playing inside and covering. There needs to be a balance.

I want Gosens and Puchacz in my team as they are more differential and attacking. However not sure if they are nailed. Does anyone know more info?

Alternatively i could play it safe and play two 4.5 instead like P Torres and Denayer. Not a big fan of CBs.

Does anybody know if there are any stand out players from the smaller nations who have a monopoly on set pieces?

Someone like Eriksen for Denmark who takes pens, corners, free kicks etc.

Currently got the likes of Wijnaldum and Insigne. But wouldnt it be a better idea to go for the set piece specialist's even if they are from a nation that isn't expected to do too well?

Looked up Malinovskyi, Zielinski, Forsberg,Sabitzer, Jankto and Mount too. Apart from Mount the rest are basically the main men of their teams. But none really standout. Its either due to poor fixtures or playing a bit deep.

But i'd look to add one or 2 of these to my midfield which already has Eriksen Insigne and Torres. Might lean towards 2 of Jankto, Malinivskyi or Zielinski

    Tear it apart. Please

    Hradecky.
    Kjaer. Maehle. Puchacz. P.Torres.
    Llorente. Eriksen. Berardi(cap1). Malinovski. F Torres (cap4).
    Lukaku(Cap2). Depay(Cap3).

Subs: Bachman. Pepe. F Torres. Ronaldo(Cap5)

    1m in bank for GW2

Seen an Influx of Puchaz recently, what’s the deal with that?

Poo-cacks, as I like to call him phonetically, is supposed to start for Poland and is only 4m. Easy money saver. I did have Ristovski but he looks less certain to start now according to the lineup lists on the Euro website.

I’m Macedonian mate, I’ll tell you Ristovski is nailed on. Wouldn’t listen to any clowns say otherwise. Problem is he may play CB as opposed to wingback. If deployed at wingback though he is a steal

I think that may be my fault in fact. As UEFA says:

        Poland
Opening game: Poland vs Slovakia (14 June)
Szczęsny; Piątkowski, Glik, Bednarek, Bereszyński; Krychowiak, Klich, Zieliński, Puchacz; Jóźwiak, Lewandowski

Every tournament I lose CR7 he hauls. So nah, he stays. Plus I've a bet on them winning at 16-1.

It will depend on the formation. If FDB goes with a back 5 like he has in the last two friendlies, Wijndal will likely start as left wing back. Should FDB revert to a back 4 which they also play, hewill likely lose his place to Blind, who has recently come back from injury.

It is anyones guess what formation FBD goes with. He has stated that there isn't a fixed formation and that players will be able to adapt to changes.

I'll be honest, I'm not 100% sure how the Euro Fantasy actually works, can anyone simplify it for me? I see people picking captains for certain games in a specified gameweek, how does this work exactly? My current team is..

    Lukaku - Depay - Schick
    Eriksen - F Torres - Insigne (c) - Jota
    Spinazzola - Kjaer - Mahele
    Bachmann

    Hradecky - Elvedi - Wijndal - M Llorente

You can change captain at the end of every day once all matches are done. You lose the captain points if you do this.

      1. Kodap
        • 6 Years
        2 years, 9 months ago

Ahhhhh okay, so for example.. If Insigne was to not have any involvement I can change the captain to someone else after the game this evening?

But, if he was to score a hat-trick, I'd just leave the armband on him?

        1. artvandelay316
          • 3 Years
          2 years, 9 months ago

Yes, once the final match of the day is over, you can switch the armband to someone playing who you fancy to score points for the next day. You can keep doing this until you decide to stick with the captain points on one day.

you need to start the players that play earlier and bench the ones who play later in the gameweek.

So you need to play Hradecky and bench Bachmann. play winjdal and bench Jota

    3. Deulofail
      • 8 Years

You can switch to a new captain if:

      1) The new captain hasn't play yet
      2) The new captain plays on different day in the round of fixtures (called Matchdays)
      3) You sumbit your change before the deadline on the day that the new captain plays
      3) Your current captain has not got a red card

The same goes for managing your subs (except rule 3). You can sub-in players from your bench if they haven't played yet. You can't reverse the decisions of course, either.

      1. Deulofail
        • 8 Years
        2 years, 9 months ago

Ah balls. The exception for subs is the RC rule. You can sub-out players who get a RC.

I think yes he is. A better captaincy option. On the other side Berardi isnt nailed to start MD2 or 3 even if he starts 1. Too much competition there(Chiesa,Bernadeschi).

Going both might be a good idea. But i like the insurance Insigne gives me.

Any love for Mertens to partner Big Rom in game weeks 1&3? (Or immobile)

    I got a choice of
    Foden & Mertens
    Mount/Grealish & Immobile
    Or zielesnki

Or scrap both because of England uncertainty get a cheaper Alaba, and whoever I want up front
