£20k in prizes in Ultimate Fan’s free-to-enter EURO 2020 quarter-final

Sponsored by Ultimate Fan

Fancy adding some extra Fantasy thrills to the EURO 2020 knock-outs? New kids on the block Ultimate Fan are offering £20,000 in prizes with their free-to-enter EURO 2020 quarter-final game.

If you haven’t come across the game before, all you need to know is that Ultimate Fan combines Fantasy Football with the thrill of pack opening and this latest competition is FREE to enter.

Simply sign up today and you can claim a FREE pack with six cards to build your team.

How does Ultimate Fan work?

Ultimate Fan managers build their five-a-side teams using packs, scoring points for their players’ real-life performances and winning cash prizes.

The scoring system is a little different to Fantasy Premier League with points on offer not just for players but for teams.

Individual players will score 10 points for goal, regardless of their positional classification, four points for an assist and two points for shots on target.

As you can see from the scoring system above, only defenders can keep clean sheets, which they score three points for, while winning a tackle earns one point.

Ultimate Fan packs also come with team cards, allowing managers to go into the next round backing teams as well as players.

If the team you have backed wins their tie, you gain five points as well as one for every goal they score.

Managers can also apply mods to their teams. The Golden Boot doubles the points of your chosen player if they score a goal while the Captain scores double regardless of whether or not they find the net.

How do I build my team?

Once you have signed up and claimed your FREE starter pack, drag and drop your players into your team’s slots.

You have slots to field two defenders, two midfielders and one forward as well as choosing one team to back in the next round of action.

To build your squad, either subscribe Ultimate Fan+ Gold or Ultimate Fan+ Silver for more packs. Check out the details below to understand the differences between the two tiers of membership.

What are the prizes?

The next Ultimate Fan round is the quarter-finals of EURO 2020, which star on Friday, July 2.

The winner of this stage will receive £5,000, second place get £2,500 and everyone placed between ninth and one-hundredth receives £100.

Our quarter-final team

With Belgium one of the favourites for EURO 2020, having them in place for the rest of the tournament is a welcome boost for my team. The win over Portugal secured me 9 points in the Last 16.

However, this does mean that Leonardo Bonucci isn’t really an ideal player to have, but at least I’m covered one way or the other depending on the result.

Pau Torres on the other side feels like he may have more potential, if he can actually start a game that is. His two assists in the last two games is encouraging at least.

In attack, the Hazard brothers pins my hopes on a convincing Belgium win. Younger sibling Thorgan is outscoring his brother so far in the tournament, but Eden did at least show some encouraging signs in the last game.

With only one forward in my squad, I’ll have to pin some hopes on a high scoring game for the Ukraine against England.

Why is Fofana only 4.5m? I'm not complaining but I expect at least 5m for a Leicester defender

  6. Benitez to Everton - Does that change your picks?

Benitez became the blues 5th manager in 5 seasons when he was unveiled at Goodison Park today https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1410240527988051968
It's fair to say the fan reaction has been 'mixed' with plenty of naysayers outraged about his history at Liverpool and previous remarks.

However, as Fantasy managers we don't care about any of this, the key question is will Rafa be able to stir this 'small club' back to greatness, or at least some sort of consistency in results? You'd think he'd struggle not to improve on Ancelotti's abject home form from last season and hopefully bring more structured play to take advantage of some great early fixtures.

But will Benitez appointment make you more or less likely to chose Everton players in your early teams? And which players do you think could benefit most?

I'm inclined to say that the defensive assets will be appealing. Digne in particular entering my thoughts as more and more 'essential' as they say.

I think I will monitor them in the beginning and going for Dias over Digne. Holgate could be interesting if he gets some gametime.

I am more interested in Digne now, although it takes time for a defense to click, and it's difficult to say whether we will see expected improvement at the back right from the start of the season.

Rafa's a great manager where ever he goes and knows how to win trophies.

When he came to Chelsea we all bleated, yet he won us the 2013 EL trophy.

He did a decent job at Newcastle with Ashley's handcuffs.

Everton fans bleating about past history comments need to wake up. With a decent transfer budget and the backing of Moshiri and the board, he will turn Everton into a side pushing for Europe next season.

Is Trippier nailed? Risky. Can even take a further -4 for Kimpembe > Walker for the extra 0.1 i feel england will get a clean sheet. I only have a 12 point ML lead and wveryone else has WC so i need to try reduce the damage.

He's not nailed but Southgate could stick with same line up as they played well. I'm not sure I would take a -12 but it could work out if England keep a CS.

    Sanchez l 4.0

Manager merry-go-round in full swing now, Nuno to Spurs confirmed.

    https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1410316079105122304?s=19

    Any interest here for FPL?

My first thoughts are obviously Doherty, but I saw Football.London reporting that the thing that sold Levy on Nuno was his use of 442 and 433 at Valencia. If he didn't play wingbacks, that must hurt Doherty's appeal a lot right?

Yeah same, I'm not interested in Digne or Fofana. One is overpriced and the other plays in a team shipping goals. Reguilon could be an interesting option since he's only priced at 5.0

I think the obvious thing with Spurs for me is the front 2/3, dependant on formation, if Kane leaves. I think Lucas Moura and Dele Alli both at juts 6.5 could become decent options.

Levy likes attacking football, like any fan. I reckon the coach get's to call the play. Can't see Nuno going to a club where attacking, aggressive football isn't the style. Spurs were better at the start of last season when they were a side that took the initiative.

    4. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
      • 14 Years

Disaster of an appointment for Spurs stylistically - Levy backed himself into a corner with his idiocy & has made a panic appointment

You couldn’t get two more chalk and cheese matchups than Nuno’s negativity & Spurs desire for positive attacking play

He’s also an incredible sulk with the media, never really comfortable on media duties, and his every move will be under a level of scrutiny like nothing he ever experienced at Wolves

Will end in tears mark my words - probably gone within 18 months, 24 at most… and possibly even gone this season

(And he will rotate Doherty & Aurier as much if not even more than Jose!)

I don’t think Martial should leave nor should United fans want him too. Cavani is only there for one extra year and may not have the fitness at his age to start all games. Add in Europe and other competitions and we will definitely need a squad. Look at the depth of City and Chelsea.
