From what we have seen so far, on Limitless round 2..

    1. Who are the main players you would get in?

    2. Who from england stands out?

    Thanks

      1. Italy - prob Immobile and at least one D. Yarmolenko or Yaremchuck. Lukaku, Dumfries, Wiknaldum (from the teams who've played so far).

      2. Hard to tell where the points are going to come.from. Gut tells me Foden or Mount. Phillips played really well, but you don't really need a budget enabler with limitless. Think I'll struggle to fit Kane in with only 3 forward slots and I think Scotland will score.

Mainly the wing backs have impressed me - Spinazzola, Dumfries, Meunier. Yarmolenko and Insigne nailed in my midfield.

Re: England, I guess I was one of the few who wasn't especially impressed with the performance yesterday, but still likely to triple up vs Scotland. Trippier, Sterling, Kane the most likely candidates.

Thanks. I have gosens (plays tomorrow) and kjaer (2 points) on field with p.torres (plays today) on bench.

I can swap torres with gosens today and see torres gets on. Then tomorrow I can still choose to bring gosens back in?how that goes which gives me chance to sub gosens back in tomorrow in place of kjaer

No. Sub in only Torres first.

In case he scores less than 2 points, you’d then rather sub him out for Jota.

I’m taking the dive, not playing any chips in MD2.... still saving LL for MD3.

I still think a WC in QF is near essential, 3 FTs will in no way be enough to navigate 8 teams being eliminated + any suspensions or injuries imo

    Now the decision on chips.
MD2 All the plusses with everyone playing and some mismatches to make use of. (Limitless)
MD3 Good for changing a side to target those who will not play weakened sides.(limitless)
The WC cannot take advantage in the same way as limitless and a forced WC in Round of 16 makes it less valuable.
QF's is good for another WC if the games don't play out the way we expect. The worse case scenario is having the 5 free tfr's only, but unlikely. One maybe forced to use tfr's on less expensive players. (Limitless has less value as the problem passed on to the semis) WC a good call maybe.
In conclusion, all the talk about chips before the tournament started may not be the right way to go. Massive luck required either way.

For QFs you only have 3 transfers not 5. Makes sense to save wildcard for that.

Hehehe I have exactly the same decision.
My wife made the transfer for Schmeichel.
Ended up costing her a point.

But the upside of a clean sheet or even a pen save means i will likely make the transfer. Would kick myself otherwise.

MD3 Limitless: No team reset after it cos MD4 Last 16 is another wildcard.

MD5, Quarter Final round: Wildcard. Means I can pick who I want in MD4 wildcard, not worried if they get to next round, and try splitting team to ensure at least 11 starters for semi finals with 5 FT for them.

My idea was to do limitless in the quarters and then wildcard in the semis basically handpicking a team for each knockout round up until the final. I’ve never played before though so I don’t know if it’s a good idea or not.

      1. GreennRed
        • 12 Years
        2 years, 9 months ago

It's good in that you'll know the qualified teams playing when you pick. But I think the 5 free transfers each for semis and final means you could pick 1 from a team and 2 each from the other 7 on QF wildcard and hedge your team to have 7 or 8 for semis, plus 5 free transfers.

        1. LSK
          • 5 Years

Yeah you’re probably right. 5 free transfers is a lot.

      There are few other arguments.

You either LL MD2, WC MD3 or LL MD3 and WC QFs.

There is no other strategy that is viable.

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 14 Years

Makes sense. I gues some of it will depend on what kind of shape your team is in after MD1.

The other question is probably which MD 2 or 3 are you likely to benefit most from the unlimited budget. Based on the fixtures, I'm seeing the most potential for budget clashed in MD3?

        1. Camzy
          • Fantasy Football Scout Member
          • 13 Years

LL in MD2 takes advantage of the budget better.

However, it's not about the budget for using LL in MD3, it's about saving the WC for the QFs.

          1. GreennRed
            • 12 Years
            2 years, 9 months ago

And avoiding Limitless in MD2 prevents your MD1 team being MD3 team before transfers. MD3 will probably see rotation from already qualified teams.

  27. GreennRed

2 FT. I have Bale, Eriksen, Denayer and Wijndal. Not taking hits for MD2.

Thinking Bale was poor v Switzerland and Turkey need to bounce or they'll be out. Unfortunately Eriksen has to go, 1.5m in the bank.

Thinking to ship Bale and Eriksen and Ristovski, Kjaer and Torres should be enough defenders, slim chance that Denayer and Wijndal get gametime.

Yeah although I’d be tempted to use the 0.5 to get another playing defender and give Bale another chance against Turkey. At least you know he’ll play and can always pull something out of the bag. I think the sub rules mean having as many starters as possible is the best strategy.

Cheers LSK. I'll be hoping for the Bale performance I wanted in MD1 punt. Sure he can hardly be worse! Will prob go Denayer to Italian defender. Wijndal looks like getting more gametime than Denayer.

Spinazzola and Immobile (c) the other points scorers with Beradi and Alaba chipping in. Kane, Bale, Depay all blanked. Got both Torres’ coming in today.

      Lukaku (10)
      Depay (2)
      Alaba (5)
      Berardi (6)
      Spinazzola (18) (C)
      Hradecky (13)
      Puchacz (?)
      Zielinsky (?)
      Ronaldo (?)
      TOTAL - 54

      Bench: Bachmann (2), Maehle (2), Eriksen (1), Denayer (0)

Not sure which strategy will take now.
I made my team for MD1 and MD3, hoping to use LL on MD2 and WC on QF. What do you think?

So mostly the cheap defenders flopped, but some did ok. Anyone considering brining in Boyata, Mings or anyone from Finland?

Seen a surprising few RMTs on twitter still buying cheap defenders with their unlimited chip. With threw me a bit because I'm wondering if they know something I don't.

There are more expensive defenders on same teams as cheaper defenders who did equally badly.

Went with Nego to free up funds to get in Cancelo and Eriksen... also have double Danish defence and Denayer.... So no subs and a number of players out of the tournament.

    Looks like WC in GW3!

I did the same nego as enabler for the two you mentioned. Now whole balance is off.. LL2 AND WC3 FOR ME.
