Ronaldo. I don't think I'd personal switch from Lukaku though. Do you think Portugal will keep a clean sheet?

Just keep Lukaku if you've already had him captain

No. 87th minute goal from Nego to make it 1-4. Christy hat-trick and assist. I can but dream 😉

I had Cancelo before so clean sheet bankers out the window.
Trying to make amends as I don't own Lukaku and have Lewandowski.

Ronaldo captaincy is going to be very high today. Top-class, premium asset and all those with several days' worth of failed punts will be going for him.

If you have him and you have a decent captain score like Lukaku it's probably worth avoiding giving him the armband and hoping he stays quiet, knowing you will bank 50% of any returns. It's a good way to stay ahead of the pack if he blanks or even only scores one.

I know it seems odd not capping him against Hungary given that this is his best fixture in the group. I had half a mind to YOLO it but reasoned that the best that could happen out of it would be to jump on a very popular captain who won't help me get ahead.

I think also he’ll be a high C choice but with Lukaku scoring well and him being so highly owned and I presume captained could CR7 C be more of a differential than we may be letting on?

He's not THAT highly owned tbh. 29%. That's lower than Lukaku, Mbappe and Kane.

Florida as well as Texas. Most other sports haven’t had an event where they can sell out a crowd other than NHL playoffs where it seems that most teams who made the playoffs have been able to sell out stadiums, especially now (Vegas, Islanders or at least they’re close to 100%)

Yes they do (I've a good friend who lives there) but unfortunately they have a very authoritarian Prime Minister (who's best mates with Putin) called Viktor Orbán who makes it up as he goes along to suit his own personal/party's agenda.

Any thoughts on this limitless draft?
Struggling with the midfield, looked at Malinovskyi and Eden Hazard as well as don't really want Ferran Torres but seems like a lack of options there.

    Pickford - Lloris
    Spinazola - Meunier - Stones - Pavard - Zinchenko
    Insigne - Berardi - Wijnaldum - F. Torres - Jota
    Lukaku - Kane - Mbappe/Griezzman

I wouls definitely avoid Jota as he is up against Germany. I would also maybe opt for the Ukraine goalie or Simon for Pickford. Dunno about Stones, would go for either Alba or Dumfries probably. Rest is good.

  17. DAZZ

I think people are being way to cautious on LL. KDB could very well start but people are avoiding because of a ‘risk’ he wont play. It’s easy. Mbappe/Griezman will be on your bench for the final day. It’s not even a risk to be fair. Definitely worth punting on KDB/Hazard.

    1. DAZZ
      • 9 Years

I also believe triple England is overkill. A defender and Kane is enough. Kane could go nuts against that defence.

    2. Thomas Magnum

LL will end up like a double gameweek in PL fantasy. Either the FFS template team does well and everyone raises a similar amount of spots but nothing massive cause they’ll follow the template, or it’ll be a fail and it’ll still score higher than those teams that aren’t LL but people here will all be upset over it and the Mavericks/casuals whatever you call them will come out on top

      1. DAZZ
        • 9 Years
        2 years, 9 months ago

I think you’re overestimating how many people are playing the fantasy game that follow this forum. It’s an incredibly small sample. And the % playing LLMD2 isn’t that high here.

    3. JohnnyRev7
      • 13 Years
      2 years, 9 months ago

Agree re being cautious on LL.

I guess we've all been conditioned by FPL/UEFA to consider a balanced team within a set budget.

Don't. It is a one off chance to pick the best 15 players with no budget.

You'll have a very strong bench to sub in, so through the kitchen sink at it.
